This document discusses improper fractions and mixed numbers. It defines mixed numbers as numbers with a whole number and fraction part, like 2 1/2, and improper fractions as fractions where the numerator is larger than the denominator. The document explains that mixed numbers and improper fractions are related because mixed numbers can be expressed as improper fractions. It provides steps for converting between the two forms, such as multiplying the whole number by the denominator and adding the numerator to get the improper fraction when starting with a mixed number.
This power point may be used as a review for adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying fractions. There are video links to reviews on you tube and practice problems.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
Â
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Â
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

2. Introduction
In this presentation, I will talk about:
What are mixed numbers and improper
fractions?
Relationships between mixed numbers
and improper fractions
How to convert between mixed numbers
and improper fractions
Enjoy!
3. What is a Mixed Number?
A mixed number is a number that has a unit
and a fraction:
It is a fraction that is more than 1
Some more examples include:
4. What is an Improper
Fraction
An improper fraction is a fraction whose
numerator is bigger than it’s
denominator
This is an improper fraction:
They are called improper fractions
because a proper fraction’s numerator is
smaller than it’s denominator
5. Relationship Between Mixed
Numbers and Improper Fractions
There is a relationship between mixed
numbers and fractions because mixed
numbers are actually improper fractions
in a different form!
Because you can change improper
fractions into mixed numbers that have
the same value!
I will tell you how to convert them on the
next page......
6. How to Convert Improper
Fractions to Mixed Numbers
Here is an easy way to convert between
them:
If the improper fraction is , then think:
how many 3s can fit into 10?
3 right? So write 3 at the side(3 is your
unit)
So now, what’s the remainder? 1, so 1 is the
numerator and the denominator stays the
same: 3
7. Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions
Here is how to convert mixed numbers to
improper fractions
If the mixed number is , then
multiply 4 by 1, then add 3, that is the
numerator. The denominator stays the
same.
Your improper fraction is 7/3!
