Diana, Princess of Wales was born in Norfolk in 1961. Her nickname was “Lady Di”.
Her father’s name was Edward John Spencer and her mother’s name was Frances
Shand Kydd. She had three siblings called Sarah Elizabeth Lavinia, Jane Cynthia and
Charles. She married Prince Charles in 1981. She had two sons: Prince William and
Harry. Diana did a lot of work to help and comfort people. She said “I would liketo be a
queen in the hearts of people.” She visited hospitals, schools etc. She also dealt with
serious illnesses and health, including AIDS and leprosy. Besides that, she supported
organizations working with the homeless children, drug addicts and elderly. She
divorced in 1996. One year later she died in a car accident

Listening Transcript
Mozart lived between 1756 and 1791. He was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1756. His
family was a musical family. His father, Leopold, was a composer and violin teacher. His
sister was also a good musician. Young Mozart never went to school, instead his father
taught him at home. He was very clever and his favourite subjects were Maths and
Music. Mozart learnt to play keyboards when he was just 3 and he composed music for
the piano at the age of five. He wrote his first full symphony when he was 9 years old.
He was only 12 when he completed his first full opera. He gave a lot of concerts with his
father and sister between the ages of six and seventeen.
Mozart moved to Vieanna and started composing some of his finest works including the
opera “The Marriage of Figaro”. He composed more than 600 works. During his short
life many musicians and music experts said he was a musical genius and he is one of
the most famous composers.
