Diana, Princess of Wales was born in Norfolk in 1961.Her nickname was “Lady
Di”. Her father’s name was Edward John Spencer and her mother’s name was Frances
Shand Kydd .She had three siblings called Sarah Elizabeth Lavinia, Jane, and Charles.
She married Prince Charles in 1981.She had two sons, Prince William and Harry. Diana
did a lot of work to help and comfort people. She said “I would like to be a queen in the
hearts of people. “She visited hospitals, schools, etc. She also dealt with serious illnesses
and health, including AIDS and leprosy. Besides that, she supported organizations
working with the homeless children, drug addicts and elderly. She divorced in 1996.One
year later she died in a car accident.

Hi I am Ayşe. I am 15 years old.I have a big family. My grandparents are Ali and Fatma.
They are 70 years old. They are retired and now they live in a small village in Muğla. My
father’s name is Mert, he is a doctor and he works in a state hospital. He was born in
1975. He is really handsome. And Ece is my mother, she doesn’t work. She is 38. I have
two siblings. Their names are Deniz and Onur. They are twins. They are students and
they are 18 years old. I love my family.

Activity12- Listening
Mozart lived between 1756 and 1791. He was born in Salzburg, Austria in 1756.
His family was a musical family. His father Leopold was a composer and violin teacher.
His sister was also a good musician. Young Mozart never went to school, instead his
father thought him at home. He was very clever and his favourite subjects were Maths
and Music. Mozart learnt to play keyboards when he was just 3 and he composed music
for the piano at the age of five. He wrote his first full symphony when he was 9 years old.
He was only 12 when he completed his first full opera. He gave a lot of concerts with his
father and sister between the ages of six and seventeen.
Mozart moved to Vieanna and started composing some of his finest works
including the opera of “the Marriage of Figaro”. He composed more than 600 works.
During his short life many musicians and music experts said he was musical genius and
he is one of the most famous composers.
