This document summarizes a business skills volunteering event between employees from Lucid, a visual collaboration software company, and students from Lincoln Elementary School. During the event, volunteers coached student teams to develop business plans and pitch ideas for improving remote learning features in LucidSpark. The winning student team proposed adding a mission-based learning game. Surveys found the event improved students' confidence and career interests, and volunteers saw benefits of encouraging students' career exploration. Both students and volunteers expressed interest in future collaborations.

4. Business Case Challenge
Through SuitUp, volunteers from Lucid and students from Lincoln Elementary School
participated in a SuitUp business competition in which they identified a feature from
their favorite technologies to include in LucidSpark that could improve remote learning
and tasked with creating a business plan for their idea. Volunteers coached students in
various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize.

SuitUp asked students if Lucid’s SuitUp competition made an

engaging with the volunteers influenced their career choice and
now they can see themselves using skills such as communication,
teamwork and public speaking.
