Image Preparation using Paint.Net

1. Enhanced Podcasts
Picture Preparation

Paint.NET

2. Step 1
Open the required picture
Select File, Open.
Browse for the file.
Select the Filename.
Select Open.

3. Step 2
Change the zoom (if necessary)
Select 'Zoom in' or
'Zoom out' icon from
the standard toolbar
(top screen)
Determine the picture size
View the dimensions
from the status bar
(bottom screen)

4. Step 3
Resize the picture (if necessary)
Select Image, Resize.
NB: Make sure 'Maintain aspect
ratio' is selected
Type in the new
width.
Select OK

5. Step 4
Crop the picture
Use the 'rectangle select tool'
Click and drag
Check selection size by using
the status bar(bottom screen)
Use the 'move selection tool' to
position the selection
Select Image, Crop to selection

6. Step 5
Add effects (if necessary)
Use the 'Effects menu'
Save the new picture
Select File, Save As.
Select the correct location
Type in the Filename
Select the required format
Select Save
