Transactional analysis is a theory of personality and psychotherapy developed by Eric Berne in the 1950s. Its goals are developing autonomy through awareness of ego states and intimacy through freely exchanging positive attention. Berne observed that people need recognition and stimulation from others. He described how society developed a "stroke economy" where people compete for attention and developed ways of structuring their time to get needs for strokes and structure met.
Transactional analysis (TA) was formulated by Eric Berne in the 1960s as a model of psychotherapy and personality theory. It views personality as comprising three ego states - parent, adult, and child. The goal of TA therapy is to help clients transform themselves by identifying distorted ego states and restoring healthy communication patterns. Key concepts include strokes, transactions, games, and life scripts. While providing a simple framework, TA has been criticized for its cognitive focus and lack of empirical support since Berne's death.

Transactional analysis is a personality theory developed by Eric Berne that views a person as comprising three ego states - Parent, Adult, and Child. Berne proposed that people communicate through transactions between their ego states, and that unhealthy interactions can take the form of crossed transactions. He also introduced the concepts of life scripts, existential positions, strokes, games, and contracts to understand interpersonal relationships and facilitate change. Transactional analysis was influenced by Freud's psychoanalysis but focuses more on observable behaviors and interactions between people.
According to Freud, personality is largely established by age 5 and early experiences influence behavior throughout life. Freud believed personality develops through psychosexual stages in childhood where libido becomes focused on different erogenous areas. If stages are completed successfully, the result is a healthy personality, but fixation can occur if issues are unresolved. Erikson's theory describes psychosocial development across the lifespan through interacting with the social environment.

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory that views personality as consisting of an internal Parent, Adult, and Child. Eric Berne discovered TA and proposed that people engage in ego states when interacting. Transactions are stimuli between people based on their current ego states. Straight transactions involve complementary ego states responding, while crossed transactions involve mismatched ego states. Berne also identified ulterior transactions, strokes, life scripts, existential positions, and games that people play for various psychological reasons. Anna Freud was the daughter of Sigmund Freud and made significant contributions to psychoanalysis and child psychology. She developed techniques for treating children using play and observation, recognizing that children's symptoms and abilities differ from adults. Freud established the field of child psychoanalysis and emphasized the role of the ego in personality development. She systematically studied defense mechanisms and provided clear explanations of their functions. Her work influenced the development of ego psychology and established psychoanalysis as an empirical field of study.
1) Hans Eysenck argued that personality involves both biology and environment. Using factor analysis, he concluded that personality can be categorized into two dimensions: extraversion-introversion and neuroticism.
2) Temperament refers to innate individual differences in attention, arousal, and reactivity that are genetically based. Various theorists have proposed between three to five dimensions of temperament.
3) Sigmund Freud proposed five psychosexual stages of development from infancy to adulthood that influence personality: oral, anal, phallic, latency, and genital stages. Fixations during these stages can result in certain personality traits and behaviors.

A stack is a linear data structure in which an element can be inserted or deleted only at one end of the list.
A stack works on the principle of last in first out and is also known as a Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) list.
A bunch of books is one of the common examples of stack. A new book to be added to the bunch is placed at the top and a book to be removed is also taken off from the top.
Therefore, in order to take out the book at the bottom, all the books above it need to be removed from the bunch.

In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

7. I'm OK, You're OK, by Thomas A Harris MD, is
one of the best selling self-help books ever
published.
It is a practical guide to Transactional Analysis as
a method for solving problems in life.
From its first publication during 1967, the
popularity of I'm OK, You're OK gradually
increased until, during 1972, its name made the
New York Times Best Seller list and remained
there for almost two years.
It is estimated by the publisher to have sold over
15 million copies to date and to have been
translated into over a dozen languages.
8. Purpose
I’m OK – You’re OK is based on the theories of
Transactional Analysis developed by Dr. Eric Berne
in the bestseller Games People Play in 1964.
Harris wrote that most people live out their lives in
the negative “I’m Not OK – You’re OK” state,
leading to dysfunctional emotional reactions towards
the people around you.
Harris defines this and other states and gives sound
advice to allow all people to adopt the ideal “I’m OK
– You’re OK” mindset.
For Harris, being OK with yourself and with others is
the way to happiness, personal satisfaction, and good
relationships.

According to the International Transactional
Analysis Association, A 'is a theory of
personality and a systematic psychotherapy for
personal growth and personal change‘ In
1. addition to defining transactions as the
fundamental unit of social intercourse,
Berne also went on to define 3 ego
states: Parent, Adult, and Child. But
unlike Freud’s ego states, which were
more “concepts”, Berne’s ego states
could be seen with observable behaviors.
11. Harris summarized the three ego states in I’m
OK – You’re OK as:
Parent – taught concept
Child – felt concept
Adult – learned concept
The Parent, Adult, Child (P-A-C) Model
12. 2. The phrase I'm OK, You're OK is one of four
"life positions" that each of us may take. The
four positions are:
a) I'm Not OK, You're OK
b) I'm Not OK, You're Not OK
c) I'm OK, You're Not OK
d) I'm OK, You're OK
13. a) I'm OK and you are not OK. In this
position I feel good about myself but I see
others as damaged or less than and it is
usually not healthy,
b) I'm not OK and you are OK. In this
position the person sees him/herself as the
weak partner in relationships as the others
in life are definitely better than the self.
The person who holds this position will
unconsciously accept abuse as OK.
14. c) I'm not OK and you are not OK. This is the
worst position to be in as it means that I
believe that I am in a terrible state and the
rest of the world is as bad. Consequently
there is no hope for any ultimate supports.
d) I'm OK and you are OK. This is the
healthiest position about life and it means
that I feel good about myself and that I feel
good about others and their competence.
15. Transactional Analysis is method of dealing
with behavioral disorders
Developed by Eric Berne who believed that
the majority of our life experiences are
recorded in our subconscious minds in an
unaltered fashion and become a part of the way
we behave
–The behavior is subconsciously designed to
get reactions and determine how others feel
about us.
16. 3. It is a theory of communication that can be
extended to the analysis of systems and
organisations.
4. It offers a theory for child development by
explaining how our adult patterns of life
originated in childhood. This explanation is
based on the idea of a "Life (or Childhood)
Script": the assumption that we continue to
re-play childhood strategies, even when this
results in pain or defeat. Thus it claims to
offer a theory of psychopathology.
17. 5. In practical application, it can be used in the
diagnosis and treatment of many types of
psychological disorders and provides a
method of therapy for individuals, couples,
families and groups.
6. Outside the therapeutic field, it has been used
in education to help teachers remain in clear
communication at an appropriate level, in
counselling and consultancy, in management
and communications training and by other
bodies.
18. 7. Pain, Boredom, Wanting comes first, Get
help, The power of habit ,Energy and etc.
change the people.
8. How to manage time, how to save time, how
to use time are described in this Novel.
9. How to differ from each other are also
described in this.
10.To manage life many models are given like
P-A-C and marriage ,P-A-C and Children,
P-A-C and Adolescents and etc.
19. 1967 vs. 1969 Publication Date
There is considerable contradictory information
on the internet regarding the publication date
of I’m OK – You’re OK.
Many sources cite 1967 which is incorrect. It
was published in 1969.
This is based upon these facts:
- A 1972 article in the New York Times which
states the publication date of April 1969.
-The Preface in the original first hardcover
edition which Dr. Thomas A. Harris personally
signs is dated June 1968.
20. - There is no way the book could be published
in 1967 if the Preface is dated 1968,
-The original copyright states 1967, 1968, and
1969. Harris began work on I’m OK – You’re
OK in 1967.
This is why it is sometimes confused. But the
publication was 1969.
