The document uses the metaphor of a bank that credits each person with 86,400 seconds (one day) to illustrate that time is the most valuable resource we have. It states that we must invest our time each day to get the most out of life, as we cannot carry unused time over to the next day or draw from the future. The document emphasizes making the most of the present moment and realizing the value of even small increments of time through different examples. It concludes by reminding us to treasure the time we have and share it with friends.
For better or for worse- Technology's impact on educationAbaida Mahmood
The document discusses the changes in education needed for the 21st century due to a new generation of digitally-wired students. It notes their brains develop differently and they process images faster than text. Schools need to reinvent themselves to work with these students and prepare them for future jobs requiring 21st century skills. A challenge is that parents, teachers and policymakers think of education as when they were in school, but it must shift to new paradigms to match today's digital world. The summary highlights the key issues discussed in transforming education for a new generation of learners.

This document discusses problem-based learning and instructional design. It describes a teacher, Somsri, who focuses on lecturing to students and using materials that emphasize information transmission rather than active learning. As a result, students quickly forget content and cannot apply knowledge independently. The document then presents three missions: 1) Analyzing why Somsri's instruction is unsuccessful, 2) Explaining the relationship between teaching design, learning materials, and learning theories, and 3) Discussing how instructional design relates to changing social/educational contexts. It addresses these missions through discussions of learning theories and providing examples of constructivist-based instructional design.

This document discusses home grown female leadership models in Pakistan. It describes a leadership training program undertaken by 7 aspiring women leaders over the course of a year. Through questionnaires, courses, activities and inspiring stories, the women identified their individual leadership styles and traits. They then worked to define an organizational leadership model and formulated a training module to develop succession planning and encourage leadership skills in others. The results showed increased confidence and willingness among the participants to take on new leadership roles and responsibilities. The organization plans to share their leadership training module more broadly to help develop women leaders.
This document discusses learning styles and appropriate learning media for different students. It describes four students - Panadda, Riangchai, Morakot, and Sarirat - and their preferred learning styles. Panadda likes reading books, Riangchai enjoys new challenges and investigations, Morakot learns best after class through technology, and Sarirat understands best from a teacher's lecture. It then outlines teaching materials as tools for teachers to convey knowledge, while learning media promotes self-learning and problem solving. Examples of learning media for each student are provided.

The document discusses the principles of Taoist leadership. It explains that Taoist leaders lead harmoniously with nature by having clarity of mind, keeping things simple, maintaining balance, stooping low to empower followers, and letting go to allow people and nature to take their own course. The most effective Taoist leaders are subtle and inspire followers without followers realizing the leader's influence, like a body of water that powers rivers and seas.

Ikt taikymo bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų sektoriuje analizė 8
1. "IKT taikymo bendrojo lavinimo
mokyklų sektoriuje analizė"
Darbą atliko:
A.Bendaravičiūtė, S.Berginaitė,
J.Kairytė, R. Šemežytė-Zykienė
2. Sektoriaus pasirinkimo
pagrindimas
• Keičiantis švietimo sistemai mokyklos tampa
inovatyvesnės, modernesnės.
• Mokyklų vadovai vis labiau domisi ir taiko
informacines kompiuterines technologijas savo
darbo srityje.
• Ši analizė padės atskleisti, kokias dažniausiai
IKT taiko bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų
sektorius.
3. Problematika
Daugelyje bendrojo lavinimo mokyklų
dirbantys pedagogai yra vyresnio amžiaus, jie
neieško naujovių, kaip kitaip išdėstyti pamoką taiko senuosius metodus: vadovėlis, lenta ir
pratybos. Ne visos mokyklos gauna pakankama
finansavimą pedagogų apmokymui, retas, kuris
eina tobulėti savanoriškai.
5. Komandiniame darbe naudojami
metodai
• Grupinio darbo ir mokymosi metodai:
diskusija, pokalbis, minčių lietus, refleksija.
• IKT naudojamos bendravimui ir sąveikai:
internetas - skype, facebook; mobilusis ryšys.
• IKT naudojamos darbo pateikimui:
Power point, multimedija.
6. Rezultatai
Teorinė analizė atskleidė IKT taikymo mokyklų
sektoriuje privalumus:
•Naudojant IKT pamokų medžiaga pateikiama
kompleksiškai.
•Naudojant skaitmenines knygas ir multimedijos
nuotraukas, vaikai išmoksta daugiau nei iš
knygelių su paveikslėliais, lengviau suvokia
sakinių struktūrą, geriau supranta istorijos turinį.
7. Praktinės analizės rezultatai
• Virtualios aplinkos modeliai naudojami
skirtingoms pamokoms.
• Elektroniniai dienynai.
• Interaktyvi lenta.
• Moodle sistema.
• Mokyklų svetainės.
• Elektroninės knygos.
• Muzikos kūrimo programos.
• Video montavimo programos.
• Piešimo programos.
8. Pastebėjimai
Per vieną darbo su kompiuteriu valandą galima
pateikti ir išmokyti tiek medžiagos, kiek tradiciniu
būdu išmokstama per keturias pamokas.
Atlikti tyrimai atskleidė, kad visose klasėse gali
būti kompiuterizuota beveik 100% visų mokomųjų
temų.
9. Dažniausiai pamokose yra naudojamos tradicinės
informacinės komunikacinės technologijos,
tokios
kaip
personalinis
kompiuteris,
magnetofonas,
kopijavimo
aparatas,
spausdintuvas.
Rečiau pamokose yra naudojamos mokomosios
kompiuterinės programos, skaitmeninis
projektorius,
labai
retai
–
nešiojamas
kompiuteris, interaktyvi lenta.
