Electricity can be dangerous and even deadly if not treated with care and respect. It is able to travel through both air and water, so one should never touch electrical appliances with wet hands or bodies. Additionally, one should avoid overloading sockets, using damaged appliances, climbing utility poles near power lines, and inserting objects into electrical sockets. Proper electrical safety precautions are important to follow.
