IELTS test terms and conditions
You must …
~ provide proof of your identity (passport or national identity card) at
registration. This identity document must contain a number, a signature, a
date of birth and a photograph. You should contact your test centre who will
tell you which type of identity document they accept. Candidates taking the
test outside their own country must produce a passport.
~ provide two recent identical passport-sized photographs on registration.
(See page iv for guidance on photograph requirements.)
~ inform the test centre of any changes to your identity document before the test
date. If you do not do this you will not be allowed to take the test and you will
not be eligible for a refund or transfer
~ bring the same identity document on the test day as the one recorded on
your Application Form. If you do not do this you will not be allowed to take
the test and you will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
~ arrive at the test centre before the scheduled test start time. If you arrive late:
– you will not be admitted to the test room.
– you will not be allowed to take any of the test components.
– you will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.
~ leave personal belongings outside the test room. The following items may
not be taken into the test room: bags, correction fluid, highlighter pens and
electronic devices such as mobile phones, pagers, recorders, mp3 players
and dictionaries. Candidates must ensure that mobile phones and pagers
which are left outside the test room are switched off. Any candidate who
does not switch off their phone or pager, or takes any electronic device into
the test room, will not be allowed to complete the test and will not receive an
IELTS test result or be eligible for a refund or transfer. Candidates must not
bring valuables to the test centre as the test centre cannot be responsible for
these.
~ consent for your identity to be verified either at test registration or on test
day. This may include:
– having your photograph taken.
You will be required to temporarily remove any covering from your face.
Any candidate who refuses to have a photograph taken will not be
permitted to sit the test and will not be entitled to a refund. The
photograph taken by the test centre will appear on your Test Report Form.
– providing a sample of your signature.
– having your finger-scan taken.
~ keep only the following items on your desk: your identity document, pen(s),
pencil(s) and eraser(s).
~ tell the test supervisor or invigilator at once:
– if you think you have not been given the correct question paper.
– if the question paper is incomplete or illegible.
~ raise your hand to attract attention if you are in doubt about what you should
do. An invigilator will come to your assistance. Candidates may not ask for,
and will not be given, any explanation of the test questions.
~ inform the test supervisor or invigilator on the day of the test, if you believe
that your performance may be affected by ill health, by the way in which
the test is delivered at the centre or for any other reason. If you have a
complaint relating to the delivery of the test, you must submit your complaint
to the test centre before you leave the centre on test day. The IELTS Test
Partners will not accept complaints relating to the delivery of the test after
test day.
~ when leaving the test room at the end of the test, leave behind all test
materials. The test materials include, but are not limited to, question papers,
Speaking tasks, answer sheets/booklets and any paper used for rough work.
Any candidate who attempts to remove test materials from the test room will
be disqualified and will not receive an IELTS test result.
You must not …
~ talk to or disturb other candidates once the test has started.
~ lend anything to, or borrow anything from, another candidate during the test.
~ eat or smoke in the test room.
~ leave the test room without the permission of the test supervisor or
invigilator.
~ leave your seat until all test materials have been collected and you have
been told you can leave.
~ engage in any form of malpractice which may damage the integrity and
security of the IELTS test. Malpractice includes, but is not limited to:
– attempting to cheat in any way.
– impersonating another candidate or having another person
impersonate you.
– copying the work of another candidate.
– disrupting the test in any way.
– reproducing any part of the test in any medium.
– attempting to alter the data on the Test Report Form.
Candidates engaging in malpractice will not be allowed to complete the
test and will not receive an IELTS test result. Candidates who are found to
have engaged in malpractice on test day after their result has been issued
will have their result cancelled. Candidates engaging in malpractice may be
liable to legal action.
Your IELTS test result
~ Results are issued by test centres, usually 13 days after the test.
~ You will receive only one copy of your Test Report Form. The test centre is
not permitted to issue a replacement copy in the event of loss or damage.
~ The Test Report Form will be issued in your name as it appears on the identity
document used at registration. If you find that your personal details are
incorrect on the Test Report Form, please contact the centre where you took
the test to request changes. Documentation must be provided to verify the
correct details. If the centre is unable to assist with your request for a change
to your personal details please contact either IDP (ielts@idp.com) or British
Council (ielts@britishcouncil.org) for further advice.
~ If you change your name after receiving your Test Report Form, the name
will not be changed on the Test Report Form. In the unusual event that
a replacement Test Report Form is approved centrally by the IELTS Test
Partners, it will be issued with the name provided on the original Test Report
Form.
~ Your result may not be issued 13 days after the test if any of the IELTS Test
Partners deem it necessary to review any matter associated with your test.
In exceptional circumstances you may be required to re-take one or more
IELTS components.
~ The Test Report Form may be cancelled after it has been issued if any
irregularity is identified. You may be required to re-take one or more IELTS
components.
~ Your result will be disclosed by the IELTS Test Partners to the Recognising
Organisations which you nominated on your Application Form, for the
purpose of allowing those organisations to verify the result or to carry out
any enquiries in relation to suspected malpractice.
~ If any of the data on the Test Report Form provided by you or your agent to
Recognising Organisations has been altered in any way, your original test
result may be cancelled by the IELTS Test Partners.
~ You will not be permitted access to the work you produce in the IELTS test.
The IELTS Test Partners will retain the work you produce to assess your test
performance, and it may be used for quality control purposes and research
activities.
Cancelling your IELTS test or requesting a transfer
~ If you cancel your test or request a transfer five weeks or more before the
test date, the test centre will charge an administration fee of up to 25% of
the total test fee.
~ If you cancel your test within five weeks of the test date for any reason apart
from medical ones, you will not be eligible to receive a refund. If you cancel
your test or request a transfer within five weeks of the test date for medical
reasons, you must provide supporting medical evidence within five working
days of the test date. Only evidence of serious illness will be considered.
Only original medical certificates will be accepted and must state inability to
appear for the test on the scheduled test date.
How IELTS uses your information
~ The IELTS Test Partners recognise and support the right of genuine IELTS
test candidates to privacy.
~ Test Report Forms will only be sent to those Recognising Organisations
nominated by the IELTS candidate on their Application Form or at the
request of the candidate after the issue of results.
~ The IELTS Test Partners or their authorised representatives may share
candidate personal data including without limitation test performance or
score data or photographs taken by the IELTS test centre with educational
institutions, governments (including visa processing authorities), professional
bodies and commercial organisations that recognise IELTS scores
(‘Recognising Organisations’) or law enforcement agencies and appropriate
regulatory authorities where required for verification purposes or other
purposes to protect the IELTS test and its stakeholders against any form of
malpractice. Finger-scan data, where obtained, will not be disclosed to any
entity except the IELTS Test Partners.

These are laid out in the Notice to Candidates and Declaration which are included in the application form. When you sign the application form declaration, or agree to the terms online, you are confirming that you have read and understood the IELTS rules and regulations and agree to abide by them. Register as soon as possible When you feel you are ready to take the test, you need to register for a test date with an IELTS centre. Contact the centre as soon as possible, as the number of test takers who can take the test on a particular date may be limited. You will need to pay the test fee when you register. Tell your centre if you have special requirements In order to ensure that the language ability of all test takers is assessed fairly and objectively, IELTS provides a comprehensive service for test takers who have special requirements, including specific learning difficulties, hearing difficulties and visual difficulties. If you require a modified version of the test, for example a Large Print or Braille version, you must give the test centre three months’ notice. This notice period is necessary for the modified test version to be prepared. If your circumstances require special administrative arrangements to be made, for example if you need extra time or you need to use access technology such as a screen reader, you must give the test centre six weeks’ notice. Please contact your test centre to discuss your requirements. Any special arrangements agreed are in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ). Listening Speaking Academic Reading Academic Writing General Training Reading General Training Writing There are two modules to choose from – Academic and General Training. IELTS Academic IELTS Academic is for test takers wishing to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, and for those seeking professional registration. IELTS General Training IELTS General Training is for test takers wishing to migrate to an English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK), and for those wishing to train or study at below degree level. Each organisation sets its own entry requirements. In some cases both Academic or General Training may be accepted. If you are in doubt as to which to take, you should contact the organisation you are applying to in order to check their requirements. You are tested on all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking, unless you have an exemption due to a disability (see section on special requirements). Everyone takes the same Listening and Speaking tests. There are different Reading and Writing tests for IELTS Academic and General Training. The Listening, Reading and Writing tests must be completed on the same day. The order in which these tests are taken may vary. There are no breaks between these three tests. The Speaking test may be taken up to seven days before or after the other three tests. Preparing for your test Test format

Texts are appropriate to, and accessible to, test takers entering undergraduate or postgraduate courses or seeking professional registration. Texts range from the descriptive and factual to the discursive and analytical. Texts may contain non-verbal materials such as diagrams, graphs or illustrations. If texts contain technical terms, then a simple glossary is provided. General Training Reading Section 1 contains two or three short factual texts, one of which may be composite (consisting of 6-8 short texts related by topic, e.g. hotel advertisements). Topics are relevant to everyday life in an English-speaking country. Section 2 contains two short factual texts focusing on work- related issues (e.g. applying for jobs, company policies, pay and conditions, workplace facilities, staff development and training). Section 3 contains one longer, more complex text on a topic of general interest. Texts are authentic and are taken from notices, advertisements, company handbooks, official documents, books, magazines and newspapers. - 22. 5 Writing Timing 60 minutes Tasks There are2 tasks. You are required to write at least 150 words for Task 1 and at least 250 words for Task 2. Test Parts There are 2 parts. Academic Writing In Task 1, you are presented with a graph, table, chart or diagram and are asked to describe, summarise or explain the information in your own words. You may be asked to describe and explain data, describe the stages of a process, how something works or describe an object or event. In Task 2, you are asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem. The issues raised are of general interest to, suitable for and easily understood by test takers entering undergraduate or postgraduate studies or seeking professional registration. Responses to Task 1 and Task 2 should be written in an academic, semi-formal/neutral style. General Training Writing In Task 1, you are presented with a situation and are asked to write a letter requesting information or explaining the situation. The letter may be personal or semi-formal/neutral in style. In Task 2, you are asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem. The essay can be slightly more personal in style than the Academic Writing Task 2 essay. Topics are of general interest. Skills assessed In both tasks, you are assessed on your ability to write a response which is appropriate in terms of: • content • the organisation of ideas • the accuracy and range of vocabulary and grammar. Academic Writing In Task 1, depending on the task type, you are assessed on your ability to organise, present and possibly compare data; to describe the stages of a process or procedure; to describe an object or event or sequence of events; to explain how something works. In Task 2, depending on the task type, you are assessed on your ability to present a solution to a problem; to present and justify an opinion; to compare and contrast evidence, opinions and implications; to evaluate and challenge ideas, evidence or an argument. General Training Writing In Task 1, depending on the task type, you are assessed on your ability to engage in personal correspondence in order to: elicit and provide general factual information; express needs, wants, likes and dislikes; express opinions (views, complaints etc.). In Task 2, you are assessed on your ability to provide general factual information; to outline a problem and present a solution; to present and possibly justify an opinion; to evaluate and challenge ideas, evidence or an argument. Marking You are assessed on your performance on each task by certificated IELTS examiners according to the IELTS Writing test assessment criteria (Task Achievement/Response, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy). The public version of the assessment criteria can be found at www.ielts.org/criteria. Task 2 contributes twice as much as Task 1 to the Writing score. Scores are reported in whole and half bands. Speaking Timing 11-14 minutes Test Parts There are 3 parts. Part 1 Introduction and interview (4-5 minutes) The examiner introduces him/herself and asks you to introduce yourself and confirm your identity. The examiner asks you general questions on familiar topics, e.g. home, family, work, studies and interests. Part 2 Individual long turn (3-4 minutes) The examiner gives you a task card which asks you to talk about a particular topic and which includes points you can cover in your talk. You are given 1 minute to prepare your talk, and are given a pencil and paper to make notes. You talk for 1-2 minutes on the topic. The examiner may then ask you one or two questions on the same topic. Part 3 Two-way discussion (4-5 minutes) The examiner asks further questions which are connected to the topic of Part 2. These questions give you an opportunity to discuss more abstract issues and ideas. Skills assessed A wide range of speaking skills are assessed, including: • the ability to communicate opinions and information on everyday topics and common experiences and situations by answering a range of questions • the ability to speak at length on a given topic using appropriate language and organising ideas coherently • the ability to express and justify opinions and to analyse, discuss and speculate about issues. Marking You are assessed on your performance throughout the test by certificated IELTS examiners according to the IELTS Speaking test assessment criteria (Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, Pronunciation). - 23. 6 Listening • Each recordingin the Listening test is heard once only. • You will be given time to read through the questions before you listen. • As you listen, write your answers on the question paper. At the end of the test, you will have 10 minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet. It is essential that you transfer your answers to the answer sheet as nothing you write on the question paper will be marked. • You must write your answers in pencil. • An example of a completed Listening answer sheet is given on the next page. • ‘Completion’ question types (e.g. note completion): – Pay attention to the word limit. For example, if you are asked to complete a sentence using NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS, and the correct answer is ‘leather coat’, the answer ‘coat made of leather’ would be incorrect. – Transfer only the missing word(s) to the answer sheet. For example, if you have to complete the note ‘in the … ’, and the correct answer is ‘morning’, the answer ‘in the morning’ would be incorrect. – You will hear the word(s) you need to use in the recording. You will not need to change the form of the word(s) you hear. – Pay attention to spelling and grammar: you will lose marks for mistakes. – You may write your answers in lower case or in capitals. Reading • You may write your answers directly on the answer sheet or you may write them on the question paper and transfer them to the answer sheet before the end of the test. You will not be given extra time to transfer answers at the end of the test. Nothing you write on the question paper will be marked. • You must write your answers in pencil. • An example of a completed Reading answer sheet is given on the next page. • ‘Completion’ question types (e.g. note completion): – The same rules apply to ‘completion’ question types as in Listening (see above). – The word(s) you use must be taken from the Reading text. You will not need to change the form of the word(s) in the text. Writing • You may write your answers in pencil or pen. • Pay attention to the number of words required for each task. You will lose marks if you do not write at least 150 words for Task 1 and at least 250 words for Task 2. • You should spend approximately 20 minutes on Task 1 and approximately 40 minutes on Task 2. • You must write your answers in full; answers written in note form or in bullet points will lose marks. • Pay attention to spelling, grammar and punctuation; you will lose marks for mistakes. • You may write your answers entirely in capitals if you wish. • You may make notes on the question paper but nothing you write on the question paper will be marked. Test tips The Test Report Form You will receive a Test Report Form which reports a score for each of the four skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking), as well as an overall band score. Half band scores may be awarded to indicate a strong performance within a particular band. You can find more information on score processing and score interpretation at www.ielts.org/criteria. Results will be available 13 days after the test. At some test centres test takers can collect their results on the 13th day. At other test centres results are mailed to test takers on the 13th day. Test centres are not permitted to give results out over the phone or by scan or email. You will receive only one copy of the Test Report Form. It’s important that you keep it safe as replacement Test Report Forms cannot be issued. Test centres will send copies of your Test Report Form to up to five organisations free of charge. Test results Preview your results online You can preview your results online 13 days after the test. Results remain online for 28 days. Please note that the online preview of results should not be used as an official confirmation of your performance. Results validity period Organisations will not usually accept a Test Report Form that is more than two years old unless you provide evidence that you have actively maintained or tried to improve your English since taking the test. The IELTS Test Partners cannot confirm the validity of test results that are more than two years old. Re-taking IELTS There are no restrictions on re-taking IELTS. You can register for a test as soon as you feel you are ready to do so. Please note that your score is unlikely to increase unless you make a significant effort to improve your English before re-taking the test. More information is available from www.ielts.org/resitting. Enquiries on results If you are unhappy with your test result, you can apply for a re-mark (Enquiry on Results) at the centre where you took the test. You must make the application no later than six weeks after the test date. You can choose which test components are re-marked. There is a fee for this service which will be refunded if your score on any component is increased. Enquiries on Results take six to eight weeks to complete. A copy of the Terms Conditions must be given to the candidate when completing the application form. It is important that the candidate reads and fully understands the applicable test related rules regulations given hereunder; 1. Test Partners: The IELTS test is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge English Language Assessment, who are referred to as the Test Partners”. 2. Test Centre: This refers to the IELTS Test Centre “IDP Education India Private Ltd. with Centre No. IN855, also referred as the The Centre. 3. Eligible Age: IELTS is made available worldwide to all persons, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality or religion but it is not recommended to persons under 16 years of age. 4. No Passport, No Test Policy: All candidates must bring their original valid passport, a copy of which was submitted with the application, to the speaking test and listening, reading and writing test. If the candidate does not bring their original passport on the test day; they will be refused entry to the test. 5. Arrangements for Special Needs Candidates: The Test Partners/Test Centre will endeavor to accommodate any candidate with special needs (such as visual difficulties, hearing difficulties, specific learning difficulties i.e. dyslexia) of an applicant as requested and as per the details provided in the application form. Such requests must be supported by medical evidence. However, in certain circumstances, the requirements may require five (5) weeks’ notice. It is therefore recommended, that the candidate discusses with the test centre, such requirements prior to submitting the application form. The test partners and the test centre will do their best to accommodate individual arrangements, but do not guarantee fulfillment of such requests at all times. 6. IELTS Test Application Form Information: Only a fully completed IELTS application form will be considered. Incomplete applications may be rejected. The details on the application form are collected for the purposes of the IELTS test and these details may be disclosed to, processed and stored by the test partners and the test centre for the purpose of administration. These details and the examination results may be disclosed by the test partners to those academic institutions or other entities to whom the applicant submits an enrolment application, for the purpose of allowing such institutions or entities to verify the results of the test. If the test partners discover that a false or altered Test Report Form (TRF) has been provided to any of these institutions or entities, the test partners may inform the same and provide them with the applicant's personal details. The personal details of the applicant may be processed in an anonymous form for statistical and research purposes by the Test Partners and / or the test centre. 7. Test Booking: The IELTS test application forms will be accepted by the test centre on a first-come-first serve basis. Test seats are limited and the registration will close for a particular test when all seats are booked or as decided by the centre. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on all candidates.

However, it is recommended that if a candidate is unsure of which test module to take, then they refer to the organisation to which they are applying. Changing the test module type will be at the discretion of the test centre, subject to the receipt of an application in writing to the test centre. A minimum of five (5) weeks prior to the test date is desirable and the offer of a test place is dependent on availability. 9. Test Fee: The applicable test fee is INR 13,250 (Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty only) (inclusive of all taxes) is applicable. The fee is subject to change, as per the decision of the centre and will be final and binding on all candidates. 10. Payment: All payments, for the test fee, transfers (i.e. postponement) must be made using the following payment options: i. Demand Draft / Pay Order “the Demand Draft / Pay Order must be made from a nationalized/scheduled bank and drawn in favour of “IDP Education India Private Limited payable at New Delhi. ii. HDFC ICICI cash deposit slips iii.Debit Credit cards iv.Net banking v. Card swipe facility available at all IDP branch offices across India IMPORTANT: Please include your name, passport number, test-date and test-location on the reverse of the Demand Draft. Payment in cash will only be accepted at all branches of ICICI HDFC branches. Cheque payment is not accepted. Do not pay cash to anyone. If the candidate pays cash to anybody, or pays by Demand Draft drawn in another name, he/she do so at their own risk and the Test Partners and/or the centre will not be responsible for the same. - 28. PR O UDC O -O W NER OF IELTS August 2018 11. Passport / Identification Document (ID): An original valid passport is currently treated as the only accepted proof of identification. A passport which is valid as on the date of applying but expires before or on the day of the test will not be treated as an original valid passport and the candidate will not be permitted to sit the test. The candidate will be treated as a no show and no refund will be applicable in such case. The application form must be accompanied by a clear photocopy of the photo page of the passport (first and last page), without which the application will be treated incomplete and the candidate will not be registered. If a candidate fills and submits the application form to the centre, without submitting a passport copy, and receives an automated acknowledgement, even then, the candidate will not be registered unless he/she submits the copy of the passport at least fourteen (14) days prior to the test date. In case of applications submitted online, it is mandatory for the candidate to provide a clear copy of the passport at least fourteen (14) days before the test date of Listening/Reading/Writing Test or the Speaking Test whichever is earlier. Failing which, the candidate will not be permitted to sit the test. The candidate will be treated as a no show and no refund will be applicable in such case. Allotment of Test Date: Test dates will be allotted based on the choices provided by the applicant in his/her application form or as selected while completing the online registration. However, in case both dates are not available the candidate will be notified of the next available date, which if acceptable to the candidate will be allotted or the application will be returned to the candidate, if requested. The centre may alter or cancel test dates at its sole discretion; in the absence of a minimum number of candidates on a test date or due to any logistic/operational issues. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the applicant. 14. Information provided by the Applicant: The applicant takes full responsibility for the correctness of the information provided in the application form. Any information found to be incorrect at any stage will automatically lead to cancellation of the test and the test result and fee paid for such test will be forfeited. 15. Speaking Test: The Speaking Test will be conducted as per a speaking test schedule. The test may be conducted on the same day or anytime during seven (7) days prior to or seven (7) days after the test date of Listening/Reading/Writing Test. We will send the notification about the venue and the time of speaking test no later than ( 2) two days from the scheduled speaking test or Listening/Reading/Writing test, whichever is earlier. 16. Request for Transfer of Test Date: A request for a transfer of a test date (i.e. postponement or pre-ponement) to another date will be considered as per the Test Date Transfer Cancellation Policy, in effect at the time of such request. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the applicant.

Request for Withdrawal / Cancellation: All applications for withdrawal/cancellation will be considered as per the Test Date Transfer Cancellation Policy, in effect at the time of such request and as modified from time to time. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the applicant. 18. No Show / Absent on Test Day: In cases of an applicant failing to appear on the test date, his/her application will be treated as cancelled, and the candidate will lose their full test fee and no refund will be possible unless medical evidence is provided. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the applicant. 19. Malpractice: The centre will strictly deal with any malpractice(s) adopted by the applicant, including impersonation, tampering/adjusting the seating plan with malpractice in mind, copying, collusion, disrupting the test in any manner, removing, copying or attempting to remove from the examination room or copy any test material, doing anything that might in any manner damage the integrity and security of the IELTS Test etc., as per guidelines of the Test Partners and the local law of the land. The examination of such candidates will be cancelled and the candidate will be disqualified. The candidate could also be liable to prosecution and may be prohibited from taking an IELTS test in the future, as per the decision of the centre and law of the land, which will be binding on the candidate. 20. Reporting Malpractice / Fraud: The candidate understands that the test fee is currently INR 13,250 (Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty only) (inclusive of all taxes) is applicable. The candidate also understands and agrees that he/she must not pay to anyone, any more fees on account of the test. The candidate also understands and agrees that the candidate has not indulged in or has no intention of indulging in any form of malpractice, such as using an imposter to sit the test on the candidate's behalf, submitting forged documents including the passport or using any other unlawful means including bribery or payment for any undue favors from anyone. The candidate also agrees that if found guilty, the candidate's results will not be released and the test cancelled. There will be no refund to the candidate. The candidate also understands and agrees that such matters may be reported to the government and law enforcing agencies and necessary action under the law may be initiated against any candidate found to be involved in any such acts. The candidate agrees to immediately inform the IELTS Ethics Officer via email at ielts.india@idp.com if the candidate is approached by anyone offering fraudulent services or similar offering in lieu of getting desired scores. All information will be dealt in the strictest confidence. 21. Complaints: If you want to make a complaint on the day of the test, you must do so before you leave the test venue. Once the writing test is finished, before leaving the hall, go to the authorised IELTS staff and ask for a complaint form to be completed before leaving the test venue and handed over to the IELTS Staff. 22. Result Validity: The test results are valid for 2 years from the date of test. 23. Result Communication: The results would be communicated to the applicant within a stipulated time period, as fixed by the Test Partners. TRFs will only be delivered to the address specified by the applicant in the S. No. 5 of the application form. The Centre may at its discretion make available the test scores on the website https://www.ieltsidpindia.com communicate the same through SMS. However, the candidate understands and agrees, that scores communicated over the website or over SMS will be provisional / indicative and must not be treated as final scores or used for any formal, official or verification purposes until the original TRF is received by the candidate. The TRF as issued by the test centre is and will be the correct, official and authentic IELTS test scores.

Enquiry on Results (EOR) / Remark: An applicant may apply for an Enquiry on Result (EOR) /Remark of their test results, using an Enquiry on Results Application Form. An application for such a request must be forwarded to the centre within six (6) weeks of the test date on the TRF. The fee applicable for re-mark is INR 9,500 (Nine Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty only) (inclusive of all taxes) is applicable. All payments, for the Enquiry on Results (EOR) must be made using the following payment options: i. Demand Draft / Pay Order “the Demand Draft / Pay Order must be made from a nationalized/scheduled bank (refer annexure at the end) and drawn in favour of “IDP Education India Private Limited payable at New Delhi. ii. HDFC ICICI cash deposit slips iii.Debit Credit cards iv.Net banking v. Card swipe facility available at all IDP branch offices across India There is no guarantee of the band score improving, as a result of re-marking. However, should the band score of the candidate increase, the re-remarking fee paid by the candidate will be refunded in full. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the applicant and no further enquiries will be considered once the remarking process has been completed. 25. Request for issue of Additional Test Report Form ‘TRF’: A candidate may request additional TRFs to be sent directly to institutions that may require these for various purposes. Such requests must be made by the candidate using an Additional TRF Application Form, which is available at the test centre. There is no charge for issuing additional TRFs. However, an administrative fee will have to be paid by the candidate, which will depend upon the mode of dispatch. For dispatches using Registered Post an administrative fee of INR 400 (Four Hundred and only) per TRF and for a dispatch by courier an administrative fee of INR 1,500 (One Thousand Five Hundred only, per TRF will be payable. The administrative fee must accompany the request form by way of Demand Draft, drawn in favour of “IDP Education India Private Limited, payable at New Delhi. The additional TRF will not be sent to the candidate or to any body, institution, organisation other than those that are recognized by IELTS, as per the approved list of the Test Partners. 26. Receipt of Notice to IELTS Candidates: The applicant confirms that he/she has received the Notice to Candidates brochure, which is available with the application form, and the IELTS test application form Terms Conditions provided by the centre. The receipt of such notice will be deemed to have understood and agreed to by the candidate. 27. Test Terms and Conditions: Once an application is submitted, it will be assumed that the applicant has read and understood all the terms and conditions herein. The terms and conditions can be modified and/or changed as deemed fit, by the centre, without giving prior notice. Such modified terms and conditions, once communicated to the applicant, will be applicable and binding on the applicant.

Errors Omissions: The Test Partners and the test centre, will take full care that the test procedures, administering of the test and declaring of results are handled as per the guidelines of the Test Partners and in the most professional manner and that, no errors or omissions are committed. However, in case any errors or omissions are reported/brought to the notice by the applicant, the same will be taken up and necessary action/remedial measures will be taken. The decision of the centre in such cases will be final and binding on the applicant. No claims or compensations of any nature will be considered. The application must be supported by adequate and required supporting documents / evidence, without which the application will not be considered. The decision of the centre will be final and binding on the candidate. 29. Request for Transfer of Test Date: A request using the Test Date Transfer Cancellation Form for transferring of a test date (i.e. postponement or pre-ponement) to another date must reach the centre atleast five (5) weeks prior to the original test date. The allocation of the next test date will be at the sole discretion of the centre and subject to availability. An administrative charge will be applicable respectively for the IELTS test is INR 3,300 (Three Thousand Three Hundred only) (inclusive of all taxes). All payments, for the test fee, transfers (i.e. postponement) must be made using the following payment options: i. Demand Draft / Pay Order “the Demand Draft / Pay Order must be made from a nationalized/scheduled bank and drawn in favour of “IDP Education India Private Limited payable at New Delhi. ii. HDFC ICICI cash deposit slips iii.Debit Credit cards iv.Net banking vi.Card swipe facility available at all IDP branch offices across India No requests will be accepted after the cut-off period i.e. Less than five (5) weeks prior to the test date. 30. Request for Cancellation / Withdrawal: All applications for withdrawal, cancellation and refund must be sent to the centre using the Transfer Cancellation Form along with the original receipt of payment of the test fee. An administrative charge will be applicable respectively for IELTS test is INR 3,300 (Three Thousand Three Hundred only) (inclusive of all taxes).If the application for such withdrawal is received five (5) weeks (i.e., 34 days) prior to the test date, the balance for the IELTS test INR 9,950 (Nine Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty only) (inclusive of all taxes) will be refunded to the applicant within four (4) weeks from the test date for which the candidate was registered. Requests received, less than five (5) weeks (i.e. 34 days) prior to the test date will not be accepted and no refund will be applicable. 31.
