Professionally, building structures has helped them develop teamwork skills when working with people from different cultures on projects. Greg Groom was interviewed about his career in architecture. He discussed how he got into the field working for his father's firm at a young age. He took over the firm, Brierley Groom, with his brother after their father passed away. The firm has won design awards and operates out of York, England. Greg finds architecture rewarding as people can admire his work, and enjoys designing spaces for clients to enjoy with their families. His proudest project is a lifeboat station in Scarborough.
Harry Groom was also interviewed. He is currently studying architecture at university. Growing up around his father's architecture business interested him in the field. He hopes to take over the family firm one day.

A presentation I am giving to my staff to share out two ideas of HOW. When developing projects many educators spin their wheels on what. We need to focus on HOW. I provide two ways by looking at Common Core and location of project.
Reformation
Martin Luther's nailing of his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg in 1517 is seen as sparking the Protestant Reformation. The document outlines several issues with the Catholic Church that paved the way for reform, including corruption such as the selling of indulgences, as well as political conflicts between popes and kings that undermined the Church's authority. Luther's spreading of his teachings through writings helped grow the new Protestant movement against Catholic doctrine and power of the papacy. The Reformation transformed Christianity in Europe.
The enlightenment overiew
The Enlightenment thinkers believed that reason could be used to solve social, political, and economic problems. They advocated for limited government based on separation of powers to protect individual liberties. Major thinkers included Locke, who believed people form governments to protect natural rights like life, liberty, and property. Montesquieu advocated for separation of powers among branches of government. Physiocrats rejected mercantilism in favor of laissez faire economic policies with little government interference. Adam Smith supported free markets regulated by supply and demand.

Through this process, Hayden confirmed his interest in pursuing architecture in college after joining the Air Force reserves.

Kyle Wild was invited to give a guest lecture at UC Berkeley on innovation. In his lecture, he discusses two common approaches to innovation - Design Thinking and Lean Startup. However, he is skeptical that any process can perfectly teach innovation. Wild argues that organizations should let their innovation processes emerge from their unique team identities rather than trying to force-fit an outside process. Ultimately, he concludes there is no set syllabus for innovation and advises erring on the side of too much chaos rather than too much structure.

From my experience, in a typical mind mapping session, usually many ideas are developed, some innovative, perhaps, but rarely “Radical.” I wanted to change that paradigm from an idea, which could make a difference to blowing the doors off the walls.

They created word clouds, collages and 3D models to describe spaces and perceptions. Students met with leaders to discuss ideas for improving the school, including wider corridors, breakout rooms, and better technology access. They learned skills like collaboration, problem solving, and presenting their ideas to adults.

Melyse Ramnathsingh is a 17-year-old student who enjoys playing video games, basketball, handball, drawing, and singing. She has experience in coding, web design, and taking computers apart through her involvement in a tech group called MOUSE Squad. Her skills include creative thinking, leadership, and basic HTML. Some of her best works include a personal website about being a gamer and overcoming obstacles, and helping to design the MOUSE Squad website. She has also worked with Google Creative Labs and helped organize a video game tournament to raise money for new technology.
