The Most
Practical Idea
Open a Job Fair
Open a job fair
The most basic and practical idea that first
pop up in my mind is to open a job fair. The first
reason why it is considered practical is that such
event has been organized every year but not at a
grand scale. We just need to put more effort to
content design and PR. Second, it requires only a
week or even few days to run successful events.
Thirdly, all kinds of information regarding jobs – job
posters, interviews, video clips - can be crammed
in just one annual event. Students can of course
learn a lot from this just by attending the event.
The Most
Disruptive Idea
Dream Generator
Dream Generator
If money wasn’t a problems, the most
disruptive option I can think of should be a dream
generator. First reason why it is so full of impact is
that people could actually feel how it is like to work
as this or that position. Second, we can cut down
waste occurred when people enter some jobs and
leave right away just to see if it suits me or not.
Lastly, the time frame in dream can be complex.
We can even learn to work several jobs in one
night! That invention would be a revolution to
graduate-to-work challenge.
My Favorite Idea
Job dictionary
Job Dictionary
Despite the attraction of the two prior ideas, I
personally love my idea of job dictionary. First, it
would be very comprehensive. Users can look up for
any job data they like or choose to study each job in
details whenever they like. Second, you can compile
as many information as you would love into it – job
description, average salary, qualification, interviews
from expert, career path, etc. Plus, by using
interactive platform such as mobile apps, you can
add or update any information real-time. Third, this
idea is quite practical if you really give it a try, and
can be developed further and further into some
online platform which reaches people around the
world. It thrills me already just imagining people enjoy
using this Job Dictionary to improve their working life!
