Facts 
 1857 revolt was the first organized struggle against British. 
 The British followed the policy which questions the religious sentiments of Indians.
 In order to increase the armament strength, Enfield rifles were introduced by the British. It wounded 
the religious faith of Indians. 
 The revolt began in 1857, May 10 at Meerut. 
 The first martyr of the revolt was Mangal Pandey. 
 Mangal Pandey was shot and hanged on March 29, 1857. 
 In Bihar, the revolt was led by Kunwar Sing. 
Concept 
With the revolt of 1857, Indians got courage to fight with the British. 
Pre-requisites 
Pupil know about British and their practices towards Indians.

From the answers of pupils , the teacher enters the topic 1857 
Revolt.

Teacher shows the picture of Mangal Pandey. Teacher describes that 
the revolt was began in 1857. Then teacher shows the video of war 
(film- Mangal Pandey). Then asks students what happened to Mangal
