  Informal learning is contextually situated

P     is for personal or personalized     "technology literacy training should be as uniquely individual as is the constituent faculty"  (Georgina and Olsen, 2008)        
L    is for learning     Knowledge building is collaborative creation of public knowledge  (Scardamalia, 1993)   Situated learning in a community of practice  (Lave & Wenger, 1999)    
N    is for network     The internet expands and develops existing social networks.  (Castells, 1999)   Online networks are more successful when  connected to traditional networks.  (Schlager and Fusco 2003)
