Rather than giving out information about the eruption, let's get our students to think about the eruption!
Once again, any feedback or comment is very helpful.

Innovation is a popular word for management. And they are right : today in the age of information, it is mandatory for all companies to bet on innovation if they want to survive. But in order to manage a so big change, it is vital to be fully engaged to this transformation.

Don’t do this; don’t do that! Yes, there are a number of “don’ts” connected with good presentations. If you keep these “don’ts” in mind, beyond any doubt your presentation is going to improve. Good luck.

Screw You Bullet Points! [Rest in Peace]Ayman Sadiq
Even when you are preparing a slide and filling it with bullet-points, you know you are being a lazy-ass. Because, let’s face it, there’s just so much more that you could use in lieu of a ton of bullet points (I mean literally ‘a ton’, they’re all over the place!). Half of the audience won’t even be listening to what you have got to say and will simply read the points (completely ignoring your words in the process). If you don’t want your audience to tune out of your presentation and label you as ‘BORING’, play around a bit with cool info-graphics, icons and illustrations and make them go: ‘Whoa!’
Every single organization on the planet, even our own careers, always function on three levels. What we do, How we do it and Why we do it.
When all those pieces are aligned, it gives us a filter through which to make decisions. It provides a foundation for innovation. When all three pieces are in balance, others will say, with absolute clarity and certainty,
“We know who you are,” “We know what you stand for.”
Whether they realize it or not, all great and inspiring leaders and organizations think, act and communicate just like each other…and it’s the complete opposite from everyone else.
Facebook recently launched the Open Graph API, a bundle of plugins that defines social relationships between objects (movies, music and activities) and the Facebook user profile. Finally, the semantic web becomes mainstream. How open is the Open Graph API? What are the alternatives? What are the implications for privacy and what new, innovative services enabled by semantic metadata web linking will become possible.

A great resource to encourage Geographers to look at, & analyse their world from a different perspective.
Any feedback, as always, is really useful.
Thanks, Simon.

Simon
Another great resource redesigned for maximum impact on any device or big screen. As always, I've provided you with the paint, now you create the picture!

This is a call to all Geographers to introduce a Visual Literacy to their teaching & learning. My inspiration comes from the many great Geographers out there, & from the many great designers out there, especially those who created the fantastic sleeves for 'Blue note' jazz records. Stick it on your iPad, have a play around with it & see how good it is!
A sample of the resources I have been busy creating this year. Feel free to use & adapt them. Pay it back with a tweet if you do, please! As always, any feedback is really useful. Thanks Simon
A short revision resource for Geographers everywhere. It's inspired by the old Blue Note jazz album covers. Once again, any feedback would be really really useful.
Thanks
Simon
