EnBW(Germany) sells interests in Hungary
EnBW is selling its stakes in the two Hungarian electricity supply
companies ELMÜ and EMASZ and consequently withdrawing from the
Hungarian market. The buyer is a subsidiary of E.ON, which had already
indirectly obtained majority shareholdings in ELMÜ and EMASZ in the
recently completed acquisition of Innogy. The sale of its approximately 27
percent interest in the two electricity providers ELMÜ and EMASZ brings
EnBW’s involvement in Hungary to an end. EnBW already sold its stake in
the Matra lignite-fired power plant to a Hungarian investor in
2018.Budapesti Elektromos Művek Nyrt. (ELMÜ) and
Észak-magyarországi Áramszolgáltató Nyrt. (EMASZ) are publicly listed
electricity providers headquartered in Budapest. ELMÜ and EMASZ have
a workforce of around 2,700 and serve some 2.1 million customers in
Budapest and north-eastern Hungary, which represents about 30 percent of
the market. Their main business areas are the sale and distribution of
electricity and gas and operation of their electricity grids.
Executive Commentary
“The two minority shareholdings have done very well since our entry
into the Hungarian market around 25 years ago. But the new ownership
structure means that their strategic importance for us has declined and
we are now making use of the opportunity to withdraw from the market
on financially attractive terms, explained CFO. The disposal is also in
line with the divestment targets under our 2020 Strategy and the related
portfolio transformation.”

Dominion Energy (USA) Acquires Two Solar Projects in Virginia
Dominion Generation, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Dominion Energy,
Inc., announced that it has acquired two solar generating projects from Savion
LLC, a subsidiary of Macquarie's Green Investment Group. The facilities are
expected to be operational in 2020. Power generated at the two sites, as well as
the renewable energy credits, will go to telecommunications company
T-Mobile USA, Inc., under long-term contracts. Since Dominion Energy said
in 2018 that it would initiate a program to add 3,000 megawatts of solar and
wind generation to the electric grid in Virginia by the end of 2022, the
company has announced plans or power purchase agreements for about 675
megawatts of such energy – or 20 percent of its goal. Three-thousand
megawatts of electric generating capacity can serve at least 750,000 customers
when the facilities are producing energy. The company has also announced a
target to reduce carbon emissions from its power generating facilities 80
percent between 2005 and 2050. As of the end of 2018, Dominion Energy was
already more than halfway to meeting that target. The 15-megawatt Myrtle
Solar project, located on about 120 acres in the City of Suffolk, is expected to
enter service in the second quarter of 2020. The 80-megawatt Greensville
Solar facility, occupying more than 1,000 acres near Emporia, Va., in
Greensville County, is targeted to come online in late 2020.
Executive Commentary
"We are proud to partner with T-Mobile to provide clean energy for its
operations across the company," said Executive vice president and
president and chief executive officer of Dominion Energy's Power
Generation Group. "Cleaner energy on the grid benefits everyone, and
we're looking to find similar customer solutions in the states where we do
business."

PSEG (USA) Named To Dow Jones Sustainability Index For
12th Consecutive Year
Feel free to contact us at marketing@itshades.com for any queries
17
Public Service Enterprise Group’s inclusion on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for North America for the 12th year in a row is the latest
recognition of the company’s ongoing and longtime commitment to sustainable and ethical practices. PSEG was one of seven U.S. utility companies selected
for the list. The DJSI recognizes forward-thinking companies based on an appraisal of the company’s strategy, management and performance in dealing with
opportunities and risks deriving from environmental, social and governance factors. The DJSI tracks the performance of the 600 largest U.S. and Canadian
companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index and acknowledges the top 20 percent that lead the field in terms of sustainability.
Highlights of PSEG’s sustainability leadership actions include:
• Since 2009, PSE&G’s energy efficiency efforts have saved enough electricity and natural gas annually to avoid nearly 200,000 metric tons of CO2 and
165 metric tons of NOx from being emitted into the environment.
• In 2009, PSEG established a goal of reducing company-wide GHG emissions by 25% from 2005 levels by 2025. PSEG met this goal 14 years ahead of

Entergy Texas, Inc. has entered into a long-term agreement with Enchanted Rock, LLC to deploy an on-site backup generation pilot project
with a commercial customer in The Woodlands, Texas. This pilot project will be used to help Entergy Texas evaluate back-up generation
solutions for future commercial and small industrial customers. Enchanted Rock installed and will maintain the natural-gas powered back-up
generator system, which will be owned by Entergy Texas, at a retail location in The Woodlands. Importantly, the system can run
synchronously with the grid, which allows Entergy Texas to call upon the generator when needed, such as during times of high demand, thus
providing service and benefits to all of Entergy Texas’ customers. The system also can operate in “island mode” – with the generator
disconnected from the grid but generating power to keep the store open in the event extreme weather affects the power grid. During grid
outages, the store can operate as usual, providing the community access to emergency supplies during significant weather events such as
storms or hurricanes. Entergy Texas expects to use this pilot project as part of its initiative to develop products and services geared towards
meeting customers’ requirements. With the deployment of this back-up generation pilot, Entergy Texas will be able to learn from and work

Iberdrola and Mercedes Benz are strengthening their commitment to the electrification of transport following the signing of a
strategic agreement that will allow both companies to continue to drive forward the roll out of electrical mobility in Spain, break entry
barriers and promote “zero emissions” transport, by facilitating the move to electric vehicles. The alliance is based on three pillars for
the next 3 years, both in the home and companies charging segment and in the roll out of the public recharging network in the
country. It means that Mercedes-Benz will include Iberdrola's mobility solutions - home and public charging - in the marketing
process for electric vehicles in Spain. In the home, Iberdrola will supply and install recharging points for all customers of the new
Mercedes-Benz EQ range and vans in a fixed-rate package, regardless of the specification of the home. Also, Iberdrola will facilitate
access to the public recharging network provided by the company under very special conditions, those established in its Energy
Package, as well as including free charging for 6 months. The collaboration agreement allows both companies to combine forces with
an offer that simplifies and facilitates the customers' decision to join the electric movement, allowing them to enjoy all the benefits
of an electric vehicle from the moment of purchase.

DTE Energy announced a goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions in its electric company by 2050. This bold new
goal sets the framework for DTE to go beyond its existing commitment to reduce carbon emissions 50% by 2030
and 80% by 2040, ensuring its medium- and long-term plans align with the scientific consensus around the
importance of achieving significant economy-wide carbon emissions reduction by mid-century.In early 2017, DTE
was the first energy company in Michigan and one of two in the nation to step forward and commit to an 80% carbon
reduction goal — a strong move that other energy companies across the country have since followed. Just a few
months ago, DTE accelerated its commitment, moving up its 80% carbon reduction goal by 10 years. Achieving
carbon neutrality will require further advancements in technology, such as carbon capture, large-scale storage, and
modular nuclear facilities. The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) President Bob Perciasepe also
applauded DTE Energy for its commitment to clean energy.

Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable AES (USA) Accelerates Debt Reduction by Prepaying $443 Million of Recourse Debt The AES Corporation announced that in September it voluntarily prepaid $443 million of recourse debt. As a result, the Company’s long-term recourse debt balance has been reduced to $3.2 billion as of September 30, 2019. The Company previously planned to reduce its recourse debt by $300 million through 2022, including $150 million in 2019. With this prepayment, the Company has achieved investment grade levels on the two primary credit metrics as of September 30, 2019.The prepayment, which was funded with cash on hand, includes $343 million of the Company’s Senior Secured Term Loan due in 2022 and $100 million of its 4.875% Senior Unsecured Notes due in 2023. Executive Commentary “We are very pleased that we were able to accelerate and increase our recourse debt reduction,” said AES Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. “By prepaying another $443 million, we have further strengthened our balance sheet and the likelihood of attaining investment grade ratings in 2020.” Feel free to contact us at marketing@itshades.com for any queries Description 1For more details, please click the link below: https://www.aes.com/news-and-views/press-releases/press-release-details/2019/AES-Accelerates-Debt-Reduction-by-Prepaying-443-Million-of-Recourse-Debt/default.aspx
  • 7. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable EnBW(Germany) sells interests in Hungary EnBW is selling its stakes in the two Hungarian electricity supply companies ELMÜ and EMASZ and consequently withdrawing from the Hungarian market. The buyer is a subsidiary of E.ON, which had already indirectly obtained majority shareholdings in ELMÜ and EMASZ in the recently completed acquisition of Innogy. The sale of its approximately 27 percent interest in the two electricity providers ELMÜ and EMASZ brings EnBW’s involvement in Hungary to an end. EnBW already sold its stake in the Matra lignite-fired power plant to a Hungarian investor in 2018.Budapesti Elektromos Művek Nyrt. (ELMÜ) and Észak-magyarországi Áramszolgáltató Nyrt. (EMASZ) are publicly listed electricity providers headquartered in Budapest. ELMÜ and EMASZ have a workforce of around 2,700 and serve some 2.1 million customers in Budapest and north-eastern Hungary, which represents about 30 percent of the market. Their main business areas are the sale and distribution of electricity and gas and operation of their electricity grids. Executive Commentary “The two minority shareholdings have done very well since our entry into the Hungarian market around 25 years ago. But the new ownership structure means that their strategic importance for us has declined and we are now making use of the opportunity to withdraw from the market on financially attractive terms, explained CFO. The disposal is also in line with the divestment targets under our 2020 Strategy and the related portfolio transformation.” Feel free to contact us at marketing@itshades.com for any queries Description 2For more details, please click the link below: https://www.enbw.com/company/press/press-releases/press-release-details_218432.html

Miscellaneous Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Net Zero Carbon emissions goal announced by DTE Energy (USA) Electric Company Feel free to contact us at marketing@itshades.com for any queries 47 DTE Energy announced a goal to achieve net zero carbon emissions in its electric company by 2050. This bold new goal sets the framework for DTE to go beyond its existing commitment to reduce carbon emissions 50% by 2030 and 80% by 2040, ensuring its medium- and long-term plans align with the scientific consensus around the importance of achieving significant economy-wide carbon emissions reduction by mid-century.In early 2017, DTE was the first energy company in Michigan and one of two in the nation to step forward and commit to an 80% carbon reduction goal — a strong move that other energy companies across the country have since followed. Just a few months ago, DTE accelerated its commitment, moving up its 80% carbon reduction goal by 10 years. Achieving carbon neutrality will require further advancements in technology, such as carbon capture, large-scale storage, and modular nuclear facilities. The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) President Bob Perciasepe also applauded DTE Energy for its commitment to clean energy.
