Delphi Technologies Shareholders Approve Acquisition by BorgWarner (USA)
BorgWarner Inc.announced that shareholders of Delphi
Technologies PLC approved BorgWarner’s all-stock
acquisition of Delphi Technologies at a special meeting. An
overwhelming majority of Delphi Technologies’
shareholders voted in favor of the transaction.BorgWarner
and Delphi Technologies are continuing to work diligently
towards closing the transaction, which is subject to the
receipt of the remaining required regulatory approvals and
satisfaction or waiver of other closing conditions, including
the sanctioning of the scheme of arrangement by the Royal
Court of Jersey.

Technologies’ shareholders have voted to approve the

Bridgestone (Japan) Acquires iTrack Solutions Business from Transense Technologies
Bridgestone Corporation announced it has completed the purchase of the iTrack
Solutions Business from UK-based Transense Technologies PLC.iTrack is a
globally-preferred provider of tire management solutions for the
off-the-roadvehicle market. The business offers a comprehensive tire pressure
monitoring system specially designed for mining tires. In addition to tire
temperature and pressure monitoring, the iTrack tire management platform
provides customizable geofencing, speed alerts and more to help mining
customers optimize their operations for increased productivity and
profitability.Bridgestone entered into a joint collaboration agreement with
Transense in August 2019 and began referring OTR customers to the iTrack
solutions platform at that time. Customer response to the tire management
platform has been overwhelmingly positive. Bridgestone will expand this
offering to additional OTR customers as it fully integrates the solution into its
portfolio. To ensure a seamless transition, all employees of the iTrack Solutions
Business will join Bridgestone as part of the acquisition.

new tagline and refreshed Bridgestone brand identity are part of the company's ongoing transformation and the evolution of its offering beyond

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company will provide two additional fitments for the popular Porsche Taycan. Goodyear
was named the supplier for the first models of the Taycan in 2019 and the successful relationship led to additional work
with the premium German car manufacturer and two new Goodyear fitments on its all-electric model.Goodyear is one of

Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it has developed a new Acceleration Suppression System, in addition to its existing system, to help
further deter serious accidents and reduce damage caused by misapplication of the accelerator pedal. Toyota launched this system as "Plus
Support" for new cars and added the function in the "Pedal Misapplication Acceleration Control System II" retrofit device for use with existing
cars.In 2012, Toyota introduced Intelligent Clearance Sonar for new vehicles and since 2018, had launched a retrofit "Pedal Misapplication
Acceleration Control System" for existing vehicles.These existing systems help prevent accidents caused by accelerator pedal misapplication
when sensors detect obstacles such as a wall or glass. According to data confirmed by Toyota, ICS helps prevent roughly 70 percent of all potential
accidents that could occur due to accelerator pedal misapplication. However, new technologies needed to be developed to reduce the remaining
number of accidents, including accidents in situations where obstacles are absent.At the development phase this time, Toyota first looked at actual
accidents where the cause was determined to be accelerator pedal misapplication, particularly analysing situations where the accelerator pedal was
pressed fully. The characteristics of these situations were then compared with big data collected from Toyota's connected vehicles.

Toyota (Japan) Launches Stamping-Type Plating Machine that Significantly
Reduces Environmental Impact and Transforms Plating Process

Solution Description
Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it has developed a world's first stamping-type plating technology that uses a polymer membrane,
through which metal ions can pass, to apply plating, like a stamp, only to areas requiring plating. The technology is used in the plating process for
forming copper, nickel, and other metal coatings on substrates in the process of manufacturing electronic parts. Toyota has also announced a
collaboration with Mikado Technos Co., Ltd. and Kanematsu Corporation to manufacture and sell, and therefore expand the use of, new plating
machines based on this new technology. This new stamping-type plating machine eliminates the need of a dipping process where parts to be plated
are completely immersed in multiple baths of plating solution, which is required in the most common plating process at present. As a result, waste
solution can be dramatically reduced to about one-thirtieth and CO2 emissions to about one-third, which contributes to a significant reduction in
environmental impact. The technology also reduces plating time and process footprint.Toyota decided to launch the stamping-type plating
machine, which is expected to deliver these outcomes, and expand use to many companies in a range of industries, not just to its business partners
in the production of Toyota automobiles, to help reduce the impact on the environment and provide other benefits.

Toyota Motor Corporation announced today that it will make its Total Human Model for Safety software freely available from January 2021 as
part of its efforts toward a safe mobility society. THUMS is a virtual human body model software program for computer analysis of human body
injuries caused in vehicle collisions. Free access to THUMS, and subsequent use by a wider variety of users, is expected to enhance vehicle
safety.Designed to aid vehicle safety technologies' research and development, and developed in cooperation with Toyota Central R&D Labs., Inc.,
THUMS was the world's first virtual human body model software when it launched in 2000. It enabled simulation and analysis of injuries caused
in vehicle collisions. Since then, and up until the latest Version 6 was released last year, it has continually evolved to add a range of models with
different genders, ages and physiques that include skeletal structures, brains, internal organs, and muscles. Compared to the physical crash
dummies commonly used in vehicle collision tests, THUMS is able to analyse collision-related injuries in more detail, because it precisely models
the shapes and durability of human bodies. Conducting simulations on computers also enables repeated analysis of a range of different collision
patterns, while it can dramatically reduce development lead times and costs associated with collision testing.

Bridgestone Corporation announced that it secured a victory in its trademark and trade dress infringement lawsuit against
Brazilian retread company NEW TYRE REMOLDADORA DE PNEUS, in the São Paulo Court of Appeals.Bridgestone filed a
lawsuit claiming that NEW TYRE's manufacture and sale of tires featuring the TURANZA trademark and TURANZA ER300
tread pattern*2 infringed Bridgestone's trademark and trade dress rights. In December 2016, the São Paulo Court of Appeals ruled
in favor of Bridgestone and ordered NEW TIRE to cease infringing and pay damages. The quantification phase ascertaining the
figures owed by the Defendant was concluded in March 2020. This decision is very important leading case for the recognition of
the trade dress infringement of tires by the Brazilian Courts.Bridgestone takes the unauthorized use of its intellectual property
very seriously, and will continue to vigorously enforce its rights against infringers. Through its enforcement activities,
Bridgestone seeks to protect and enhance the company's goodwill and hard-earned brand value.

Hyundai Motor Group received the most model-level awards in the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study, as seven models
ranked highest in their segments.Kia Motors Corporation tied for the highest in overall initial quality with a score of 136 problems
per 100 vehicles, making it the highest-marked mass market brand for the sixth consecutive year. It tallied four segment wins and
brand level award — the most for an individual brand. Kia Forte, Kia Sedona, Kia Sorento and Kia Soul each ranked highest in
their segments.For Hyundai, J.D. Power ranked Hyundai Tucson as the best compact SUV in initial quality, while Hyundai
Veloster also earned the top score in the compact sporty car segment. In addition, Hyundai Accent and Elantra both finished
second in their respective segments, while Santa Fe finished third.Genesis led the premium segment as the top-ranked premium
nameplate for four consecutive years. The G70 scored 129 PP100 to rank as the top Compact Premium Car for the second year
in a row.The 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study is based on responses from 87,282 purchasers and lessees of new 2020 model-year
vehicles who were surveyed after 90 days of ownership.

Kia ranked number one in the industryby J.D. Power in the 2020 U.S. Initial Quality Study, with a reported 136 problems per 100
vehicles. And for the sixth consecutive year, Kia is the number one mass-market automotive brand.Kia’s continued success in IQS
was led by having two models – Forte and Soul –included among the top 10 vehicles in the industry. Kia also had segment-best

GM (USA)Delivers Over 713,600 Vehicles in China in the Second Quarter

Despite the major challenge caused by COVID-19, GM continued to enhance its product mix in China through an intensive launch cadence, with a sharpened focus on luxury vehicles,
midsize/large SUVs and MPVs. The Cadillac CT4, Buick GL8 Avenir, Buick new-generation GL8 ES and GL8 Legacy, and Chevrolet Blazer were introduced in the second quarter on a wide
range of online platforms.The brands remained resilient and their sales steadily picked up from the previous quarter, showing early signs of recovery.
• Buick deliveries topped 213,500 units in the second quarter, an increase of 7.8% from a year earlier. Buick fortified its longstanding leadership in the MPV segment with the introduction of
the all-new GL8 Avenir family. It has taken the brand to a more premium level of the segment, providing further opportunities to customers looking to upgrade. Buick will further strengthen
its SUV portfolio with the upcoming all-new Envision S.
• Cadillac deliveries surpassed 58,500 units. With the launch of the CT4 sedan in April, Cadillac now has its strongest and most complete lineup to compete in the steadily growing luxury
segment. The brand continued to offer a leasing program to attract young customers by enabling them to enjoy a flexible car ownership experience.
• Chevrolet delivered more than 77,600 vehicles. It upgraded the popular Monza and Onix sedan lineups, with new variants offering a wider range of propulsion options to meet the diverse
needs of its customers. The launch of the Blazer mid-large SUV is allowing Chevrolet to tap into one of China’s fastest-growing segments.
• Baojun had deliveries of nearly 94,100 units. The RC-5 sedan and the RS-7 SUV, the newest members of the brand’s lineup adorned with its diamond logo, will soon arrive in the market.
• Wuling sales grew 9.7% year over year to more than 269,800 units, showing robust momentum. It sustained its leading position in commercial vehicles while strengthening its foothold in
passenger vehicles through the introduction of its new global silver badge. The first product adorned with the new badge – the Victory MPV will be launched later this year.

Trim Systems Co., Ltd. to make certain changes to their existing joint venture relationships.Adient agreed to sell its 30 percent ownership stake in Yanfeng
Global Automotive Interior Systems Co., Ltd.to Yanfeng for US$ 379 million. In connection with obtaining certain required regulatory consents, Adient and
Yanfeng have agreed to certain modifications to the transactions. The purchase price for the sale by Adient of its 30 percent ownership stake in YFAI will be
reduced to US$ 369 million, of which US$ 309 million will be paid at the closing of the agreed transactions and the remaining US$ 60 million will be paid
on a deferred basis post-closing. With respect to each YFAI fiscal year ending after the closing, starting with the year ending December 31, 2020, Adient will

Bridgestone, the world’s largest tyre and rubber manufacturer, is collaborating with Microsoft to develop a world-first monitoring system for detecting tyre
damage issues in real-time. These issues are a serious matter, contributing to some 30% of all car accidents caused by technical failure.Tyre issues take four
main forms: inadequate pressure, fatigue, irregular wear, and lastly, damage from curbs, potholes, or items on the road. Fortunately, most of these issues can
already be reliably mitigated against. TPMS have been mandatory in all cars built since 2012, and help motorists avoid low-pressure problems. Regular
service and replacing tyres in time will guard against wear and fatigue.The exception, and safety gap, has been tyre damage – which often cannot be detected
without close, manual inspection, and which can potentially occur at any time. Damaged tyres can lead to accidents. They can also adversely affect other
vehicle components, such as causing damage to the wheels, and thus create a further source of potential danger to motorists.Now that gap can be closed.
Bridgestone’s Tyre Damage Monitoring System delivers real-time awareness of damage. It uses MCVP’s cloud framework together with existing sensor data,
from hardware that is already installed, and uses algorithms to detect events affecting the tyre surface and carcass. The driver can then be immediately
notified of the hazard and act accordingly to remedy the situation. There is currently no other equivalent monitoring system available in the market.
Alternatives would require extra hardware to be installed.

40-acre barren plot witnessed immense success and was scaled up to 100-acres, transformed into a lush greenspace, becoming a micro-habitat and
a recreational attraction to the local communities. Since 2015, more than 2000 Tata Motors volunteers have planted over 50,000 indigenous
saplings at Warje. With 40% canopy cover, Wajre Urban Forestry is rich in biodiversity hosting 10 species of animals and reptile, 50 avian species,
200 species of insects and 15 species of vegetation. The increased green cover has provided the city with fresh clean air with the overall oxygen
production going up to 7 lakh kgs and sequestration of 3lakh kgs of carbon, annually. Additionally, the project also focused on reducing soil erosion
by 130%.Research is increasingly supporting the thesis that urban forests and urban trees are good for our physical and mental health and that it
provides a range of benefits to local communities. Keeping this in mind, Tata Motors piloted the concept of Urban Forestry in Warje near Pune,

The business offers a comprehensive tire pressure monitoring system specially designed for mining tires. In addition to tire temperature and pressure monitoring, the iTrack tire management platform provides customizable geofencing, speed alerts and more to help mining customers optimize their operations for increased productivity and profitability.Bridgestone entered into a joint collaboration agreement with Transense in August 2019 and began referring OTR customers to the iTrack solutions platform at that time. Customer response to the tire management platform has been overwhelmingly positive. Toyota launched this system as "Plus Support" for new cars and added the function in the "Pedal Misapplication Acceleration Control System II" retrofit device for use with existing cars.In 2012, Toyota introduced Intelligent Clearance Sonar for new vehicles and since 2018, had launched a retrofit "Pedal Misapplication Acceleration Control System" for existing vehicles.These existing systems help prevent accidents caused by accelerator pedal misapplication when sensors detect obstacles such as a wall or glass. According to data confirmed by Toyota, ICS helps prevent roughly 70 percent of all potential accidents that could occur due to accelerator pedal misapplication. However, new technologies needed to be developed to reduce the remaining number of accidents, including accidents in situations where obstacles are absent.At the development phase this time, Toyota first looked at actual accidents where the cause was determined to be accelerator pedal misapplication, particularly analysing situations where the accelerator pedal was pressed fully. The characteristics of these situations were then compared with big data collected from Toyota's connected vehicles.

The technology is used in the plating process for forming copper, nickel, and other metal coatings on substrates in the process of manufacturing electronic parts. Toyota has also announced a collaboration with Mikado Technos Co., Ltd. and Kanematsu Corporation to manufacture and sell, and therefore expand the use of, new plating machines based on this new technology. This new stamping-type plating machine eliminates the need of a dipping process where parts to be plated are completely immersed in multiple baths of plating solution, which is required in the most common plating process at present. As a result, waste solution can be dramatically reduced to about one-thirtieth and CO2 emissions to about one-third, which contributes to a significant reduction in environmental impact. The technology also reduces plating time and process footprint.Toyota decided to launch the stamping-type plating machine, which is expected to deliver these outcomes, and expand use to many companies in a range of industries, not just to its business partners in the production of Toyota automobiles, to help reduce the impact on the environment and provide other benefits.

Instead of having to refer to the printed owner’s manual, drivers can use the app to more easily find information about individual features. The easy-to-use app also has the advantage of being able to explain functions simply and conveniently.Kia has offered augmented reality mobile apps to customers in certain markets since 2017. However, wide use of the app was limited as it required measuring all layouts and switches for every new model. Kia, Google and Megazone focused on recognizing symbols on the switches making the app compatible with any new models as symbols in vehicles are universal. Partnering with Google Cloud and Megazone means the new Kia Owner’s Manual app can be more easily tailored and adapted for dozens of Kia’s global markets.By applying Google Cloud’s unique AI platform-based imagelearning technology, the app’s Symbol Scanner function allows accurate identification of in-car switch symbols from any angle.For example, if a user scans the ‘cruise control’ symbol on the steering wheel with a smartphone, the AI platform will recognize the image via server communication. Created in 2015, DDI offering relies on capturing, processing and analyzing driving data. In a span of just 3 years, a project that started on a 40-acre barren plot witnessed immense success and was scaled up to 100-acres, transformed into a lush greenspace, becoming a micro-habitat and a recreational attraction to the local communities. Since 2015, more than 2000 Tata Motors volunteers have planted over 50,000 indigenous saplings at Warje. With 40% canopy cover, Wajre Urban Forestry is rich in biodiversity hosting 10 species of animals and reptile, 50 avian species, 200 species of insects and 15 species of vegetation. The increased green cover has provided the city with fresh clean air with the overall oxygen production going up to 7 lakh kgs and sequestration of 3lakh kgs of carbon, annually. Additionally, the project also focused on reducing soil erosion by 130%.Research is increasingly supporting the thesis that urban forests and urban trees are good for our physical and mental health and that it provides a range of benefits to local communities.
