Provide students with sources
◦ Key aspect or students spend the time searching and not actually creating
◦ Sample IB Paper 1
Topic: Canadian Confederation 1840-1867
◦ Need to develop a narrow focus using the documents

6. Time to work
Working in groups – examine the sources and develop a focus for the DBQ
Identify the sources you would use…remember only 4 sources – 1 of which should be a visual
