Scope
i-Thermotek 2500 Hot Tack Tester is applicable to the determination of hot tack and heat seal performance for plastic films,
composite films and other packaging materials as well as peel and tensile tests for adhesive, adhesive tapes, composite
films, plastic films, paper and other flexible materials.
Test Procedures
A: Prepare test specimen according to specific standards. The test specimen should be of uniform thickness and should be
free of wrinkles, creases or other visible imperfections. Use sample cutter (width is 15 mm, 25 mm or 25.4 mm) to cut
specimens measuring about 350-400 mm long.
B: Adjust the sample grips and mount the specimen.

C: Set up test parameters and specimen parameters.

D: Start the test and record the test data. View the test curve and if it is not satisfactory, the test should be abandoned and
another test with new specimen should be performed.
