Soil dispersivity is mainly due to the presence of exchangeable sodium present in the structure. Dispersive soils are identified by an unstable structure, easily flocculated in water, and very erodible. Using dispersive clay soils in hydraulic structures, embankment dams, or other structures such as roadway embankments can cause serious engineering problems if these soils are not identified and used appropriately. Some important parameters of dispersive soil obtained from laboratory testing are investigated in this paper. Soil sample is taken from Mandalay at about 3ft depth. To determine physical properties of soil, water content determination, specific gravity test, grain size analysis, Atterberg limits test, crumb test. Standard Proctor compaction test, Unconfined Compression Strength UCS test are carried out to determine mechanical properties of soil. According to Unified Soil Classification System, the studied soil is in CH group and group name is lean clay with sand. From crumb test, sample has grade 4. Therefore, the studied soil is highly dispersive. An Experimental Study on Stabilization of Loose Soil by Using Jute Fiber
Stabilization is one of the methods of modifying the properties of a soil to improve its index parameters as well as strength parameters and it can be used for a variety of engineering works. Expansive soil is the major problem for civil engineers, either for construction of road and foundation works by using the stability of soil and reduces the construction cost. soil is stabilized by in objectives of this research were to investigate the effect of Jute fiber on the engineering property optimum moisture content and maximum dry density, plastic limit, liquid limit, compaction, unconfined compressive strength, triaxial and California bearing ratio test of the soil. Jute fiber is most suitable for increasing the strength of the soil and it is eco friendly material. In the present study, the soil samples prepared with the addition of Jute fibers by 0.25 , 0.5 , 0.75 , and 1 the average length of Jute fiber is going to use in this study is approximately 10 15mm. At first, Optimum Moisture Content OMC was determined through the proctor test. At those OMC, several tests like CBR, UCS were conducted. An Experimental Study on Stabilization of Soils by Using Bio Enzymes
The present study, an attempt is made to study the properties of soil stabilized with the Terrazyme, in order to use this technology for Geotechnical applications. Laboratory investigations are carried out blending Terrazyme with soil in different dosages and the effect is studied. A series of Standard Proctor tests, Soaked and Unsoaked California Bearing Ratio CBR test, and Unconfined Compressive Strength tests were conducted on locally available clayey soil as well as clayey soil mixed with different proportions of Terrazyme in order to study the improvement of strength properties of Terrazyme stabilized the soil. The specimen are compacted to their respective MDD at optimum moisture content. Results show that the terrazyme can successfully be used to stabilize the soil. Water plays a vital role in mineral processing and about 2-3 tons of water is used for the treatment of one ton of ore. The objective of water recovery in thickener is to increase the solids concentration at the underflow to obtain clear water at the overflow. The particle size distribution, that follows the Rosin- Rammler equation, is considered as the most important factors affecting thickener choosing and waste water treatment. If solids below 200mesh include 8% or more of weight of feed, flocculant should be used to increase the sedimentation rate and the water clarity. Increasing the concentration of solids in the feed (up to 25 wt %) reduces the size and cost of the equipments required for separating. If a high concentration of solids in the feed is used with flocculant, thickener overflow can dilute feed and can increase sedimentation rate and clarity. An extra depth should be added to thickener depth due to the space lost by the turbulence of the fluid resistance force.

1)Concrete and cement are not the same thing; cement is actually just a component of concrete.
Concrete is made up of three basic components: water, aggregate (rock, sand, or gravel) and
Portland cement. Cement, usually in powder form, acts as a binding agent when mixed with
water and aggregates. This combination, or concrete mix, will be poured and harden into the
durable material with which we are all familiar. There are three basic ingredients in the concrete
mix: Portland Cement Water Aggregates (rock and sand) Portland Cement - The cement and
water form a paste that coats the aggregate and sand in the mix. The paste hardens and binds the
aggregates and sand together. Water- Water is needed to chemically react with the cement
(hydration) and too provide workability with the concrete. The amount of water in the mix in
pounds compared with the amount of cement is called the water/cement ratio. The lower the w/c
ratio, the stronger the concrete. (higher strength, less permeability) Aggregates- Sand is the fine
aggregate. Gravel or crushed stone is the coarse aggregate in most mixes.

This paper presents study of the stabilization of natural soil with lime. Firstly, Soil samples from Madaya Township are collected and several laboratory tests are carried out to determine the characteristics and engineering properties of the studied soil. Then experimental tests have been conducted for the determination of Atterberg limits and California Bearing Ratio CBR values. The studied soil contains more than 50 of silt clay fraction. So, the studied soil is stabilized with lime contents selected as 5 and 10 by weight of natural soil at maximum dry density. When soil samples are mixed with lime, the values of liquid limit, plasticity index and CBR values are changed. These changes are decreased in swelling and shrinking potential of the soil, decreased in the settlement of the pavements, increase in workability and increase in the bearing capacity of the soils. In this study, the CBR values of soil lime mixtures are 71.4 and 64.4 higher than that of studied soil. It can be seen that the CBR value of lime 5 is greater than lime 10 and natural soil. The present study, an attempt is made to study the properties of soil stabilized with the Terrazyme, in order to use this technology for Geotechnical applications. Laboratory investigations are carried out blending Terrazyme with soil in different dosages and the effect is studied. A series of Standard Proctor tests, Soaked and Unsoaked California Bearing Ratio CBR test, and Unconfined Compressive Strength tests were conducted on locally available clayey soil as well as clayey soil mixed with different proportions of Terrazyme in order to study the improvement of strength properties of Terrazyme stabilized the soil. The specimen are compacted to their respective MDD at optimum moisture content. Results show that the terrazyme can successfully be used to stabilize the soil. Water plays a vital role in mineral processing and about 2-3 tons of water is used for the treatment of one ton of ore. The objective of water recovery in thickener is to increase the solids concentration at the underflow to obtain clear water at the overflow. The particle size distribution, that follows the Rosin- Rammler equation, is considered as the most important factors affecting thickener choosing and waste water treatment. If solids below 200mesh include 8% or more of weight of feed, flocculant should be used to increase the sedimentation rate and the water clarity. Increasing the concentration of solids in the feed (up to 25 wt %) reduces the size and cost of the equipments required for separating. If a high concentration of solids in the feed is used with flocculant, thickener overflow can dilute feed and can increase sedimentation rate and clarity. An extra depth should be added to thickener depth due to the space lost by the turbulence of the fluid resistance force.

This paper presents study of the stabilization of natural soil with lime. Firstly, Soil samples from Madaya Township are collected and several laboratory tests are carried out to determine the characteristics and engineering properties of the studied soil. Then experimental tests have been conducted for the determination of Atterberg limits and California Bearing Ratio CBR values. The studied soil contains more than 50 of silt clay fraction. So, the studied soil is stabilized with lime contents selected as 5 and 10 by weight of natural soil at maximum dry density. When soil samples are mixed with lime, the values of liquid limit, plasticity index and CBR values are changed. These changes are decreased in swelling and shrinking potential of the soil, decreased in the settlement of the pavements, increase in workability and increase in the bearing capacity of the soils. In this study, the CBR values of soil lime mixtures are 71.4 and 64.4 higher than that of studied soil. It can be seen that the CBR value of lime 5 is greater than lime 10 and natural soil.
