The Energy Control

2. Local control of the electrical facilities
iControl is the solution for the local control of automated
substations and generation facilities, connecting directly to
the RTU, via serial channel or LAN.
This SCADA system can control any type of RTUs, regardless
of manufacturer, as it uses standard communication
protocols (IEC61850, IEC60870-5-101/104, DNP3.0, Modbus)
and system configuration files based on open formats
(XML, CSV, etc.) This will make easy to import information
to the RTU units.
In IEC61850 substations, iControl will act as data client
connected to the substation network, not only to the RTU,
but also to all the protection and measurement devices.
It will send them commands and set points, and receive
information regarding their status.

3. Telecontrol of the Electrical Grid
In many cases, it is necessary either to control a part of the network independently from the corporate SCADA, or
to have an auxiliary Control Center in case of failure of the main Control Center. iControl is a low-cost software
which, in its client / server version, is designed for controlling facilities networks remotely.
Besides, the capability of working with floating clients allows operators to connect to the system from different
locations, no matter where they are or the distance to the facilities and the server.
› Client / Server
The iControl server will be connected both to the
Telecontrol network, from which will receive all data, and
to the Intranet of the company.
iControl clients will communicate to the server
through the company Intranet. The server will facilitate
information of all remote devices.
Customers represent floating licenses, not tied to an
specific computer, which facilitates access to information
from different places.
