ALROSA announces the results of two auctions for special
size rough diamonds (over 10.8 carats) held in Belgium and
Israel this September. In Belgium, the company sold 133
rough diamonds with a total weight of 2,173 carats. The
overall revenue amounted to $7.4 million. Clients from
Belgium, India, Israel and United Arab Emirates (20
companies in total) bought the goods. The auction in Israel
brought ALROSA $13.3 million in revenue. The company
sold 100 rough diamonds with a total weight of 1,860 carats
to 31 participants from Israel, United Arab Emirates and
Belgium.
Executive Commentary
“The auctions’ results confirm the demand for high quality
rough diamonds. We saw this specifically at the Israeli
auction, where the total proceeds significantly exceeded
the reserve price. We also continue to monitor the market's
needs and focus on meeting the real demand from our
customers,” notedDeputy CEO of ALROSA.

BHP (Australia) to acquire an additional 28 per cent working interest in Shenzi
from Hess
BHP announced that it has signed a Membership Interest Purchase and Sale Agreement
with Hess Corporation (Hess) to acquire an additional 28 per cent working interest in
Shenzi, a six-lease development in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Shenzi is structured as
a joint ownership: BHP (Operator, 44 per cent interest); Hess (28 per cent interest) and
Repsol S.A. (28 per cent interest). BHP and Hess have agreed to a purchase price of
US$505 million, subject to customary pre and post-closing adjustments. The acquisition
would bring BHP’s working interest to 72 per cent and immediately add approximately
11,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of production (90 per cent oil). This transaction
is consistent with our strategy of targeting counter-cyclical acquisitions in high-quality
producing or near producing assets. While our strict Capital Allocation Framework tests
ensure all investments are resilient to low points in the commodity cycle, we also
recognise the potential for price upside over the medium term given the global slowdown
in development activity, and we are well positioned to participate in that upside. We
continue to believe that the fundamentals for oil and advantaged gas will be attractive for
the next decade and likely beyond.
Executive Commentary
BHP President Petroleum Operations, said: “This transaction aligns with our plans to
enhance our petroleum portfolio by targeted acquisitions in high quality producing
deepwater assets and the continued de-risking of our growth options. We are
purchasing the stake in Shenzi at an attractive price, it’s a tier one asset with
optionality, and key to BHP’s Gulf of Mexico heartland. As the operator, we have
more opportunity to grow Shenzi high-margin barrels and value with an increased
working interest.”

Vale (Brazil) Invests in Genetic Research to Help in the development of Vaccines
and Drugs against the Novel Coronavirus
Vale Institute of Technology (ITV) and Fiocruz will carry out the most extensive genome
sequencing study of the novel coronavirus (Sars-CoV-2) so far developed in the country. Both
institutions will collect at least 1,000 samples of the virus that causes COVID-19, which has
become the greatest challenge for humanity. The goal is to contribute with further knowledge
about the virus in the search for a vaccine and medicine that can reduce the impact of the disease;
foster epidemiological studies; correlate genetic variations of the virus with the clinical history of
the disease; and develop more accurate diagnostic tests. Vale will invest R $ 2.4 million in the
research which began in June 2020 and will be conducted over a period of two years. Samples
will be provided by collection centers located in all Brazilian states. For sake of comparison, by
May 2020, only 290 samples of Sars-CoV-2 had been sequenced in Brazil, with only 157
considered high quality. Other initiatives underway have not yet disclosed the sequences. This is
still a small sample compared to what is needed to understand the genetic variability (mutation)
manifested by the virus in Brazil, which gives it a unique identity. This study intends to collect at
least 2,000 samples of the virus. The works combined will add significant scientific knowledge
to the fight against the virus in the country. 35,000 high-quality SARS-CoV-2 genomes have
already been sequenced worldwide, each representing the characteristics of the virus circulating
in the regions where they were collected.
Executive Commentary
"We need to understand the 'Brazilian DNA' of Sars-CoV-2, find out how it spread across the
country, the transmission routes and how mutations affect the target molecules for diagnostic
tests, and drugs and vaccines to make these disease control tools more efficient, "explained
scientific director at Vale Institute of Technology. According to Guilherme, a large number of
sequenced genomes will enable them to refine the studies on the behavior of the virus based
on its genetic variability. Mapping of genome sequences will generate information that will
serve as a basis for studying new coronaviruses that may emerge in the future.”

CEMEX (Mexico) and Carbon Clean to develop low-cost carbon capture
technology
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com

Solution Description
CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. announced that, through CEMEX Ventures, its Corporate Venture Capital unit, it has signed an agreement with Carbon Clean, a leader in
low-cost modular carbon dioxide capture and separation technology, aimed at developing a carbon capture solution for the cement industry that lies below the line of
U.S.$30/ton cost of CO2 captured. The ambitious target of making carbon capture technology accessible and more efficient would be an unprecedented achievement for
the cement sector, opening a door of opportunities for further developments. With the responsibility of taking action to fight climate change and shift towards a
carbon-neutral economy, CEMEX joins forces with Carbon Clean to make possible the development of a technology that allows for the economically viable capture of
CO2 emissions in the cement industry at industrial scale. As part of the agreement, both companies will further develop and adapt Carbon Clean’s third generation
modularized carbon capture technology for the cement industry. Carbon Clean uses an integrated modular system that works using rotating packed beds (RPBs) to
intensify the carbon capture process. This technology could provide a significant reduction in both capital cost and equipment size, when compared to traditional capture
technologies, enabling the wider-scale commercial deployment of carbon capture systems. The technology will be tested for the first time in the cement industry at a
CEMEX facility by deploying an industrial-scale pilot during the first quarter of 2021. CEMEX and Carbon Clean will jointly work toward making the solution even
more efficient before the construction of what would be the most cost-effective commercial installation for carbon capture in the cement industry to date. With the
capacity to capture up to 100,000 tons of CO2 per year at a cost lower than U.S.$30/ton of CO2 captured; this is a very relevant step in developing the technology required
for adoption by the entire cement sector at a worldwide scale.

JFE Steel (Japan) Rolls Out Mixed-reality Training Simulator will
facilitate safe and effective skills transfer to young employees
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
12
Solution Description
JFE Steel Corporation announced that it has installed a training simulator incorporating advanced mixed reality (MR) technology at its West Japan Works. The system is the first in the
Japanese steel industry to use MR technology for training in steel-mill skills that closely approximates actual hands-on training. Virtual reality (VR) involves the use of
computer-generated virtual spaces whereas augmented reality (AR) adds information to real-world environments to augment real-world experiences. MR, however, merges real and
virtual worlds to create new environments in which physical and virtual elements coexist in real time. Although JFE Steel uses highly qualified educators to ensure that workplace
skills are passed down effectively, in many cases on-the-job training is still required so that young workers can master certain skills through experience, such as working with molten
material at high temperatures, even though such processes involve high operational and safety risks. Passing on such skills safely and effectively therefore poses challenges, especially
now, because young employees are accounting for an increasing proportion of the company’s workforce due to rapid generational changes in personnel at JFE Steel mills. To address
this situation, JFE Steel decided to deploy MR technology in virtual training environments, particularly for tasks requiring hands-on experience, to eliminate real-world risks. The
company is now using MR technology to create training environments that merge the real-world body movements of trainees with highly realistic computer-generated virtual factory
floors. Trainees can move equipment around in virtual 3D spaces and use actual switches to perform certain operations, thereby experiencing what it is like to operate equipment under
both normal and abnormal conditions. More specifically, JFE Steel’s new training simulator enables trainees to practice tasks such as adjusting the volume of molten steel that is poured
into a continuous casting machine. In addition to normal operations, abnormal conditions can be replicated, such as a pouring nozzle becoming clogged, allowing employees to learn
how to handle unexpected occurrences in environments that mirror real-world conditions. Various scenarios can easily be added for training covering a wide range of abnormal
circumstances. Using the MR system before actual on-the-job training not only reduces the operational and safety risks of traditional training, it also helps trainees to learn how to
assess and respond to abnormal conditions quicker and more effectively.

Solution Description
The New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and JFE Steel Corporation announced that they completed a medium-scale ferro
coke production facility with a daily production capacity of 300 tons and then began demonstration testing on October 9, aiming to develop ferro coke production
technology that reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions in the ironmaking process by approximately 10% by around 2023. The test, which is being
implemented in cooperation with Kobe Steel, Ltd. and Nippon Steel Corporation, is part of a project “Technological development of Ironmaking process utilizing
ferro coke”. The new facility is located at JFE Steel’s West Japan Works in Fukuyama, Japan. For many years, Japan’s steel industry has been engaged in aggressive
efforts to increase efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of ironmaking. As the impact of climate change becomes more apparent, the demands for energy
conservation and CO2 emissions reduction have intensified. NEDO and JFE Steel, working in cooperation with Kobe Steel and Nippon Steel, have been
conducting a project “Technological development of ironmaking process utilizing ferro coke1” since fiscal 2017.Ferro coke2 is an innovative blast furnace raw
material produced from low-grade coal and low-grade iron ore in ironmaking process. The catalytic effect of metallic iron, which accounts for approximately 30%
of the content of ferro coke, dramatically increases the reduction efficiency of iron ore, reducing the coke rate at the blast furnace, thereby significantly reducing
the resulting amount of CO2 emissions. The medium-scale facility is one-fifth the 1,500-ton daily production capacity envisioned for commercial operation. It
comprises equipment crushing and drying, mixing and briquetting, and shaft furnace. Crushed low-grade coal, low-grade iron ore, and a binder are mixed and
briquetted, and then subjected to shaft furnace to obtain ferro coke containing metallic iron.

be used as compost for the soil. These trends have led the organic banana sector to implement environmentally friendly processes in their plantations, without
sacrificing quality and efficiency throughout all stages of the fruit´s growth. The use of non-sustainable materials in Dominique Banana´s production process was
a huge challenge for the company, because of their difficult recycling process and the problems of land pollution. Additionally, because the plastic bunch bag
commonly overheated the fruit, this contributed to lost produce. By implementing the Smurfit Kappa BanaBag® in the Campo Alegre and Granja plantations, the
fruit´s quality increased, post-harvest recycling processes were optimised and the soil was fertilised since BanaBag® is compostable.

Solution Description
The voestalpine Metal Engineering Division produces high-grade steels at its site in Donawitz, for processing into special rails for railway
infrastructure, premium wires for the automotive industry, and high-quality seamless tubes for oil & gas exploration. The start-up of a new, fully
automated continuous caster will allow the Group to further increase the quality of the steel grades which are used in the manufacture of highly
advanced end products. The state-of-the-art facility represents an investment volume of around EUR 90 million and has an annual production
capacity of one million tons.Whether for the mobility industry, the energy sector, or railway infrastructure, the quality standards and load-bearing
capacity requirements being demanded of the materials employed are constantly increasing. The new continuous caster CC4 at the site in
Donawitz, replacing the existing facility which has been in service for over 40 years, allows voestalpine to immediately start manufacturing even
higher purity steels with optimal surface properties. Consequently, cracks caused by extreme stresses on the rail surfaces, for example, can be
prevented through the use of homogenous material structures.During the continuous casting process, liquid crude steel is processed into steel
blocks, so-called “blooms,” which are then used to manufacture finished products. The CC4 is the new heart of steel production at Donawitz and
fully complies with all Industry 4.0 standards. It effectively permits the fully automated production, handling, and loading of the blooms.

MMK (Russia) approves data management framework
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
44
Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has approved a data management framework, developed jointly with Deloitte CIS as part of a new digital development
strategy. A key element of MMK's Development Strategy until 2025 is the digitalisation of the Company's business processes with the ultimate goal of increasing
labour productivity and improving product quality. Digitalisation and the development of automated systems leads to an accumulation of data on a large scale
which grows rapidly and constantly. The complexity of processing such large data sets – known as 'Big Data' – makes it necessary to find new approaches to data
management, which includes not only creating, storing and maintaining data, but also increasing the efficiency of the data search process that is required for further
analysis. The Data Management Development Project was launched at the end of last year and approved for implementation by MMK CEO Pavel Shilyaev. Testing
of the new framework was carried out on the basis of data from two production structural units: the Oxygen-Converter Shop and the thick-plate mill 5000.The
ultimate goal of the project is to enable MMK's analytics specialists not only to find necessary data quickly, but also to conduct better analyses. It is sometimes
said that the difference between "information" and "data" is that only information has a value. It is the results of the analysis that turn "data" into "information".
High-quality data management will make information more accurate and complete, and therefore more valuable. To make this happen, MMK will create a unified
corporate dictionary that describes terms in a way that allows the data to reflect the same nuances of meaning. The system and users alike will "speak the same
language". The next stage is to catalogue the data for all information systems that record production data and other data belonging to MMK.

Mondi (UK) partners with SalzburgMilch and SPAR to reduce plastic waste
from food packaging

Leading packaging and paper manufacturer, Mondi, is launching a 80% paper-based packaging solution for cold meats and cheese. The new packaging will
reduce plastic usage for Austrian dairy producer SalzburgMilch by approximately 40 tonnes per year, compared to its previously used rigid plastic
trays.Mondi has launched its innovative PerFORMing removable in partnership with SalzburgMilch for the brand SalzburgMilch Premium and the premium
own-brand SPAR Natur*pur organic cheese slices. The shallow paper tray combines the recyclability of paper with the essential barrier properties of a thin
plastic coating to keep food fresh and avoid waste.Mondi released its original PerFORMing range in 2019 and has continued to work hard to make it even
more sustainable. The original product could be recycled in Austrian paper recycling streams. The updated product now consists of paper and fully removable
plastic which can easily be separated from the paper tray allowing for 100% paper recycling across Europe. The product is made locally in Austria, meaning
transportation is kept to a minimum and the overall carbon footprint is reduced. The base paper for the tray is Advantage Formable made predominantly from
locally sourced wood and produced by Mondi Frantschach, while the trays are processed and coated by Mondi Zeltweg, both located in Austria.PerFORMing
removable is part of Mondi’s EcoSolutions approach to find the most sustainable and fit for purpose packaging for its customers with a focus on replacing,
reducing, and recycling. SalzburgMilch and SPAR are using Mondi’s product for their 175g packets of sliced cheese, which are available in SPAR stores
across Austria.

Mondi, a leading global packaging and paper manufacturer, has collaborated with BIOhof Kirchweidach, an organic farm in Bavaria, to design a
sustainable packaging solution for 500g packs of tomatoes on the vine to be distributed to PENNY supermarkets, owned by major German retailer
REWE Group. Coral Tray fulfils BIOhof’s objective of replacing its previous packaging, which used 2.5 g of plastic film per pack, with a recyclable
and plastic-free solution, supporting REWE Group’s sustainability goals. It’s called ‘Coral Tray’ because of its resemblance to undersea coral and
contribution to reducing plastic waste, potentially helping to protect marine life. This innovative new packaging is fully recyclable and made of
renewable material and recycled corrugated board, which has an average recycling rate of over 80% in Europe.Packaging experts at Mondi Grünburg
in Austria worked with BIOhof’s team to design the one-piece corrugated tray with integrated lid made of lightweight F-Flute. Both the fluting and outer
liner are made of 100% recycled material and the KraftTop inner liner ensures it meets food contact requirements. The new solution can be mechanised
for up to six different package sizes and gives BIOhof the option of using it for other small organic produce.Coral Tray is the result of Mondi’s
successful customer-centric approach, EcoSolutions, which helps customers to develop packaging and paper solutions that are sustainable by design.
By partnering with Mondi, BIOhof was able to switch to an environmentally responsible packaging solution with great shelf appeal, which is a real
advantage as a supplier to an important supermarket group.

Mondi, a leading global packaging and paper manufacturer, has partnered with Adelaide Brighton Cement and Pope Packaging on the
development of a new water-resistant paper bag called ‘Rain Barrier,’ made out of Mondi’s Advantage Protect White sack kraft paper, for
the Australian construction market. Standout characteristics include its water repellent surface and high tensile strength in a wet
environment. While a standard paper bag absorbs water, the qualities of the Rain Barrier bag, keeps water from seeping in, as it stays on
the surface where it evaporates. The paper itself is rain resistant for up to six hours and can resist water ingress for up to five full days
when stored in damp conditions. After being actively involved in testing and developing the new product, Adelaide Brighton Cement, one
of Australia’s leading producers of cement, hydrated lime and packaged products, is the first business in the country to market the new
innovative product. The business is in the process of converting all of their cement and hydrated lime paper bags, manufactured in South

Rio Tinto and Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world’s largest brewer, have formed a global partnership to deliver a new standard of
sustainable aluminium cans. In a first for the canned beverage industry, the two companies have signed an MOU committing to work with
supply chain partners to bring AB InBev products to market in cans made from low-carbon aluminium that meets industry-leading
sustainability standards. Initially focused in North America, the partnership will see AB InBev use Rio Tinto’s low-carbon aluminium made
with renewable hydropower along with recycled content to produce a more sustainable beer can. This will offer a potential reduction in carbon
emissions of more than 30 percent per can compared to similar cans produced using traditional manufacturing techniques in North America.
The partnership will also leverage outcomes from the development of ELYSIS, a disruptive zero carbon aluminium smelting technology. The
first 1 million cans produced through the partnership will be piloted in the United States on Michelob ULTRA, the fastest growing beer brand
in the country. Currently, around 70 percent of the aluminium used in AB InBev cans produced in North America is recycled content. By
pairing this recycled content with low-carbon aluminium, the brewer will take a key step towards reducing the carbon emissions in its
packaging supply chain, which is the largest contributor of emissions by sector in the company's value chain.

  • 6. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable ALROSA (Russia) successfully sells large diamonds in Belgium and Israel ALROSA announces the results of two auctions for special size rough diamonds (over 10.8 carats) held in Belgium and Israel this September. In Belgium, the company sold 133 rough diamonds with a total weight of 2,173 carats. The overall revenue amounted to $7.4 million. Clients from Belgium, India, Israel and United Arab Emirates (20 companies in total) bought the goods. The auction in Israel brought ALROSA $13.3 million in revenue. The company sold 100 rough diamonds with a total weight of 1,860 carats to 31 participants from Israel, United Arab Emirates and Belgium. Executive Commentary “The auctions’ results confirm the demand for high quality rough diamonds. We saw this specifically at the Israeli auction, where the total proceeds significantly exceeded the reserve price. We also continue to monitor the market's needs and focus on meeting the real demand from our customers,” notedDeputy CEO of ALROSA. • 7. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consec- tetuer Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable BHP (Australia) to acquire an additional 28 per cent working interest in Shenzi from Hess BHP announced that it has signed a Membership Interest Purchase and Sale Agreement with Hess Corporation (Hess) to acquire an additional 28 per cent working interest in Shenzi, a six-lease development in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Shenzi is structured as a joint ownership: BHP (Operator, 44 per cent interest); Hess (28 per cent interest) and Repsol S.A. (28 per cent interest). BHP and Hess have agreed to a purchase price of US$505 million, subject to customary pre and post-closing adjustments. The acquisition would bring BHP’s working interest to 72 per cent and immediately add approximately 11,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of production (90 per cent oil). This transaction is consistent with our strategy of targeting counter-cyclical acquisitions in high-quality producing or near producing assets. While our strict Capital Allocation Framework tests ensure all investments are resilient to low points in the commodity cycle, we also recognise the potential for price upside over the medium term given the global slowdown in development activity, and we are well positioned to participate in that upside. We continue to believe that the fundamentals for oil and advantaged gas will be attractive for the next decade and likely beyond. Executive Commentary BHP President Petroleum Operations, said: “This transaction aligns with our plans to enhance our petroleum portfolio by targeted acquisitions in high quality producing deepwater assets and the continued de-risking of our growth options. We are purchasing the stake in Shenzi at an attractive price, it’s a tier one asset with optionality, and key to BHP’s Gulf of Mexico heartland. As the operator, we have more opportunity to grow Shenzi high-margin barrels and value with an increased working interest.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 2

For sake of comparison, by May 2020, only 290 samples of Sars-CoV-2 had been sequenced in Brazil, with only 157 considered high quality. Other initiatives underway have not yet disclosed the sequences. This is still a small sample compared to what is needed to understand the genetic variability (mutation) manifested by the virus in Brazil, which gives it a unique identity. This study intends to collect at least 2,000 samples of the virus. The works combined will add significant scientific knowledge to the fight against the virus in the country. 35,000 high-quality SARS-CoV-2 genomes have already been sequenced worldwide, each representing the characteristics of the virus circulating in the regions where they were collected. Executive Commentary "We need to understand the 'Brazilian DNA' of Sars-CoV-2, find out how it spread across the country, the transmission routes and how mutations affect the target molecules for diagnostic tests, and drugs and vaccines to make these disease control tools more efficient, "explained scientific director at Vale Institute of Technology. According to Guilherme, a large number of sequenced genomes will enable them to refine the studies on the behavior of the virus based on its genetic variability. Mapping of genome sequences will generate information that will serve as a basis for studying new coronaviruses that may emerge in the future.” For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com Description 8

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nib Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable JFE Steel (Japan) Rolls Out Mixed-reality Training Simulator will facilitate safe and effective skills transfer to young employees For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 12 Solution Description JFE Steel Corporation announced that it has installed a training simulator incorporating advanced mixed reality (MR) technology at its West Japan Works. The system is the first in the Japanese steel industry to use MR technology for training in steel-mill skills that closely approximates actual hands-on training. Virtual reality (VR) involves the use of computer-generated virtual spaces whereas augmented reality (AR) adds information to real-world environments to augment real-world experiences. MR, however, merges real and virtual worlds to create new environments in which physical and virtual elements coexist in real time. Although JFE Steel uses highly qualified educators to ensure that workplace skills are passed down effectively, in many cases on-the-job training is still required so that young workers can master certain skills through experience, such as working with molten material at high temperatures, even though such processes involve high operational and safety risks. Passing on such skills safely and effectively therefore poses challenges, especially now, because young employees are accounting for an increasing proportion of the company’s workforce due to rapid generational changes in personnel at JFE Steel mills. To address this situation, JFE Steel decided to deploy MR technology in virtual training environments, particularly for tasks requiring hands-on experience, to eliminate real-world risks. The company is now using MR technology to create training environments that merge the real-world body movements of trainees with highly realistic computer-generated virtual factory floors. Trainees can move equipment around in virtual 3D spaces and use actual switches to perform certain operations, thereby experiencing what it is like to operate equipment under both normal and abnormal conditions. More specifically, JFE Steel’s new training simulator enables trainees to practice tasks such as adjusting the volume of molten steel that is poured into a continuous casting machine. In addition to normal operations, abnormal conditions can be replicated, such as a pouring nozzle becoming clogged, allowing employees to learn how to handle unexpected occurrences in environments that mirror real-world conditions. Various scenarios can easily be added for training covering a wide range of abnormal circumstances. Using the MR system before actual on-the-job training not only reduces the operational and safety risks of traditional training, it also helps trainees to learn how to assess and respond to abnormal conditions quicker and more effectively.

Partner Ecosystem Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable MMK (Russia) approves data management framework For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 44 Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has approved a data management framework, developed jointly with Deloitte CIS as part of a new digital development strategy. A key element of MMK's Development Strategy until 2025 is the digitalisation of the Company's business processes with the ultimate goal of increasing labour productivity and improving product quality. Digitalisation and the development of automated systems leads to an accumulation of data on a large scale which grows rapidly and constantly. The complexity of processing such large data sets – known as 'Big Data' – makes it necessary to find new approaches to data management, which includes not only creating, storing and maintaining data, but also increasing the efficiency of the data search process that is required for further analysis. The Data Management Development Project was launched at the end of last year and approved for implementation by MMK CEO Pavel Shilyaev. Testing of the new framework was carried out on the basis of data from two production structural units: the Oxygen-Converter Shop and the thick-plate mill 5000.The ultimate goal of the project is to enable MMK's analytics specialists not only to find necessary data quickly, but also to conduct better analyses. It is sometimes said that the difference between "information" and "data" is that only information has a value. It is the results of the analysis that turn "data" into "information". High-quality data management will make information more accurate and complete, and therefore more valuable. To make this happen, MMK will create a unified corporate dictionary that describes terms in a way that allows the data to reflect the same nuances of meaning. The system and users alike will "speak the same language". The next stage is to catalogue the data for all information systems that record production data and other data belonging to MMK. Description

The partnership will also leverage outcomes from the development of ELYSIS, a disruptive zero carbon aluminium smelting technology. The first 1 million cans produced through the partnership will be piloted in the United States on Michelob ULTRA, the fastest growing beer brand in the country. Currently, around 70 percent of the aluminium used in AB InBev cans produced in North America is recycled content. By pairing this recycled content with low-carbon aluminium, the brewer will take a key step towards reducing the carbon emissions in its packaging supply chain, which is the largest contributor of emissions by sector in the company's value chain.
