We left Avila at 4AM by taxi.
We were waiting in Barajas airport 2 hours more or less.
Valentina told us 10000000000000….. Times to stop using
the mobiles (nobody stopped).
It was the first time traveling by plane for Gonzalo and
Laura, that’s why they were much more nervous than me.
SUNDAY
That was
our plane
Then we went by taxi to the teachers´
hotel, where our partners were waiting
for us
Laura’s face
Our first view of
the canals
We arrived to the houses of our partners and
“organized ourselves”
Then, we met all together (just students) and we
visited the city for 5 hours,
The palace and the tram
Dam square, the most
important one in Amsterdam
Magna Plaza, a
giant shopping
center
Dam
square
The city is full of these
kind of canals, but they
are not very clean, only
the ducks live there
Most houses in
Amsterdam have lots
of big windows, they
don’t have many
hours of light. The
also don’t have blinds.
Most people use the
public transport or ride
bikes, you can see lots of
bikes parked at both sides
of the canals
More canals….
A Chinese restaurant built
above one of the biggest
canals
Hasan was hosting
another polish girl,
Natalia. She arrived at
9 PM, we became
friends very fast, she
liked the same music
as me
We entered the biggest library in
Amsterdam, it has 6 floors, thousands of
books, good computers, Apple and Acer
(not like in Avila)
They have a piano for
people who want to play it
like in the central metro
station.
We saw lot of brilliant
artists of all ages playing the
piano
Views
from
the
library
As we were a bit cold,
we went to a
Starbucks to take a
hot coffe
You can find very strange
shops in Amsterdam, their
sexual thought is much more
opened than in other
countries
MONDAY
I tried to wake
up, but I fell
sleep again
I got my own room in
Hasan’s house and his
family was friendly
We took the tram all
days to go to school,
which was much
modern than ours
Of course, more canals…
At school we introduced
each other and we made
a Treasure Hunt through
the center of the city
After this, we went with
our partners to shop to
a very expensive place, i
saw a pair of shoes of
my size, but they cost
500 euros :’(
Gonzalo and
Laura went home
and Hasan and
me joined the
other students to
go to the fair, but
first we visited
the “I
Amsterdam”
monument
The fair
There was a
stand with
Spanish churros
Polish
girls with
a monster
I saw “Spanish” wine in
the supermarket
TUESDAY
We visited Nemo’s museum,
the most important in Europe.
But before we made some
logical games at school, some
of then were really difficult
We saw lots of things about
science and sex
And finally……….
We made a tour on
boat through the
canals!!!!
We saw people
filming a
movie!!!
The National
Opera
We returned to the Nemo’s
museum and all the hosts
decided to bring us to the
bowling alley
We saw
lots of cool
buildings
Arina, a Romanian
girl of 12 and me
comparing our feet
34 VS 45
Making
stupid
things…
I was very bad at bowling, I got
angry and threw so fast that the ball
went to other street
We told Arina (1’45 m tall) to throw the
heaviest ball ( 15 kg), even if she could
not throw the lightest ( 6 kg), to our
surprise, she threw all the bowls!!!
WEDNESDA
YWe visited Escher’s
and Boerhaave
museums
I prefer Escher’s one because there
was a visual effect room where you
entered and spacial proportion
looked different
After this, we went to
the cinema with our
partners to see
“Jupiter’s Ascend”.
It was in English but
subtitled in Dutch, like
most the films in the
Netherlands
We ate pizza in an Italian restaurant, i liked
it very much.
I took the Mexicano pizza, but i could’t
finish it
Although it
was really
cold, I bought
an ice cream…
it was
delicious !!!!
THURSDA
YIn the school we made lots of logical
mathematical games and also the
Kangaroo test, it was very difficult I
think
We went to a restaurant to eat a
tasty cheese-burger
When we were free, all people in the
exchange went to shop.
We entered in Zara, H & M, etc.
After shopping we stayed in
the Dam square our last
minutes together
(Taking a photo with
everybody)
With the polish girls in the
restaurant ( El Maestro)
Emanuela said to me good bye
and gave me two kisses 50
times, because she thought I
was going to leave, but not
(with Francesco and
Emanuela)
(making stupid things with the
italians)
FRIDAY
We said goodbye to our hosts
and after, we went with
Fernando and the Polish group
to buy things (Valentina was in
Van Gogh’s museum)
We also visited the red
light district
(the T-shirt
I bought)
Thats was
the only
food I took
until
midday
Bread
meat
Potato-
chips
Fried onion
mayonnaise
The best food i
ate :D
We arrived at 9 PM to Barajas and to
Avila at 10:30 PM. I was very tired i got
dinner and went to bed
ATTENTION
BOYS!!!!
Take care with the door of
the tram because they can
hit if you are not keeping
attention to the them!!
