This document summarizes a presentation on developing hydrological models for the Boura and Binaba watersheds in the Volta Basin. It outlines the background on lack of monitoring data in the watersheds. Methodology discussed instrumentation installed to collect data on rainfall, evaporation, streamflow, and groundwater-surface water interactions to parameterize and validate hydrological models. Initial results showed seasonal and annual flow patterns simulated by different models and temperature profiles in Binaba reservoir. Further data collection, model calibration and scenario analyses were proposed to improve understanding of the watershed hydrology.
