Adolf Hitler became the leader of Germany through a series of escalating roles of power. He was outraged by Germany's defeat in WWI and blamed the Jews. He joined an extremist group as a speaker and was able to turn more people to his views with inflammatory speeches. He used intimidation tactics through the SA army to gain control of the Nazi party. When Hindenburg died, Hitler became president and leader of the army, naming himself Führer and achieving full control over Germany.
