Hitler rose to power in Germany in the 1930s as the leader of the Nazi party. He believed the Aryan race was superior and sought to exterminate Jews and other groups. Under Hitler, Germany established the Third Reich and conquered much of Europe, committing the Holocaust where approximately 6 million Jews were murdered in concentration and extermination camps.
2. Hitler He was an Austrian born German who was the leader of the Nazi party. He wanted to make Germany an race of only white people known as the Aryan race exterminating anyone else. He promoted the Holocaust for the extermination of these people. Hitler committed suicide by shooting himself because he was about to be defeated.
3. His Rise to Power Hitler’s rise to power began in 1919 when he joined Germany’s political party. Hitler then rose to a leadership role because of his skill and persuading ways. Hitler then won the votes of the people to presidency of Germany. He then replaced all other officials with members of the Nazi Party.
4. The Nazi’s The Nazi’s believed that the Aryan race should be the supremacy and that Germany represents the most population of the Aryan race. They claimed that Jews were their biggest threat and they had to exterminate them. Nazism promoted a managed economy that was neither capitalist nor communist.
5. The Holocaust The Holocaust was the murder of approximately six million innocent Jewish people. The people were sent to concentration camps where they were used for labor until they died of exhaustion or disease. If they survived they were sent to extermination camps where they would eventually be killed in gas chambers.
6. Third Reich This was the name given to Nazi Germany while Hitler was the leader of it. When Hitler took control of the Third Reich he quickly eliminated all other political figures so he was the only one. Germany took over most parts of Europe and some of Asia during his reign.
