1. Our group project’s topic: IMPROVING DRAGON FRUIT WAREHOUSE
a)
Activity: Installing new Dragon Fruit washing machine
Requirement:
• Reasonable area for installing new machine.
• Stable electricity and water system to ensure the productivity of the machine.
• Tools needed to installation and repair the machine in an emergency such as electrical
leakage, jammed conveyor belt and etc.
Raw material:
• New machine.
• Vehicles to assist in transporting machine.
• Machine installation and repair tools.
• Water pumps
• Electricity supply
Detail:
1. Area selection
- Measure the length and width to save space and suit the warehouse layout.
- Check the stability of the power and water supply to ensure the safety of the warehouse.
2. Moving the machine
- Check the entrance to avoid collisions while moving.
- Move each machine component to a selected area in preparation for installation.
3. Installation the machine
- Check the machine components carefully before assembling to avoid damage during usage.
- Check whether the water and electricity pipes meet the required standards.
- Sturdy and safe assembly.
4. Testing quality
- Test the machine performance during peak time of a day: 8 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 7
pm.

To ensure the productivity and durability of the machine, we run the machine for testing at dif-
ferent times under different conditions. The trial time period is determined from 5th
May to 7th
May.
Due to the special relation, the area selection, moving the machine and installation the machine
sampling activities are completed in 1 day.

The main tasks to ensure quality of our project.
✰ Monitoring & controlling: Perform quality control
- Assigning quality management responsibility of particular activities/tasks for each person.
- Sticking to the project requirements. Ensure the deliverables are correct and free of defects
and focus on quality from the beginning to the end of the project.
- Requirements management and quality management go hand in hand. We should focus on
improving the requirements process — eliciting, analyzing, documenting and validating
them.
- Performing inspections to identify defects.
- Working and checking carefully in order to bring a defective or non-conforming items into
compliance with quality standards.
- Often reviewing acceptable range of stakeholders’ expectation with current situation.
- Identifying and correcting defects close to the point of origin saves time and money
- Following quality assurance to make improvements.
- Usually having interaction with other departments/people to keep track the situation.
- Updating the cost, budget, risk, schedule continuously to replanning quality management
✰ Planning: Plan quality
- Building quality policies, quality control plan and quality assurance plan for each activity/
product/ deliverables to achieve objectives. Consider risk factors and complexity of the pro-
ject and adapt processes to provide the requisite level of quality.
- Identifying professional standards and regulations in the field of construction including legal,
environmental, economic, and construction safety.
- Collecting the scope statement: project deliverables, project objectives.
- Building framework for quality control, together with sampling plan
- Building good data representation (mind mapping, logical data model,...) for supporting data
such as: budget, cost, risk, schedule,... to make it easy to construct the plans
- Balancing needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders with cost, schedule, and
professional standards.
- Evaluating the costs and benefits of selected quality objectives and the processes to be used
to achieve objectives.
✰ Executing: Perform quality assurance
- Gathering the results of quality control measurements.
- Conducting quality audits (both scheduled and randomly) to identify some improvements can
be made to the project in case you have unexpected, negative or whimsical trends in meas-
urements.

- Quantitatively recognizing the effect of each source of mistakes or defects.
- Setting weekly meetings to review the plan regularly.

- Distinguishing multiple factors within the process that can be modified in conjunction with
one another to enhance to process.

The trial time period is determined from 5th May to 7th May. Due to the special relation, the area selection, moving the machine and installation the machine sampling activities are completed in 1 day. Choose 5 types of ve- hicles such as trolley, forklift, … and check whether the machine can fit through the entrance. Find the most suitable vehicle for moving. 2 engineers check machine components and assemble care- fully to avoid re- dismantling when detecting errors. 2 engineers test the ma- chine for 2 days with stable electricity and water at different times. Find the time when the machine is running at the highest productivity in minimal time.

Ensure the deliverables are correct and free of defects and focus on quality from the beginning to the end of the project. - Requirements management and quality management go hand in hand. We should focus on improving the requirements process — eliciting, analyzing, documenting and validating them. - Performing inspections to identify defects. - Working and checking carefully in order to bring a defective or non-conforming items into compliance with quality standards. - Often reviewing acceptable range of stakeholders’ expectation with current situation. - Identifying and correcting defects close to the point of origin saves time and money - Following quality assurance to make improvements. - Usually having interaction with other departments/people to keep track the situation. - Updating the cost, budget, risk, schedule continuously to replanning quality management ✰ Planning: Plan quality - Building quality policies, quality control plan and quality assurance plan for each activity/ product/ deliverables to achieve objectives. Consider risk factors and complexity of the pro- ject and adapt processes to provide the requisite level of quality. - Identifying professional standards and regulations in the field of construction including legal, environmental, economic, and construction safety. - Collecting the scope statement: project deliverables, project objectives. - Building framework for quality control, together with sampling plan - Building good data representation (mind mapping, logical data model,...) for supporting data such as: budget, cost, risk, schedule,... to make it easy to construct the plans - Balancing needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders with cost, schedule, and professional standards. - Evaluating the costs and benefits of selected quality objectives and the processes to be used to achieve objectives. ✰ Executing: Perform quality assurance - Gathering the results of quality control measurements. - Conducting quality audits (both scheduled and randomly) to identify some improvements can be made to the project in case you have unexpected, negative or whimsical trends in meas- urements.
