Hunza is a valley located in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan at an elevation of around 2,500 meters. The people of Hunza are known for their high literacy rate of over 95% and long lifespans averaging 90-115 years. They live humbly in the narrow mountains among the many peaks of the Karakorum range. A notable landmark is the 800-year-old Baltit Fort, which has received several conservation awards for its cultural and historic significance.
