Evaluation.
By Thaddeus O’Connor-Dunphie.
The Topic which I chose and how I
intended my audience to respond.
• The topic which I chose as you should know by now is Human
Rights and the reason why I chose this topic is because I don’t
think it is expressed enough which makes people not really
care or have much knowledge to what it is. And I think it’s
extremely useful to know what it is so that we can help put to
an end to it once and for all. I targeted men and woman and
people from different ethnicities and how they are treated
differently in work stations. I intended my response to be that
the audience would agree with me and then try to spread out
the message to spread even more awareness until eventually
there will be no more stories of people being mistreated in
work stations by their sex or race.
The effectiveness of my ideas- Poster
• I used many effective ideas which I took a huge amount of time preparing and
thinking about, so the first thing I did was create my campaign poster using
real life images of people that I took myself. I designed the background to look
like a work station to show how much effort I put in, the images of my pictures
that I took look really good and I got very good pictures. I created a title and
made it in bold and entered the text Human Rights Make Life Fair and then I
made another one and changed the colour to yellow which I put on top on the
other text which caused the text to look 3D. After that I created a white grid
and entered the text everybody is equal in black writing. Then after I had some
thought about it I went back onto the picture from Photoshop and I cropped
out the background and then I pasted it back into InDesign so that now it
looks like they are actually on the page and then I added a fair amount of
money being given out to them to show that everyone is happy and treated
and paid correctly no matter what their sex or ethnicity is. The text on my
poster design is san serif because it does not have any fancy swirls or twirls in
the text it is just nice, plain and simple which causes it to look big, bold and
stand out to the reader which is what I intended it to do in the first place
hence the reason I chose to use this font text rather than using serif font.
The effectiveness of my ideas-
Poster.
The effectiveness of my
ideas- TV advert.
For my TV advert I worked in a group with Onder, Aqueel and Fahim,
we booked the TV studio and all of the equipment which we needed and then
we began to film, we did it in interview and used the green screen as our
background we got people from different race, sex and age to clearly
show that this is targeted to everyone. Then we asked our questions to
our candidates and recorded it which we then began to edit, we had a
large amount of footage so we had to cut parts up and then we added a
soundtrack in the background and transitions when each cut was
being used.
The effectiveness of my ideas- Radio advert.
For my radio advert I worked with Onder again and we got a
microphone and went into Richards office where we recorded our
advert, We wrote a script so that we knew what we was going to say,
we used a interview format where Onder would ask me two questions
and I would answer, we then edited it by adding a sound track to the
background before uploading it.
How my campaign compares to
others.
• My campaign is very different to other peoples
because we have different topics of choice, my
topic was Human rights while other peoples had
different topics such as exercise, identity and many
more. So because of this there posters, TV adverts
and radio adverts where all very different to mine
because we was talking about different topics and
subjects. In addition to this some people created
their posters on Photoshop however the software
which I used was InDesign because I feel more
comfortable using it as I have my knowledge about
it and have more skills.
Group work.
• TV advert – In our TV advert I worked with Onder, Aqueel and
Fahim and we all had different roles so that we would all be
organised and be able to film successfully. The first thing we did
was book out the TV studio, that was Onders role then Fahims
role was to get all of the equipment which we would need to film,
I and Aqueel wrote down the script and questions that would be
asked. Then we all met at the TV studio on Friday at 1:50pm and
began to film, me and Fahim set up the camera while Onder and
Aqueel set up the lights and background and chair. Then after that
we got our candidates to interview and it was Onders job to ask
the questions and I also offered a role to be in the film and be one
of the candidates to answer the question, we had a role with the
camera as we all took turns recording then once it was all done
we began to edit and Onder did lots of the editing cutting out the
wrong parts, adding a sound track and uploading it to YouTube.
Group work.
• Radio advert- In our radio advert I only worked with Onder, and
I wrote down the script for what would be said in the radio
advert then Onder read through it and added some extra
information and corrected the mistakes, after that I got the
microphone from the office and then we went to Richards
office and did our recording I was being interviewed so Onder
gave an introduction and did the ending to the radio advert
after that we added a soundtrack in the background before
uploading it to sound cloud.
Conclusion
•In conclusion I think that my youth voice
project has been very successful however
there are many different improvements
which I could of made if I was to do it all
again but overall I am satisfied with the
work I have produced, and I tried my hardest
which is all you can do.
