2. Introduction
• The Human brain based circuit systems developed by the
stand ford engineers.
• This chips are manufactured based on the human brain.
• It is 9000 times faster then typical pc.
• It is manufactured with more energy efficient
• This offers greater possibilities for advances in robotics and a
new way of understanding the brain.

3. Working components
• Digital neurons-The artificial neurons which works same
like as human brain neurons manufactured by semi conductor
materials.
• Neuro core chips- This chips contains ‘N’ number of
digital neurons which connected together.
• Neurogrid- It has number of neuro core chips this system
contains 16 neuro core chips in a neuro grid.

4. construction
• A circuit board consisting of 16 custom-designed"Neurocore"
chips. Together these 16 chips can simulate 1 million neurons
and billions of synaptic connections.
• This system designed with high speed data transfer and more
energy efficiency.
• The size of the system is smaller than the Ipad.

5. Projects based on this
technology
• IBM's SyNAPSE Project – short for Systems of Neuromorphic
Adaptive Plastic Scalable Electronics.
• SyNAPSE involves a bid to redesign chips, code-named Golden
Gate, to emulate the ability of neurons to make a great many
synaptic connections – a feature that helps the brain solve
problems on the fly.
• This golden gate contains 256 digital neurons each equipped
with 1,024 digital synaptic circuits.

6. • Heidelberg University's BrainScales project has the ambitious
goal of developing analog chips to mimic the behaviors of
neurons and synapses.
• HICANN chip – short for High Input Count Analog Neural
Network
• It would be the core of a system designed to accelerate brain
simulations, to enable researchers to model drug interactions
that might take months to play out in a compressed time
frame.
• At present, the HICANN system can emulate 512 neurons each
equipped with 224 synaptic circuits

8. Speed and cost
• Initially fabrication technologies used for this system.
• Its cost above $40,000.
• Now the high simulated chips are used its cost is around $400
and is faster then the fabrication technology.
• This Neurogrid is about 100,000 times more energy efficient
than a personal computer simulation of 1 million neurons.
• The speed is 9000 times faster then pc.

9. Conclusion
• At present this technology in initial level. Still it can not reach
equal speed of human brain.
• This technology used in the humanoid robots.
• This technology used to know the critical connections
between the human cell neurons.
