5. My body is made up of basic
kinds of cells, such as blood
cells, muscle cells, fat cells,
nerve cells and skin cells. Each
kind of cell has special
features and jobs. All the cells
work together and make my
body run smoothly.

over 200 bones that forms its
strong framework, called
Skeleton. The chief function of
the skeleton is to work in
company with the muscles

For example, the elbow
straightens when the triceps
muscle draws together
while the elbow bends as
biceps muscle draws
together.

13. Digestion of the eaten food starts in the
mouth where the teeth grind it into a paste
and it slips down the throat easily. Thus the
food enters the food- pipe and is carried to
the stomach. Next, the food starts going
into the small intestine in small quantities.
The undigested food having water, minerals
and wastes passes on to the large intestine.
The wastes move down and leave the
body through the anus.

15. Blood is the life stream of the
human body. It supplies the
cells of the body with the food
and oxygen they need for
work and growth. It travels
around the body in narrow
tubes, called Blood Vessels.

17.  The 65% of the human body contains water.
 Exercise, such as lifting weights, makes
muscles bigger and stronger.
 When we smile we use 17 muscles and
when we frown we use 42 muscles.
 Blood seeping from a broken blood- vessel
turns the skin bluish a bit until the blood-
vessel heals.
 Tears are mildly antiseptic and can provide
protection to the eyes against bacteria.
