AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY
Once the excitement of creating a new journal has waned and publication has begun, a new challenge arises in sustainability. Augusta University first published their undergraduate research journal, Arsenal, through their institutional repository managed by the University Libraries in 2016. The Arsenal (ISSN 2380-5064 online) is a peer-reviewed, open-access interdisciplinary publication that is dedicated to publishing manuscripts resulting from Augusta University undergraduate research. Each paper published in the Arsenal undergoes a peer review process facilitated by the journal‘s Student Editorial Review Board and must be approved by an appointed faculty reviewer in the paper’s respective discipline. It is a student-run journal sponsored by the Center for Undergraduate Research & Scholarship (CURS) and published and managed by the University Libraries. The Arsenal serves as a great impetus for developing careers of nascent researchers.
Since the journal’s first publication in 2016, however, several unanticipated factors arose that have influenced continued publication. Some of these factors include changes on the student editorial board, faculty turnover, research agendas for mentoring faculty, and IRB requirements. Librarians from Augusta University will discuss some of the challenges that arose since initial publication and how the library adapted to these challenges. They will also discuss ways the library is bridging gaps to ensure continued publication of the journal, such as increasing marketing and promotion of the Arsenal to faculty and students, as well as developing further relationships with student organizations to ensure the Arsenal’s student-centered focus.
Revealing Social Bots with Coordinated Networks during US Political ConventionsDerek Weber
This document summarizes research into detecting social bot communities active on Twitter during the 2020 US Democratic and Republican national conventions. The researchers collected over 3 million tweets for each convention using keywords and tracked hashtags, retweets, and accounts. They analyzed bot scores, retweeting patterns, interaction networks and centralities to find coordinated bot-like accounts promoting news and political views. While few accounts directly engaged with these bot communities, their activity showed influence through information dissemination and amplification during the conventions. The researchers conclude bots were present and coordinated their behavior, though their direct impact on discussions is still unclear.
CCI Rhd Student Challenge Overview, Kate MorrisonCCI
The document summarizes the results of a student challenge held by CCI RHD from June 8th to 24th. Seventy-five students were invited to participate and 32% contributed ideas, comments, or votes. In total, 17 ideas, 26 comments, and 78 votes were generated. The top ideas focused on formal and informal professional development opportunities. The summary recommends establishing a steering committee of RHD students to determine priorities among the ideas and an action plan. Immediate volunteer-led projects like an online social network or writing groups are suggested to initiate without cost. Feedback on enhancing the idea generation process is requested.

Relevance & Research Question
To reliably automate processing of survey datasets – as we introduced in last year’s GOR – it is critical to reduce the ambiguity inherently contained in raw survey data. This, for example, includes the question whether a dimension is a meta, socio-demographic or a response variable; or the selection of which time dimension can be used for wave comparisons. To address this problem, we propose a set of standardized data annotations that enable automated processing across heterogeneous datasets. Our research question is thus to what extend annotations may facilitate more efficient and accurate survey data processing.
Methods & Data
After introducing Inspirient’s AI system for automated survey data processing at Kantar Public last year, we evaluated which steps of automated processing are most susceptible to ambiguities, thus obstructing efficient processing and leading to costly manual readjustments. We distilled these experiences into a set of data annotations that address these ambiguities and formalized them in DIN SPEC 32792. The updated AI system now incorporates these annotations in its internal reasoning process, and we evaluated their effectiveness in multiple real-world survey data processing tasks.
Results
Our results show that the proposed annotations can help facilitate fully automated processing of survey data without the need for iterative manual readjustments, e.g., for quality assurance and analytical evaluation, while maintaining quality and consistency of results. Examples included in our talk cover basic and advanced use, incl. socio-demographic / response annotations to generate contingency tables as well as dependent / independent variable annotations to automate multivariate regression analyses.
Added Value
Our work provides a foundation upon which more efficient automation / AI initiatives in the field of social research / survey analytics [...]

Research IT @ Illinois: Establishing Service Responsive to Investigator NeedsJohn Towns
The document summarizes a presentation given at the CNI Fall Members Meeting on December 12, 2016 in Washington, DC. The presentation discussed a year-long effort at the University of Illinois to better understand faculty needs and define a vision for cyberinfrastructure (CI) on campus. Methods included focus groups, surveys, and working groups. Key findings identified priorities around access to expertise, communications, data needs, and technology. Recommendations focused on improving support, services, and planning around research IT, computing, and data. The effort helped inform proposals to fund new CI resources but some items require further funding and development.
This presentation was provided by Scott Young and Sara Mannheimer during the NISO Webinar, Discovery and Online Search: Personalized Content, Personal Data held on June 19, 2019.
The document provides information about an August 3, 2020 forum held by the North American RDA Committee (NARDAC). It discusses NARDAC's role and membership, current RDA topics being addressed by the RDA Steering Committee such as representative expression elements and the new RDA Toolkit menu. It also provides updates from Library and Archives Canada on their cataloging policies and practices, and preparations for the new RDA Toolkit, including translating policy statements and the Toolkit into French. The final presentation discusses Library and Archives Canada's plans for translating the new RDA Toolkit interface and content into French.

Abstract:
Customer Wellness & Fitness reveals the major cycles and moments of joy and disappointment in strategic service outsourcing engagements. At the core of this thesis is applying the physician’s Hippocratic Oath to complex service engagements: “To Do No Harm.” Service agreements describing these engagements generally last anywhere from three years to ten years and represent hundreds of millions and at times billions of dollars of revenue over the contract period. We discover the first six months prior to contract signing and the first six months after contract signing represent a critical year. This is when the seeds are sown in the soil of the relationship for sustainable satisfaction and healthy performance or dissatisfaction and interaction illness. Developed diagnostics allow teams to understand if working together is on-track for success or will derail and wither early-on. Starting with inquiry and research for IBM clients and then observations with other enterprises and their clients value chain partners, there are observable patterns contributing to customer wellness and fitness across a constellation of enterprise activities. The good news: Most derailment factors are preventable. The bad news: Organization inertia and inappropriate incentives along with insufficient key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) whether delivered by people or platforms continue to plague strategic relationships.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
