Human resource management is needed for several reasons: to improve industrial relations through better understanding between management and employees; to increase organizational commitment; to adapt to changing business environments; to align with shifting political philosophies that now emphasize human resource development; to address increased pressures on employees from technology; and to meet research and development needs. HRM aims to help employees attain individual and organizational goals through training and development.
