Survey Report

No part of this publication may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means—electronic, mechanical,
photocopying, recording, or otherwise—without the permission of Emre Kavukcuoglu
Introduction
• The survey, which was conducted in July-August 2012, is based on
responses from 167 organizations across 7 continents.
• Aim of this research was to understand HR people support available in
the Organization in different sectors from all around the World.

• When analyzing data, we should keep in mind that this metric:
– is not showing the value received from HR Departments
– may not be considered as a strategic metric, however it gives an idea about
the effectiveness of the HR function, considering all other things being equal
– should not be considered as a mean for layoff in HR
– is dependent on different external factors such as technology usage in HR

• For this purpose, i have collected data related to company headcount and
HR department headcount by industry and by location.
• This report shows the detailed results extracted from the data provided
