Introduction
ā€¢Nowadays, data has become expanded wide and
uncertain that forced organizations to invest more
in the new Information Technology
infrastructures.
ā€¢ However, the quick growth of Big Data in
multiple domains such as:
1. Electronic commerce.
2. Government.
3. finance institution.
4. Insurance and medical.
ā€¢While, Business Intelligence in organizations has
become a significant technology for enhancing
business performance.
Definitions
Big Data (BD):
Is the collection of data from digital
and traditional sources inside and
outside an organization that represents
a source for ongoing analysis (Arthur,
2013).
Business Intelligence (BI):
It is refer to decision making,
knowledge management and
information analysis, they are also
often related with systems such as:
management information systems
(MIS), decision support systems (DSS),
and management support systems
(Olszak & Ziemba, 2012).
Independent variable (Big Data):
1. Havakhor (2016 ) study entitled ā€œBig Data and Organizational Impacts a
Study of Big Data Venturesā€.
2. Ashraf (2017) study entitled ā€œOrganizational Development and Big Data:
Factors that impact successful Big Data Implementationsā€.
Dependent variable (Business Intelligence):
1. Rosedahl (2016) study entitled ā€œBusiness Intelligence: Strategies for
Improving BI Adoptionā€.
2. Adamala & Cidrin (2011) study entitled ā€œKey Success Factors in Business
Intelligenceā€.

ā€¢ Big Data is measured in the terms of
independent variables (Volume,
Velocity and Variety) and determine
the impact of dependent variables of
Business Intelligence (Organizational,
Process and Technology).
Model & Hypothesis
Study Population & Sample
ā€¢The study sample consists of (312) out of
(1650) employees chosen through simple
random, who are working at Jordanian
Telecommunication Companies.
ā€¢Distributing (312) questionnaires through
employees working in three Jordanian
Telecommunications Companies (Zain,
Orange, and Umniah).
ā€¢ Therefore, (235) answered questionnaires
from study unit of analysis were valid for
study.

Volume:
ā€¢The statement ā€œBig Data volume is used to
reduce the incidence of crisesā€ With a high
Mean degree (4.17) showed that. Big Data
Volume enhance companies in their accurate
efforts
ā€¢The statement ā€œThe use of large data
increases work efficiencyā€ indicated low rank
with degree (3.61) Therefore, if this high
increase in volume doesn't plan it can
generate a lot of difficulties for the
companies.
Discussion Results
Velocity:
ā€¢High importance for the statement ā€œThe
Company has sufficient control over Big
Data velocityā€ with a degree of (3.90),
which indicated that the companies have
good skills to control over the velocity of
Big Data.
ā€¢The statement ā€œBig Data Velocity
increases work effectivenessā€ showed low
rank with degree (3.54) indicated that the
companies should give more efforts for
increasing the awareness for the
significance of the Big Data velocity.
Discussion Results
Variety:
ā€¢The Mean of ā€œBig Data Variety improves
the Business Intelligence processā€
showed a high degree (3.93), indicates
that the process of Business Intelligence
enhanced via the Variety of Big Data.
ā€¢Low rank of the statement ā€œUsing Big
Data Variety helps extract important
informationā€ indicates that the
companies shall require more
professionalā€™s skills for using technology.

Dependent variable (Business Intelligence):
Organizational:
ā€¢The statement ā€œThe company has supported
the use of Business Intelligence technologyā€,
High mean degree (3.85) showed that the
companies are supporting the using of Business
Intelligence technology.
ā€¢Lower Mean degree (3.66) for ā€œThe information
derived from Business Intelligence is easily
accessibleā€ indicates that to enhance the
companies process for making their decision,
they shall permit their staff to access Business
Intelligence technology.
Discussion Results
Process:
ā€¢The Mean of the statement ā€œThere is the right
skill to be able to process Business Intelligence
resultsā€ presented a high degree with (3.97)
indicated that the companies have high skills to
deals with Business Intelligence results.
ā€¢Lower Mean degree (3.40) for ā€œOur data
storage meets the demands of Business
Intelligence processingā€ indicate that to meet
the demands for the process of Business
Intelligence; the companies should improve the
storage of their data.
Discussion Results
Technology:
ā€¢The Mean of the statement ā€œUsing Business Intelligence
technology increases productivityā€ presented a high degree with
(3.78) which indicated that the productivity of the companies
increases by using Business Intelligence technology.
Conclusion
1. Real agreement within the Telecommunication
companies about the significance of Business
Intelligence and Big Data.
2. Staffs at Telecommunication companies in
Jordan believe on the importance of Big Data
Characteristics to improve Business Intelligence
factors.
3. The results show that Big Data has an impact on
Business Intelligence; this means that in order to
succeed the companies have to increase its Big
Data practices.
Recommendations
1. All employees at all levels should be adapted for Big
Data, and companies should support them to apply
the Big Data process in their daily work.
2. The researcher recommends the employees in the
companies to research about the impact of Big Data
on Business Intelligence since it influences in their
work efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Companies should use the Big Data characteristics to
provide objectivity and speed in accomplishing task.
4. The study recommends the telecommunication
companies to start to adapt using Big Data in order to
survive in the digitalized and dynamic markets.
Recommendations
The researcher recommended some future
studies as follows:
1. The study recommends other researchers to
explore other impacts of applying Big Data on
Business Intelligence.
2. Encourage others to conduct more researches and
studies in field of Business Intelligence in the
future.
3. Expanding the study of the impact of Big Data on
Business Intelligence by adding demographic
characteristics as an intermediate variable.
4. Exploring the others characteristics of Big Data and
their impact on Business Intelligence.

Introduction ā€¢Nowadays, data has become expanded wide and uncertain that forced organizations to invest more in the new Information Technology infrastructures. ā€¢ However, the quick growth of Big Data in multiple domains such as: 1. Electronic commerce. 2. Government. 3. finance institution. 4. Insurance and medical. ā€¢While, Business Intelligence in organizations has become a significant technology for enhancing business performance.
  • 4. Definitions Big Data (BD): Is the collection of data from digital and traditional sources inside and outside an organization that represents a source for ongoing analysis (Arthur, 2013). Business Intelligence (BI): It is refer to decision making, knowledge management and information analysis, they are also often related with systems such as: management information systems (MIS), decision support systems (DSS), and management support systems (Olszak & Ziemba, 2012).

  • 6. Study Problem ļƒ˜ Does Big Data Impact Business Intelligence? ļƒ˜ And to what extend does the Big Data impact Business Intelligence?

Study Significant ā€¢Demonstrate the impact of Big Data on Business Intelligence at Jordanian Telecommunication Companies. ā€¢ Big Data is measured in the terms of independent variables (Volume, Velocity and Variety) and determine the impact of dependent variables of Business Intelligence (Organizational, Process and Technology).

Study Population & Sample ā€¢The study sample consists of (312) out of (1650) employees chosen through simple random, who are working at Jordanian Telecommunication Companies. ā€¢Distributing (312) questionnaires through employees working in three Jordanian Telecommunications Companies (Zain, Orange, and Umniah). ā€¢ Therefore, (235) answered questionnaires from study unit of analysis were valid for study.

Big Data Volume enhance companies in their accurate efforts ā€¢The statement ā€œThe use of large data increases work efficiencyā€ indicated low rank with degree (3.61) Therefore, if this high increase in volume doesn't plan it can generate a lot of difficulties for the companies.
  • 18. Discussion Results Velocity: ā€¢High importance for the statement ā€œThe Company has sufficient control over Big Data velocityā€ with a degree of (3.90), which indicated that the companies have good skills to control over the velocity of Big Data. ā€¢The statement ā€œBig Data Velocity increases work effectivenessā€ showed low rank with degree (3.54) indicated that the companies should give more efforts for increasing the awareness for the significance of the Big Data velocity.
  • 19. Discussion Results Variety: ā€¢The Mean of ā€œBig Data Variety improves the Business Intelligence processā€ showed a high degree (3.93), indicates that the process of Business Intelligence enhanced via the Variety of Big Data. ā€¢Low rank of the statement ā€œUsing Big Data Variety helps extract important informationā€ indicates that the companies shall require more professionalā€™s skills for using technology.
  • 20. Discussion Results Dependent variable (Business Intelligence): Organizational: ā€¢The statement ā€œThe company has supported the use of Business Intelligence technologyā€, High mean degree (3.85) showed that the companies are supporting the using of Business Intelligence technology. ā€¢Lower Mean degree (3.66) for ā€œThe information derived from Business Intelligence is easily accessibleā€ indicates that to enhance the companies process for making their decision, they shall permit their staff to access Business Intelligence technology.

Discussion Results Process: ā€¢The Mean of the statement ā€œThere is the right skill to be able to process Business Intelligence resultsā€ presented a high degree with (3.97) indicated that the companies have high skills to deals with Business Intelligence results. ā€¢Lower Mean degree (3.40) for ā€œOur data storage meets the demands of Business Intelligence processingā€ indicate that to meet the demands for the process of Business Intelligence; the companies should improve the storage of their data.
  • 22. Discussion Results Technology: ā€¢The Mean of the statement ā€œUsing Business Intelligence technology increases productivityā€ presented a high degree with (3.78) which indicated that the productivity of the companies increases by using Business Intelligence technology.
  • 23. Conclusion 1. Real agreement within the Telecommunication companies about the significance of Business Intelligence and Big Data. 2. Staffs at Telecommunication companies in Jordan believe on the importance of Big Data Characteristics to improve Business Intelligence factors. 3. The results show that Big Data has an impact on Business Intelligence; this means that in order to succeed the companies have to increase its Big Data practices.
  • 24. Recommendations 1. All employees at all levels should be adapted for Big Data, and companies should support them to apply the Big Data process in their daily work. 2. The researcher recommends the employees in the companies to research about the impact of Big Data on Business Intelligence since it influences in their work efficiency and effectiveness. 3. Companies should use the Big Data characteristics to provide objectivity and speed in accomplishing task. 4. The study recommends the telecommunication companies to start to adapt using Big Data in order to survive in the digitalized and dynamic markets.
  • 25. Recommendations The researcher recommended some future studies as follows: 1. The study recommends other researchers to explore other impacts of applying Big Data on Business Intelligence. 2. Encourage others to conduct more researches and studies in field of Business Intelligence in the future. 3. Expanding the study of the impact of Big Data on Business Intelligence by adding demographic characteristics as an intermediate variable. 4. Exploring the others characteristics of Big Data and their impact on Business Intelligence.
