area. Responsiblefor providinghigh-level supportin the administration of a human resources program.

1. Acts as an internal consultantby analyzingand recommending solutions to human resource
issues relatingto area of responsibility.

2. Administers various human resourceplans and procedures for employees and assistsin the
development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.

3. Performs recruitment functions,administers thenew hire pre-employment processes, and
efficiently manages onboardingin the pursuitof increased retention and productivity.

4. Administers benefit enrollment, employee leave requests, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation,
and disability requests.
X
5. Maintains Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records,entering new hire
information,changes in employee demographics,and separation information.
X
6. Ensures compliancewith established policies and procedures for the area of responsibility. X
7. Prepares and maintains special internal and external reports as requested. X
8. Answers routine requests for information on policy interpretation,benefits, recruitment
needs, and compliance. Provides high quality customer serviceto all employees,vendors,
applicants,and the public.

9. Assists with developing,coordinatingand recommending changes for the improvement of
workflow.

10. Develops methods and procedures to ensure compliancein assigned area. X

11. Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliancewith legal
requirements.

12. Leads special and cross-functional projectteams when requested, includingcompany-wide
events or meetings.

13. Assists in thedevelopment and presentation of internal trainingsessions and orientations. X
14. Attends meetings, conferences and seminars applicableto job area and as requested. X
15. Participates in professional development sessionsor seminars. X
16. Participates in developingdepartment goals,objectives and systems. X
17. Provides backup supportto receptionistas needed. X
18. Promotes a safety firstattitude by setting a positiveexample and ensuringall employees are
followingsafety policies and procedures.

19. Works in collaboration with variousdepartments to manage OSHA requirements, including
incidentinvestigations,reporting,and employee training.

Education Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources,or equivalent experience
 5+ years experience as a generalistin human resources
Knowledge,Skills,& AbilitiesNeededtoPerformEffectivelyinthisPosition
 Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
 Prior experience with an HRIS databasepreferred
 Ability to effectively and clearly communicateverbally and in writing
 Ability to listen attentively to customers to figure out what is needed/requested
 Ability to stay patient and maintain a calmpresencein stressful situations
 Skill in providingcustomer-focused outcomes
 Skill in attention to details
 Skill in operatingMicrosoftOfficeproducts
 Time management skills and ability to prioritizecontinually
