Editor's Notes

  • #4 Your service provider is managing the hardware, software, maintenance, electric, cooling, and real estate, etc so you don’t have to, offering scalability to business customers who would not be able to
  • #8 If you haven’t upgraded your phone system in the last five years, it’s probably time to upgrade! Your old, inefficient system could be dragging down productivity. The following signs are indications that your old phone system is keeping your business from being as productive, mobile, cost-efficient and secure as it should be:
  • #9 With traditional PBX in the closet the user faces annual maintenance costs, firmware and software updates (with added costs), upgrade costs to add additional users, features and technologies
  • #10 Do not have to manage a pbx provider and a service provider, consolidates the number of vendors to manage and pay and coordinate meetings with
  • #11 Add new employees, fax lines, locations, etc What is the business-continuity plan for your phone system in the case of disaster? What happens to calls if the power goes out? With a new phone system your calls can be re-routed to another location or to cell phones so that business can continue, without disruption. That means customers won’t be inconvenienced and you can continue business to keep profit margins up.
  • #12 Does your current phone system enable you to quickly, easily add or remove extensions or users? With a new system, especially for organizations with growth plans or with seasonal changes in staffing, you would easily be able to scale up and down, as needed. If actions like adding or removing users and resetting passwords aren’t quick and easy on your existing phone system, you should think seriously about moving to a new one.
  • #13 Does your current system integrate with your organization’s customer relationship management (CRM) system? Does it integrate with IM, web conferencing and video calling? In business today, you need every competitive advantage. With a new, hosted phone system, you can integrate with other applications, including CRMs as well as conduct web conferences and video calls.
  • #15 Workforce more productive b/c of all the features available and the integrations with applications such as a CRM tool (sugar, salesforce, etc) or unified messaging Do you have to pay a fee every time you need to make a change to your phone system? How much does your business spend on upgrades and support each year? If you’re spending a lot on maintenance and support costs for a premise-based phone system, you should consider moving to a cloud-based phone system. A new cloud-based phone system offers lower total cost of ownership (TCO) and you would pay a predictable monthly fee.
  • #17 Does your phone system enable road warriors and on-the-go executives to remain connected to the office? Can you transfer calls to employees, regardless if you are forwarding to their desk or mobile devices? For people on the road, enhanced communications capabilities are critical. With a new system, your employees can provide one phone number where they can always be reached. And it doesn’t matter where people are -- on the road, at a coffee shop or at their desk. Does your phone system support multiple offices? Telecommuters? Can the system be remotely managed? Are you able to administer extensions for remote users as easily as if they were onsite? If the answer was, “No,” you need to rethink things. With a new phone system, your organization can accommodate satellite offices and remote employees easily and affordably.
  • #23 Did this seem all too real? Stop putting up with inferior technology. Invest in a new, cloud-based phone system. It’s affordable and it’ll help your business be more productive … and profitable.
