• Ensures you are
actively listening to
what the teacher is
saying
• Requires you to think
about what you are
writing
• Helps you make
connections between
topics
• Serves as quality
review material for
after class.
5. It uses headings and bullet
points to organize topics.
• Allows notes to be neatly
organized.
• It is easy to see the relationship
between topics and subtopics.
• It is easy to turn points into study
questions.
Each section starts with a heading of
the main topic. Each subtopic and
supporting fact is written underneath
the proper heading 5
6. It helps organize class notes into
easily digestible summaries.
1.Use the main notes section to take
notes during class.
2.Use the cues section to review your
notes. After class, write down things
you’ll need to remember and a prompt
for each. You can also use this section
for vocabulary words and study
questions.
3.In the summary segment at the bottom,
write a summary of your notes. This is
where you will highlight the main points.
The paper is divided into 3
sections:

7. It is a more visual way to
organize your class
notes.
• This method is useful for visual
learners who struggle with
studying from notes.
• It helps you remember and
connect relationships between
topics
The page is organized by topic. The
main topics branch out into subtopics
with detailed information about each.

8. It’s one of the easiest ways to take
notes, and comes pretty naturally
to most people.
• When taking your outline notes, start
by choosing four or five key points
that will be covered in your lecture.
Beneath those points write some
more in-depth sub-points about each
topic as the professor covers them.
Each line on the page is a new and
separate topic. To organize your
notes even more, you can use
headings for each main topic.
8
9. • Charting note taking method
uses columns to organize
information. This method is
useful for lessons that cover a
lot of facts or relationships
between topics.
10. • Facts are organized and
easy to review.
• Highlights key pieces of
information for each
topic.
11. • The page is divided into
columns labeled by
category. The details of
each category are filled out
in the rows below.
12. • When information about a category
is mentioned, jot it down
underneath the proper column.
• When the next topic begins move
down one row and begin again.
13. Flow-Based Notetaking. Flow-
based notetaking is a radical
departure from the way most
people are taught to take notes.
It's a powerful technique for
accelerating your learning while
listening to audio or in a lecture.
14. • Writing additional notes on the side of
the page or underneath the lecture
slides can save you a significant
amount of time during class, allowing
you to focus more on what the teacher
is saying and less on the need to write
everything down.
15. • The quality of your notes will
however depend on the lecturer’s
slide and what information they have
included. You want to still make sure
that your slides contained all of the
relevant information and are detailed
enough for you to rely on when
creating your weekly summaries.
16. The Bullet Journal is a system
(framework) that allows you to
organize the lists of tasks in a
specific way and focused on
results.
17. • The Index
• The Future Log
• The Monthly Log
• The Daily Log.
18.
19. • The second double page is
the future log (something like
"record of the future"). You
have to divide each page into
3, to create 6 months:
20. The next double page is dedicated to
the months. The monthly view is divided
into two: on the left the calendar, on the
right the list of tasks. You will have to
manually add the months of the year.
Then on the left, write the number the
letter of each day of the month. On the
right you will point the tasks to be
performed in that month. A bullet must
be added before each task.
21. Write the day, then your to-do list.
It is important to subdivide the
tasks into at least these 3 main
types, each characterized by a
different symbol. What the author
proposes are only suggestions,
since you can use the symbol you
want, as long as you always use
them.
