Let’s begin…

Open a Browser

Click on the Search bar

Go to www.getdrip.com

Drip homepage

Options of
pricing
licenses will
appear

For this tutorial, we’ll select
Starter

Fill in the
necessary data
required

Click on NEXT STEP

Fill in the
necessary
credit card
information

Click on START USING DRIP

Fill in the
necessary
data required

Click on
Next Step

Additional
questions will
appear,
answer the
questions

Click on
Next Step

A pop-up box will open…

…instructing you to
install a
JavaSript

The Java Script
Snippet is needed to
integrate Drip and
Wordpress

Click on Wordpress

An instruction for installing to
Wordpress appears

Take note of your Account ID

You will need the
ACCOUNT ID
on Wordpress

Now we need to
install GetDrip
plugin
to Wordpress

Log in your
Wordpress
account

Click on
Log In

On
Dashboard,
Click on
Appearance

Hover the cursor to Plugins

Click on Add New

Click on the Search bar

Type in Email marketing by
Drip

Click on
Install Now

Click on Activate

You will be
redirected
to Drip
Settings

Type in
Your
Account ID
found in
your Drip
Account

Click on
Save
Changes

It will indicate
Settings saved

Installing the code
will enable Drip to
track subscribers
activity

On your Drip
window…

…click on Click
here to move
along

Click on
Set my
account!

We need to change
the default email to
comply with DMARC
policy

Click on Go to account
settings…

DMARC Policy
requires the use of
a business email

For this tutorial
I will use Google
Business Email

Creating a Google
Business Email

Go to www.google.com

Type in google apps for work

Click on
Google.com – Google Apps
for Work

Click on Start Free Trial

Fill in the necessary info

Click on Next

You must already
have a Domain
Name for you to
continue

Tick on Use a domain name I
already have purchased

Type in your
domain

Click on Next

Type in the necessary info

Click on Accept
and sign up

Wait until set up is finish

This will appear

Click on START

Option to
Add people
will appear

Type in the
people you
want to
add

Click on
ADD

You need to verify
your domain and set
up your email

This will
appear

Click on
Choose a
different
method

Click on Add a domain host
record (TXT or CNAME)

Click on DOWNLOAD THE
HTML VERIFICATION FILE

Once
Download
is done…

Tick on I downloaded the
HTML verification file

An instruction to upload will
appear

Go to the
Control Panel
of your
domain

Click on
Log in

Click on File Manager under
Files

Tick on Document Root For:

Click on your domain name

Click on Go

This will appear

Click on Upload

Click on Choose File

Click on the HTML File

Click on Open

Once upload is complete…

Click on Go Back to…

The file has been uploaded

Tick on I uploaded the HTML
verification file

Go to the control panel of
your domain

Click on Advanced DNS Zone
Editor

Fill in the necessary info

Click on Add Record

The system successfully
added then record

Tick on I
created the
new MX
records

Delete existing records on
your hostgator

Once done tick on I have
deleted existing MX records

Tick on I saved the MX
records

Click on VERIFY AND SET UP
EMAIL

Wait until verification finishes

Once verified, Click on Next

Click on Continue

This will appear

You can choose to
avail of their plan
or…

…continue to use
the free trial for a
while

Click on Cancel

Click on START SETUP

It will indicate that Domain is
verified succesfuly

Click on Next

Set up billing before trial
ends

On your Drip
account,

Go to Settings

Fill in the information

Change your
email to
Google
Business
Email

Click on Save Settings

Drip Dashboard will open

You need to
connect API

On your
Wordpress site,

Click on
Thrive
Dashboard

Click on API Connections
MANAGEMENT
CONNECTIONS

Click on
Add new
Connection

Click on
Select an
app

Click on Drip

You will be
asked for a
Client ID and
API token

Go to your
Drip account

This is the Client ID on the url

For the API token,

Click on Settings

Click on
My User
Settings

This is your
API Token

On your
wordpress site

Fill in the
Client ID and
API token

Click on
Connect

You have
successfully
connected the
API
