How Did Julius Caesar Fall
Gaius Julius Caesar, was born in 100 BC, he was the son of a upper class family. His father s sister
was the wife of General Marius. Caesar married his daughter Cinna, in 76. They had a daughter named
Julia. Then, 8 years later she died. He supported the successful Commander s Pompey and Crassus.
He gained the biggest success of his career by being elected chief priest in 63. Three years later, he
made the first informal threesome. Between 58 and 51 he conquered central and northern Gaul as far
as the Rhine. When he got to the Rhine river, he built a bridge in ten days, which he used to cross the
river. In 55 and 54 he conducted two investigations of Britain. When this was happening, the
threesome began to fall because of resentfulness. When Julia died. The two began to hate each other.
They were also mad because Crassus disappeared. He was killed by the Parthians. ... Show more

In 49, the end of the republic was near. Caesar overran Italy. This did not prevent Pompeii from
leaving his forces to Greece. Caesar returned to Spain. He defeated the Pompeian army at llerda. After
returning to Italy, he left for the Balkans. He beat Pompeii at Pharsalus in Thessaly. Then, he fled to
Egypt and was killed by the government of the young king, Ptolemy XIII. Caesar followed him to
Egypt. After he and Cleopatra married, he fought the Alexandrian war against the king. The king was
killed in 47. Next, he beat the king Pharmasis in Asia minor. Later, he moved to north Africa. Four
months later, he beat Pompeii sons Cnaeus and Sextus at Thapsus. He went back to Rome to celebrate.
Then, Cleopatra came to join him. He did not stay in Rome long. He went to Spain and fought his last

My Career Goal ( Your Career Goals )
1. Career Goals (Your career goals) She was a five year old girl with skinny chicken legs, oversized
glasses, and the most contagious smile you ve ever seen. Every morning for three years, it was this
smiling face that greeted me with an obnoxious wave and anxious enthusiasm as I drove up a long
gravel driveway to a small farmhouse in Granite Falls, Minnesota. As a teen, I worked as a personal
care assistant for young clients suffering physical and intellectual delays. It was the morning I was
pulling in for my final shift that I recognized that helping this little girl reach her full potential by
aiding in her daily activities was a small stepping stone to reaching my goal of earning my doctorate
degree in nursing. Although it was on that specific day that I determined I would pursue a career in
advanced nursing, I have been in love with learning and the healthcare industry for as long as I can
remember. From learning to ride a bike to starting my first IV, I have always blissfully awaited every
lesson and anxiously sought to conquer its content. My intellectual curiosity has continuously driven
me to seek out more knowledge and I ve regularly employed my focus and commitment skills to grasp
complex issues and ideas. My primary goal for completing the graduate program is to obtain the
knowledge and skills necessary to assume a more autonomous role in healthcare. My hope is that by
attending graduate school, I will be immersed into an intellectual environment surrounded by

There Are Good Men And Great Men Essay
There are good men and great men. When it comes to choosing leaders, it often seems that the will of
the people often will back the man they perceive to not just be good, but great. Great in what though?
Whether the people have a choice of their leader or are forced into living under the command of their
leader, people will more times than not, more willingly summit themselves to the rule of a great man
rather than a man who is simply good or on the other end a tyrant. Cyrus the Great, as portrayed by
historian Xenophon in The Education of Cyrus shows perhaps one of the greatest leaders of the
ancient world, especially in the region of the modern day Middle East. Xenophon describes to his
reader the renowned and extremely loved character of Cyrus as both a conqueror and as an emperor.
In seeing Cyrus as a military ruler and as a ruler over a vast nation, Cyrus appears to be the perfect
man for modern day, Republican politics. Through the dissection of the character of Cyrus, laid out by
Xenophon, both as a conquer and as an emperor, it becomes evident that Cyrus, if alive today, would
prove to be the perfect leader of the people of the free world. As president, there are two major roles
that encompass all other roles that the person who takes the position must be able to balance:
commander in chief to the armed forces and leader of the people of the nation. These roles of the
president, parallel with the roles that Cyrus played as both conquer and emperor. In both these

Bravo Company Ethical Dilemma
2. The ethical dilemma presented to me while in command of Bravo Company is that 1LT Urbanks
took three dead lined trucks to support missions. I reminded him earlier in the week to fix those
vehicles. Prior to this SSG Jones (B. Co Head Mechanic) was killed causing a delay in the upkeep of
our vehicles. 3. First Course of Action: Verbally counsel 1LT Urbanks. During this counseling we will
discuss the dangerous of the actions he took. Dead lined vehicles receive those classification because
they are found incapable of completing a mission a. Taking those three vehicle to conduct the support
mission put his soldiers and the mission at risk b. However, for 1LT Urbanks the mission was his first
priority regardless of the setbacks. He display his commitment to the warrior ethos and our military s
values. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Second Course of Action: Initiate a formal counseling to 1LT Urbanks. The focus of this counseling
will be on the negligence of his actions. 1LT Urbanks was reminded earlier in the week to fix those
vehicles. He neglected to do so. Also, during this counseling we will discuss the many alternative
courses of actions he could have conducted that could have prevented him from taking those vehicles
out. a. His decision could have caused more damage to government property as well as placing his
soldiers at risk. b. Formal counseling holds 1LT Urbanks accountable. Rules/standards are employed
for a reason. Initiating a formal counseling set a standard and will prevent that incident from
happening again. 5. Third Course of Action: Upon 1LT Urbanks arrival, I will remove the vehicles
from his control. I will then issue a formal counseling because of the potential harm he could have
cause to his soldiers and government equipment. I will also cancel the mission because we are not
capable of completing the mission

Summary Of Topic Of Cancer By Christopher Hitchens
Topic of Cancer by Christopher Hitchens is a depressing and absorbing essay, his use of pathos and his
euphemisms were amazing and sneakily used.
Christopher Hitchens studied at Harvard which showed he was a talented writer and user of the
English language, and attacked many sources of media, following extremes such as writing critical
pieces on Bill Clinton and Mother Teresa which he felt very negative and strongly on. His purpose of
this piece was to describe his life changing illness, and try to connect with the reader on an emotional
level that was unmatched.
The audience of this piece was young adults who could relate to the sense of success of his bestseller

JFK and JAMES GARFIELD Assassinations
Introduction
There have been numerous attempts of assassinations on seating presidents of the United States. There
have been about 20 attempts to kill not only sitting presidents but also sitting presidents, and also
president elects. Among the presidents, gunshot has killed them Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield,
William McKinley and John F. Kennedy. Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan are United States
Presidents that were injured during assassination attempts. All the other presidents of America from
John Kennedy have gone through attempts of assassinations. The majority of this assassination cases
are connected to political ambitions with some cases being connected to political gains (Clerk, 2007).
In this paper, the assassination of James Garfield and John F. Kennedy will be covered.
James Garfield Assassination
Before four months passed after the inauguration of President Garfield he arrived at the railroad depot
in Washington on 2nd of July, 1881, to get a train for a retreat of summer on the seashore of New
Jersey. As he was going to the station, Charles Gateau runs from the shadows and shot him twice. One
of the bullets grazed the president s arm while the other bullet was lodged in his stomach. The
president exclaimed My God, what is this? as he collapsed on the while all along being fully
conscious, yet in very great pain (Bliss, 2010)

Luhrmann The Great Gatsby
It s the newness that Luhrmann seems to bring to his movies, most notably Moulin Rouge and Romeo
+ Juliet, that grabs the attention most immediately. In calibrating our expectations for Gatsby, it s
interesting to look at the last classic work he adapted, the 1996 Leo DiCaprio/Claire Danes feature
based on the Shakespearean play. A lot of adaptations of Shakespeare s work try to do what Luhrmann
does, reimagining the story in a contemporary setting, and they re met with varying degrees of
success. Even stranger is Luhrmann s word for word retention of the Shakespearean dialogue,
resulting in a bizarre juxtaposition of old language and new technology and surroundings. This is also
kind of the perfect story for Luhrmann s attitude. There s

Quadratic Residues Essay
An Identity based Encryption Scheme based on Quadratic Residues Introduction: In Public Key
Crypto system, it is required to know the Public Key of Receiver to encrypt the messages. So that
receiver can decrypt the message using his/her own private key. This system needs to maintain
directories which holds Public Keys of each user. To eliminate the need of maintaining such
directories, this paper suggests computing the public key using receiver s identity such as Email
address. However, implementation of such system which is secure and practical, is difficult. The
system uses Quadratic Residues modulo a large composite integer. [2] What is Quadratic Residues? If
m and a are coprime integers, then a is called a quadratic residue modulo ... Show more content on

Hence, a is square modulo of M. Also, P and Q are congruent to 3 mod 4, ( 1/P)=( 1/Q)= 1 Thus, a or a
will be Quadratic Residues modulo P and Q. Only authority can determine the square root of modulo
M and provide it to Alice. Here, we call it r r=a^((M+5 (P+Q))/8) mod M Where, r^2=a mod M or
r^2= a mod M If Bob wants to send data to Alice, he will generate a Transport key and perform
Symmetric Key Encryption using that key. Then, he sends it to Alice bit by bit. Let s say, x is the
single bit of transport key, coded as +1 or 1. Bob will choose a value t at a random modulo M, such
that Jacobi Symbol (t/M)=x Then, he sends s=(t+a/t)mod M to Alice Alice recovers the bit x as
follows, s+2r=t (1+r/t)* (1+r/t) mod M Also, it follows Jacobi Symbol ((s+2r)/M)=(t/M)=x Here,
Alice knows the value of r, using that she will calculate value of x Bob need to double up the Key data
as he is not aware whether Alice uses root of a or a. He will select random t to send x bits, and send s=
(t a/t)mod M. There is no way to avoid sending this extra amount of data. [2] Practical Implementation
Aspects: System is not very much expensive in terms of computation. If transport key is K bits long,
then Alice need to compute K Jacobi Symbols and Bob will need to compute K divisions mod M and
K Jacobi Symbols. Issue: Each bit of Transport key requires size up to M for bandwidth. Bob Does not
know whether Alice uses square root of a or a, hence, he must

How To Survived The RMS Titanic
On Monday, 15th April 1912, the RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg near Newfoundland at
11:40 pm and sank approximately two and a half hours later because of the severe damage the iceberg
caused.
The world s biggest ship was only five days into her maiden voyage from Southampton to
New York when the disastrous catastrophe took place. From the 2200 passengers, only 600 of them
are estimated to have survived the tragedy. When the Cunard liner RMS Caparthia arrived two hours
later the greatest ship known to men had vanished completely. What they saw shocked them to the
core: There was chaos all around. People were freezing to death, already dead people were floating on
the water. The people in the lifeboats were crying, screaming and trying ... Show more content on

It was horrible! said a member of the Caparthia s crew.
There were children drowning and mothers crying for help.
As of today, the investigations are still ongoing, nevertheless, experts believe that many safety
precautions hadn´t been taken properly. One of the more serious safety problems was the lack of
lifeboats on board. The way the ship was designed did not allow enough space for the amount of
lifeboats that would have been required to save every single passenger.
As a result, the first class passengers were granted a seat in a lifeboat primarily. A lot of the third and
second class passengers, however, didn t even survive their way out of their cabins.
One of the few second class survivors was Mary Donahugh: I thought I was going to die.
The water in the cabins rose higher and higher and it felt like millions of tiny needles piercing through
my skin. She lost her husband and her two children that night.
The sinking of Titanic will always be one of the biggest disasters on sea the world has ever seen.
Hopefully, new technologies will continue to shed a light on further puzzle pieces of what happened
that night. Only time will tell, how a ship, that was built to be unsinkable, found its way to the bottom
of the Atlantic Ocean in a tragedy that claimed the life of over

Everyone was excited to be going to Dorney Park on August 30th. We had to bring money for food
and swim suits for the wild water kingdom. It was an hour and a half bus ride. On the bus we did
challenges. Someone brought 4 bags of hot Cheetos so we got in to 4 teams of 2 and each team got a
bag a Cheetos. These Cheetos were in the big bag and they were the puffs. We had to eat the whole
bag before 5 minutes. Our hand were bright red. Tiara and I were on the same team. When five

Lights Out Lab Report
The purpose of this project is to solve the game of Light s Out! by using basic knowledge of Linear
algebra including matrix addition, vector spaces, linear combinations, and row reducing to reduced
echelon form. | Lights Out! is an electronic game that was released by Tiger Toys in 1995. It is also
now a flash game online. The game consists of a 5x5 grid of lights. When the game stats a set of lights
are switched to on randomly or in a pattern. Pressing one light will toggle it and the lights adjacent to
it on and off. The goal of the game is to switch all the lights off in as few button presses as possible. In
the folling examples, 1 will represent a on light and 0 will represent an off light. Yellow represents a

Phillip had remained proud of himself, cocky even over the performance he had serenaded on Kylee.
It was out of character for him to do such a thing, but he had obviously been out of character lately,
and now he could add actor to his list of ever growing attributes. As he whistled his way home he was
sure that, right at that very moment, due to his compelling persuasion, Kylee was most likely already
talking to either, Brooke Adkins or Vera Sutton, informing them of what had just happened to her as
she stood out in front her church after Saturday school s dismissal. And without a doubt, sugar coating

what could perhaps go wrong with their plan. He remained in this taciturn and distant state even as
Cassidy and Phillip neared and then stood before him staring befuddled over his comatose nature.
Inez! Cassidy said for a third time which finally worked to bring him around. Are we ready to do this?
Inez leaned his head back and let it then lull circularly on shoulders as if trying to release stored
tension. He then pulled his long black hair back tying it off with an old rubber band. Let s do this, he
then said as he marched off past Phillip and Cassidy making his way over to a large pull cart he had

In this paper I have defined accrual and cash basis accounting. Also, I have answered the following
questions: Explain the difference between the accrual basis of accounting and the cash basis of
accounting. What are the major reasons for using accrual accounting? What are the purpose of a
journal and a ledger? Give an example of a contra asset, and explain how it is recorded on the ledger
as a transaction. Explain what a prepaid expense is and how it is recorded on the ledger as a

A prepaid expense, such as rent or insurance, is a type of current asset. It is recorded by decreasing
Cash and increasing the prepaid amount by the same amount. Thus, the transaction only occurs in the
Asset section of the Balance Sheet, and it is a zero sum transaction.
What are the major differences in recording transactions for a for profit organization versus a not for
profit, or are there any? For profit organization would record certain transactions under Owner s
Equity, whereas the Not for Profit would use Net Assets. Also, a for profit would not show restrictions
on Owners Equity.

The Adventures of Ibn Battuta by Ross E. Dunn
The book I chose to read for this summer assignment was The Adventures of Ibn Battuta (Revised
edition) written by Ross E. Dunn. The predominant reason as to why I chose this book is because I am
Moroccan descent and I had a strong desire to learn more about the rich cultures of the Arab world. I
once read that those who had the last name Bencomo, which was orginally from the Canary Islands
and written as Tehncomo were descendents of the Islamic traveler, Ibn Battuta. This sparked even
more curiosity to learn about my ancestor s history. I heard stories from my grandmother about the
Moors since her father was half Moroccan. I knew I had to learn about this since this is a part of who I
am.
This book mainly narrates the adventures and travels of a 14th century Muslim scholar, native of
Tangier who studied law but dreamed of traveling and seeing different perspectives of the world. Ibn
is described by many as the Marco Polo of the Muslim world. Ibn traveled by all means possible
during his time period, horse, camel, boat, foot, and boat for approximately 29 years. The area he
covered would now be the equivalent to 40 modern countries and 73,000 miles. Quotes I found most
interesting were A scholar s education is greatly improved by traveling in quest of knowledge and
meeting the authoritative teachers (of his time). by Ibn Khaldun pg. 27. This was quite inspiring
because it shows that with an open mind and many travels you can age with wisdom and share your
knowledge with

America began to collapse, causing the nation to suffer greatly. Allowing people to escape from the
harsh, real world, movies and films gained popularity. One of the most notable aspects of the
television was the transformation from black and white to colored television, which was iconic for
people living in America. THESIS Movies such as The Wizard of Oz focused on bright eye catching
colors to excite the audience. The Wizard of Oz sparked an enduring effect on many films after, such
as Under the Rainbow, Wild at Heart, The Wiz, and Road to Oz. The universal message of The Wizard
of Oz is that home can be the best place to solve problems. At the end of the movie, Dorothy claims
that she has everything she needs at home. My heart s desire is in my own backyard (Baum). Here,
Dorothy is stating that home provides a sense of hope. During the depression, this was especially
important because people needed to know that there was a better life ahead of the financial crisis that

Prostate Cancer And Its Effects On African Americans
Prostate Cancer in Brooklyn

Professor Dr. McDuffie
Prostate cancer originates in the male prostate gland. Cancers in this gland are the most common
malignancies, which grow very slowly, and can have minimal effect on a man s quality of life.
However, a tumor in the prostate gland can be problematic for men, especially black men, even
though it is only about the size of a walnut. Located below the bladder and in front of the rectum, the
prostate provides the fluid that nourishes and protects sperm cells in the semen. Researchers are still
debating the cause of this disease, although certain risk factors such as age, ethnicity, culture,
environment, diet, and family history, increase the chance of getting it. Prostate cancer affects African
American men and early screening and detection are the key factors that can be used to prevent
mortality and reduce morbidity, especially in the Brooklyn area. Prostate cancer is the second leading
cause of cancer death in African American men and has the highest reported mor¬tality rate, which is
2.4 times higher than in Caucasian men or any racial or ethnic group in the United States, according to
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC; 2014). African American males, including
those from Jamaica, a Caribbean Island, have the highest prostate cancer incidence rates worldwide.
The reason for this is not clear, but may reflect genetic factors that vary in populations

A Character Analysis Of Flipped
Have you ever met a person like Bryce Loski? If you have, I feel bad for you. Well sure everybody in
Flipped has a different mindset, but no one has a mindset like Bryce. In Flipped, by Wendelin Van

want to say he has a growth mindset, you should read Flipped again. What can I say about Bryce
Loski and his mindset? Oh Boy!! I can say a lot alright. In the beginning of Flipped, Bryce hasn t even

Bill Burke Research Paper
Bill Burke is an excellent example of the quote, Be brave enough to travel the unknown path, and
learn what you are capable of. Bill Burke was brave enough to climb Everest from the Tibet side, and
then from the Nepal side where he made his second summit. Bill Burke has accomplished many of his
goals for his lifetime, including climbing up the dangerous Mount Everest.
Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world, reaching 29,035 feet above the ground. Everest is
constantly growing taller, because of the India Plate pushing under the continent Asia, after colliding
with it many years ago. There are many dangers on Everest such as, avalanches, cravasses, strong
winds, steepness, and thin air.
Bill Burke is a 69 year old mountain climber. At the age of 67, Bill decided on taking on the ultimate
challenge of climbing the great Mount Everest. Although he has climbed other mountains before, such
as Mount Rainier and Mount McKinley, Mount Everest would be much more challenging due to its
height and dangers. On Bill s attempt to summit Everest, he would like to find different paths along
the mountain.

Function Of The Heart And The Structure Of Arteries, Veins...
Explain the function of the heart and the structure of arteries, veins and capillaries.
Referring to Louise Tucker 5th edition, the heart is an organ that pumps blood through the body via
the circulatory system, supplying nutrients and oxygen to the tissues and removing carbon dioxide and
other waste products.
According to Louise Tucker arteries are thick walled, hollow tubes with a fibrous outer covering, a
middle layer of muscle and elastic tissue.
The functions of arteries are:
Carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the rest of the body
Transport nutrients e.g. iron, zinc
Main artery is the aorta
Structure:
Lumen, small passage
Thick, muscular and elastic walls
Veins have three layered walls, their walls are much thinner, not muscular or elastic and the lumen is
much larger compared to arteries. Veins have valves which prevents the back flow of blood.
Vein function:
Carry deoxygenated blood from the body
Transport blood to the heart
Deoxygenated blood contains a high concentration of waste products
Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels.
They have a thin wall
They are porous allowing oxygen to pass through
They allow the flow of gases and nutrients e.g. sodium, potassium
They have a large amount of water
Blood is brick red, it carries oxygen and carbon dioxide
Explain and label the cardiac cycle and include the flow of the blood through the main blood vessels
by using the diagram overleaf.
Refer to diagram attached. The cardiac

Restructuring Debt Data
Understanding the reporting and disclosure requirements for the different types of debt regarding debt
restructuring is imperative. The manager of this company has requested an explanation of the above
regarding bonds payable, notes payable, and capital leases. This paper should satisfy any questions
about these topics.
Long Term Liabilities Included are several types of long term liabilities; bonds payable, notes payable,
and capital leases. Each of these types of debts have some similarities and some differences regarding
the reporting and disclosure requirements, so to better understand those requirements and ensure

The capital lease reported on the balance sheet at the end of the reporting period is the net of principal
payment component of the lease payment.
Reporting and Disclosures
Note disclosures for long term debt should include the nature of the liabilities, maturity dates, interest
dates, call provisions, conversion privileges, restrictions imposed by creditors, and assets designated
or pledged as security (Kieso, et al., 2007). In addition, any sinking fund future payments and maturity
amounts of long term debt during each of the next five years is required for disclosure. If the company
is able to estimate the fair value of the long term debt practically, disclosure of this information is
required too.
Debt Restructuring
With debt restructuring, if there is a substantive modification of any of the terms of the existing debt
or a purchase or other settlement of an existing debt through repayment or replacement, then the
debtor needs to account for a gain or loss on the debt restructuring. In this company s situation, the
debt settled earlier than the original maturity date; so therefore, there was a substantive modification
of terms. In this case, the journal entries are as follows:

Analysis Of The Book The Hunger Games By Scott Westerfeld
Freedom of choice, the transference of power away from and to the oppressed, and rebellion against
societal norms: these are some of the many ingredients of a book that hailed a new approach toward
writing, trailblazing a whole subgenre of fictitious works. This book, a book which will stand the test
of time, embodies the female struggle in an oppressive society. This book, Scott Westerfeld s Uglies,
will survive as it became a beacon in the new style of young adult dystopian novels with female
protagonists. This book, much in the same way that Charlotte Brontë s Jane Eyre inspired writers like
Jean Rhys to write Wide Sargasso Sea and Gilbert and Gubar to pen the first edition of The
Madwoman in the Attic, opened the path for Suzanne ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This name, while not as dehumanizing as Rochester s other signifiers of choice, diminishes Jane to the
level of a child, once again placing Rochester in a position of power over Jane.
The concept of naming as a tool to shape relationships is a time tested literary tool, which in addition
to being employed in Jane Eyre, also features as a major discourse in Uglies. Uglies slang is...ugly. It s
all about giving people nicknames that highlights their ugliness Skinny, Squint, the difference between
Uglies use of naming and Jane Eyre s use of naming is that in Uglies the young adults impress upon
each other these oppressive names rather than a more privileged individual bestowing the names,
which lower their own self esteems(Wilkinson 10). This tactic of encouraging self depreciating names
is a practice which internalizes the need in the young citizens to live for the day in which they turn
sixteen and can be reprieved of their undesirable traits, their skinny frames and squinty eyes.
Stylistically, the two books can be compared on the use of character foils to indirectly characterize the
main protagonist; character foils, a subtle, indirect characterization formed by comparison of
characters, appears in the foil of Jane Eyre and Bertha Rochester and the foil of Tally Youngblood and

The first step in the extraction of paracetamol was to crush the tablets. If I didn t do this then it would
have been difficult to dissolve them. To weigh them, we had to make sure that we used the most
accurate scales as possible as accuracy could be an issue. The spirit level should be calibrated so that
we can rule out the issue of accuracy. Another problem we could have had in the practical was the
method of filtering. The filter paper could have been too small so the filtrate could have gotten over
the top of the funnel and then we would have had insoluble impurities. Also when doing this, we had
to be careful that none of the filtrate ran down the beaker or we would have lost some yield. The filter

Walt Disney Struggles
If at first you don t succeed, try, try again! No entrepreneur becomes famous overnight. It takes years

their mistakes. Who remembers that Steve Jobs dropped out of college? Or how Oprah Winfrey lived
in poverty as a child? They encountered struggles. But did they give up? No! They persevered. And so
did Walter Elias Disney. Despite his struggles early on, Walt Disney worked hard and became a
famous entrepreneur who transformed the entertainment industry.

unable to persuade his boss about its effectiveness, so Disney quit the job (Walt Disney Wikipedia).
Next, Walt Disney started his own company of cartoons, called Laugh O Grams . Focusing mostly on

A Brief Note On Electrical Discharge Machining ( Edm )
CHAPTER 2
2. LITERATURE SURVEY
2.1 Introduction
Literature review is one of the scope studies. It works as guide to run this analysis. From the early
stage of the project, various literature studies have been done. Research journals, books, printed or
online conference article were the main source in the project guides.
Literature review section work as reference, to give information and guide base on journal and other
source in the media. We are broadly classified all the paper into five different category, i.e. paper
related to Electrical discharge machining (EDM), material related (workpiece or tool), some paper
related to the effect of input parameters on (MRR,TWR and SR), dielectric fluid and the effect of
flushing.
2.2 Electrical discharge machining (EDM)
It is a process that is used to remove metal through the action of an electrical discharge of short
duration and high current density between the tool and the workpiece [18 19]. (EDM) is a non
traditional type of precision processing using an electrical spark erosion process between the electrode
and the working piece of electrically conductive immersed in a dielectric fluid [20]. Since it has more
special gains, the (EDM) has been widely applied in modern metal industry for producing complex
cavities in moulds and dies, which are difficult to manufacture by conventional machining. The use of
(EDM) in the production of forming tools to produce plastics mouldings, die castings, forging dies

Gender Gap In Pay Essay
The film and television industry is a particularly difficult field for women to advance and be heard in
because of the commercial structure of the industry and its need to draw on significant amounts of
capital to finance projects. It is only by addressing the funding challenge that this gender gap can be
closed. To illustrate this, this paper will look at the data from several studies to confirm the existence
of the gender gap, analyze the potential causes with particular focus on how the levels of capital
required and the drive for a return of profit on that capital create the significant barrier, and propose
what is the most effective means of remedying the problem.

Why are women creators and women s perspectives so under represented in film and television?
Based on the date and analysis in these reports it appears that there are institutional impediments
related to the difficulties of acquiring both the progressive experience in the industry and the
necessary funding for film and television projects that are significant obstacles to women creators in
film. The studies indicate that there is near parity between the genders at the student level. So the
barriers are clearly more significant at a later career stage. Key occupations that are gateways to
directing, including editors, cinematographers and first assistant directors, are themselves male
dominated (Coles 2). To progress into the director s chair, most candidates need to work their way up
through progressive roles such as A.D. or cinematographer. But the barriers to women appear to be
nearly as significant for those positions as they are for the position of director ( Gender Inequality in
Film ). So although this paper focuses on women as directors, many of the same observations could be
made about women as cinematographers, assistant directors and producers. Women are denied the key
roles and thus the normal path to becoming

Urbanization brings about a social change. This is most prominent in the expansion of
entrepreneurship and industrialization. It is known that the progress of the landless laborer and the

Inspirations for Youth and Families treatment center. Client was arrested for shop lifting but was also
charged with the possession of Heroin. For the past couple weeks, the client presented with low self
esteem of self that may have played a role in her poor choice in substance abuse. On top of Detox and
group therapy, the client will receive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in hopes to improve self esteem to
alter the substance abuse behavior.
Single Subject Evaluation
The author used an ABAB design with the client. The ABAB design represents an effort to measure a
baseline, a treatment measurement, the withdrawal of treatment, and the re introduction of treatment.
The author chose the design because it involves two parts including gathering of baseline information,
the application of a treatment and measurement of the effects of the treatment; and of what happens
when the treatment is removed and then again applying the treatment and measuring the change. With
the amount of time allowed, the ABAB design worked best.
Measurement Tool The Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSS) was used to measure the clients level of

Positive And Negative Effects Of Social Media
Social media is a very popular and widely used medium of entertainment in today s society that allows
people to connect and congregate from all over the world without having to leave the comfort of
home. In order for many people to relieve social isolation and loneliness, social media unravels new
pathways of communication and can be used to help people open up and express their opinions
(Naruse). It can give people the chance to share and express their ideas to a large audience and receive
feedback. Large and small businesses alike use this platform of communication in order to relay
information about their products and services faster by using promotions and advertisements on social
media websites. While social media has proven itself to be helpful and beneficial in today s society,
there are many studies that show how it can take quite a toll on the mental health and wellbeing of the
people who constantly use it. Many people of all ages and from all over the world use social media on
a daily basis. While many people of different ages use it, social media seems to influence the lifestyle
of younger users, such as teenagers. Younger users of social media are usually more impressionable
and more likely to be affected and influenced by online trends and standards, and because these users
spend much more time on social media, they are more susceptible to create a habit of constantly

Grendel Vs Beowulf
The story of Beowulf has been told for centuries all over Europe. However, there is one problem with
recreating the story and making it into a movie; each movie has a different plot line, theme, or
character back story. The differences in the movies may or may not have a large effect on the overall
story, but it does show how much stories can change just by the person that is telling the story.
For instance, in the first movie we watched, Beowulf 2005, Grendel was a troll whose mother was a
sea beast and his father was a troll. In Beowulf 2005, Grendel spoke using a series of grunting noises
and spoke very little English. In the second movie Beowulf 2007, Grendel was a monster whose
mother was a sea beast, but his father was King Hrothgar. This time Grendel communicated by
speaking in old English. These differences are very minuscule, but they had a large impact on the
ending of each movie. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A. Sentinel Event
This sentinel event involves child abduction from the surgical unit of Nightingale Community
Hospital on Thursday, September 14, 2014 at approximately 1230hrs. The patient, a three year old
female, arrived accompanied by her mother, for an outpatient surgical procedure at 0800hrs and
proceeded to registration where all currently required documentation was completed and signed by the
mother; this included the authorization forms for the surgery. After registration, the patient and her ...

Specifically, the pre op nurse who acquired the parental contact information, or upon being informed
that the mother would be leaving the facility did not document it in the patient chart or pass it along to
the O.R. nurse. 3) Surgeon: Was directly involved in the events leading up to the sentinel event. The
surgeon was responsible for all activities taking place in the surgical suite and directly related to the
surgery of the pediatric patient. The surgery was completed safely and successfully; however, the
surgeon had relevant information in the patient chart at his office yet did not share this information
with the hospital. He also did not supply an appropriate or accurate H amp;P that would have included
custodial status for the pediatric patient to the hospital. The surgeon is greatly concerned in the events
that lead to the sentinel event and wants to ensure that his patients will be cared for and safe at
Nightingale Community Hospital. 4) O.R. Nurse: Was directly involved in the events leading up to the
sentinel event. The O.R. nurse is responsible for assisting the surgeon in the surgical suite and
providing continuity of care throughout the surgical procedure from pre op to post op. The surgery
was completed safely and successfully and the patient was handed over to PACU for recovery
appropriately; however, the O.R. nurse did not verify that all relevant information was obtained from

Middle School Dress Code
North Middle School Dress Code These are some things I suggest be included in the new dress code:
Leggings may not be worn without a skirt, dress, shorts, etc. Only beanie hats are allowed Tank tops
don t have a set minimum width for straps, as long as it has straps First off, I believe leggings should
not be worn without a skirt, dress, shorts, etc. Students may wear leggings in gym, but for a regular
school schedule, they are not permitted. Leggings are not pants, therefore, they should not be worn as
pants. They were simply meant to be an undergarment to keep legs warm under a dress or skirt.
Sweatpants are allowed, and are an excellent alternative to leggings. Many believe hats should not be
allowed in schools. One reason hats are

Surgery Failure Recovery
Recovery from the surgery usually requires a few weeks in the hospital. It may also include several
visits and checkups in the first year. After that, the patient usually needs only one checkup a year to
make sure that the valve is still working correctly. At the checkup, the doctor will do a number of tests
to see if the replacement or repair is working like it should be. If they find something wrong, they will
continue to monitor the person until they find out if it is life threating or not. If it is life threating the
doctor will do another surgery to fix it ( Aortic Valve Stenosis ). There is very little chance that there
will be complications after the surgery. The chance of complications is reduced due to how common
the disorder is and

Hector Monologue
Morning arrived too quickly. Hector was awakened by George, his five year old brother, a lively
brown eyed boy, full of laughter and joy.
Wake up brother! George said while jumping on Hector s bed. George was starting his first day of
school at Riverside. Luz was going to drive him and Hector there. George couldn t contain his joy!
Laughing, Hector got up and followed George to the bathroom to get cleaned up, then to the breakfast
table. All the while George kept bouncing around like a windup toy.
After breakfast, Luz drove them both to school. She kissed their cheeks, gave them tight hugs and
wished them both a great day.
When the bell rang, Hector and another student, Jose Cortez, walked with Riverside s principal to
Mrs. Robinson s third grade classroom.

He started talking in a shaky voice, My name is Hector and I am Mexican.
The students stared at him and Mrs. Robinson encouraged him to go on with a nod.
I love my Mexican heritage and culture. It s a part of me and a way of life that has been passed down
from generations. He said and went on to tell the class about his family, his hard working mom, their
cultural traditions, their family values, festivities, the food they ate, language they spoke at home,
music they loved and so much more. He even told them about Tally. To his surprise, the class listened
and asked questions, showing more than a hint of curiosity. No one teased him, or whispered behind
his back.
I m proud to be a Mexican. Hector said at last and received a standing ovation.
While he still felt shy, he didn t grow quiet whenever a student approached him throughout the day,

Editing In Psycho
The 1960 film Psycho includes one of the most well known murder scenes to ever be filmed by Alfred
Hitchcock. Through the use of editing Hitchcock was able to draw his audience in and make them feel
as if they were there in room watching every event unfold before their own two eyes. Critical analysis
of the killing of Marion Crane will include analysis of the editing and camera angels used in her final
moments of her life. This scene has been reviewed thousands of times and is still today considered
ahead of its time. Hitchcock composed Marion Crane s murder using the three attributes of editing to
draw the scene together and make it look like a particularly vicious, these three attributes are of
course: creating meaning through collage, tempo, and timing. ... Show more content on

Crane was attacked while staying in the Bates Motel by an unknown female character, who was
originally presented to the audience as female. We later find out is actually Norman Bates, the motel
owner. Norman Bates, however, in this scene was not Norman Bates he was actually Mother. Mother
was a second personality the Norman had adopted after his actual mother died. Mother was an
alternate personality no one was aware of until the ending, in which Norman acting for Mother is
caught in the act of committing another murder. In the scene where Mother kills Marion she sneaks
into Marion s motel room while she showers and surprises her. Then stabs her to death, and then
leaves her to bleed out in the bathtub. Mother acts in a wildly, animalistic fashion during this scene,
which is aided by the style in which Hitchcock films and edits his

Career Goals (Your career goals) She was a five year old girl with skinny chicken legs, oversized glasses, and the most contagious smile you ve ever seen. Every morning for three years, it was this smiling face that greeted me with an obnoxious wave and anxious enthusiasm as I drove up a long gravel driveway to a small farmhouse in Granite Falls, Minnesota. As a teen, I worked as a personal care assistant for young clients suffering physical and intellectual delays. It was the morning I was pulling in for my final shift that I recognized that helping this little girl reach her full potential by aiding in her daily activities was a small stepping stone to reaching my goal of earning my doctorate degree in nursing. Although it was on that specific day that I determined I would pursue a career in advanced nursing, I have been in love with learning and the healthcare industry for as long as I can remember. From learning to ride a bike to starting my first IV, I have always blissfully awaited every lesson and anxiously sought to conquer its content. My intellectual curiosity has continuously driven me to seek out more knowledge and I ve regularly employed my focus and commitment skills to grasp complex issues and ideas. • 4. There Are Good Men And Great Men Essay There are good men and great men. When it comes to choosing leaders, it often seems that the will of the people often will back the man they perceive to not just be good, but great. Great in what though? Whether the people have a choice of their leader or are forced into living under the command of their leader, people will more times than not, more willingly summit themselves to the rule of a great man rather than a man who is simply good or on the other end a tyrant. Cyrus the Great, as portrayed by historian Xenophon in The Education of Cyrus shows perhaps one of the greatest leaders of the ancient world, especially in the region of the modern day Middle East. Xenophon describes to his reader the renowned and extremely loved character of Cyrus as both a conqueror and as an emperor. In seeing Cyrus as a military ruler and as a ruler over a vast nation, Cyrus appears to be the perfect man for modern day, Republican politics. Through the dissection of the character of Cyrus, laid out by Xenophon, both as a conquer and as an emperor, it becomes evident that Cyrus, if alive today, would prove to be the perfect leader of the people of the free world. As president, there are two major roles that encompass all other roles that the person who takes the position must be able to balance: commander in chief to the armed forces and leader of the people of the nation. These roles of the president, parallel with the roles that Cyrus played as both conquer and emperor. In both these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In calibrating our expectations for Gatsby, it s interesting to look at the last classic work he adapted, the 1996 Leo DiCaprio/Claire Danes feature based on the Shakespearean play. A lot of adaptations of Shakespeare s work try to do what Luhrmann does, reimagining the story in a contemporary setting, and they re met with varying degrees of success. Even stranger is Luhrmann s word for word retention of the Shakespearean dialogue, resulting in a bizarre juxtaposition of old language and new technology and surroundings. Bob will choose a value t at a random modulo M, such that Jacobi Symbol (t/M)=x Then, he sends s=(t+a/t)mod M to Alice Alice recovers the bit x as follows, s+2r=t (1+r/t)* (1+r/t) mod M Also, it follows Jacobi Symbol ((s+2r)/M)=(t/M)=x Here, Alice knows the value of r, using that she will calculate value of x Bob need to double up the Key data as he is not aware whether Alice uses root of a or a. He will select random t to send x bits, and send s= (t a/t)mod M. There is no way to avoid sending this extra amount of data. [2] Practical Implementation Aspects: System is not very much expensive in terms of computation. If transport key is K bits long, then Alice need to compute K Jacobi Symbols and Bob will need to compute K divisions mod M and K Jacobi Symbols. Issue: Each bit of Transport key requires size up to M for bandwidth. Bob Does not know whether Alice uses square root of a or a, hence, he must ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. How To Survived The RMS Titanic On Monday, 15th April 1912, the RMS Titanic collided with an iceberg near Newfoundland at 11:40 pm and sank approximately two and a half hours later because of the severe damage the iceberg caused. The world s biggest ship was only five days into her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York when the disastrous catastrophe took place. From the 2200 passengers, only 600 of them are estimated to have survived the tragedy. When the Cunard liner RMS Caparthia arrived two hours later the greatest ship known to men had vanished completely. What they saw shocked them to the core: There was chaos all around. People were freezing to death, already dead people were floating on the water. The people in the lifeboats were crying, screaming and trying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was horrible! said a member of the Caparthia s crew. There were children drowning and mothers crying for help. As of today, the investigations are still ongoing, nevertheless, experts believe that many safety precautions hadn´t been taken properly. One of the more serious safety problems was the lack of lifeboats on board. The way the ship was designed did not allow enough space for the amount of lifeboats that would have been required to save every single passenger. As a result, the first class passengers were granted a seat in a lifeboat primarily. A lot of the third and second class passengers, however, didn t even survive their way out of their cabins. One of the few second class survivors was Mary Donahugh: I thought I was going to die. The water in the cabins rose higher and higher and it felt like millions of tiny needles piercing through my skin. She lost her husband and her two children that night. The sinking of Titanic will always be one of the biggest disasters on sea the world has ever seen. Hopefully, new technologies will continue to shed a light on further puzzle pieces of what happened that night. • 15. The Adventures of Ibn Battuta by Ross E. Dunn The book I chose to read for this summer assignment was The Adventures of Ibn Battuta (Revised edition) written by Ross E. Dunn. The predominant reason as to why I chose this book is because I am Moroccan descent and I had a strong desire to learn more about the rich cultures of the Arab world. I once read that those who had the last name Bencomo, which was orginally from the Canary Islands and written as Tehncomo were descendents of the Islamic traveler, Ibn Battuta. This sparked even more curiosity to learn about my ancestor s history. I heard stories from my grandmother about the Moors since her father was half Moroccan. I knew I had to learn about this since this is a part of who I am. This book mainly narrates the adventures and travels of a 14th century Muslim scholar, native of Tangier who studied law but dreamed of traveling and seeing different perspectives of the world. Ibn is described by many as the Marco Polo of the Muslim world. Ibn traveled by all means possible during his time period, horse, camel, boat, foot, and boat for approximately 29 years. The area he covered would now be the equivalent to 40 modern countries and 73,000 miles. Quotes I found most interesting were A scholar s education is greatly improved by traveling in quest of knowledge and meeting the authoritative teachers (of his time). by Ibn Khaldun pg. 27. Cancers in this gland are the most common malignancies, which grow very slowly, and can have minimal effect on a man s quality of life. However, a tumor in the prostate gland can be problematic for men, especially black men, even though it is only about the size of a walnut. Located below the bladder and in front of the rectum, the prostate provides the fluid that nourishes and protects sperm cells in the semen. Researchers are still debating the cause of this disease, although certain risk factors such as age, ethnicity, culture, environment, diet, and family history, increase the chance of getting it. Prostate cancer affects African American men and early screening and detection are the key factors that can be used to prevent mortality and reduce morbidity, especially in the Brooklyn area. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in African American men and has the highest reported mor¬tality rate, which is 2.4 times higher than in Caucasian men or any racial or ethnic group in the United States, according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC; 2014). Referring to Louise Tucker 5th edition, the heart is an organ that pumps blood through the body via the circulatory system, supplying nutrients and oxygen to the tissues and removing carbon dioxide and other waste products. According to Louise Tucker arteries are thick walled, hollow tubes with a fibrous outer covering, a middle layer of muscle and elastic tissue. The functions of arteries are: Carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to the rest of the body Transport nutrients e.g. iron, zinc Main artery is the aorta Structure: Lumen, small passage Thick, muscular and elastic walls Veins have three layered walls, their walls are much thinner, not muscular or elastic and the lumen is much larger compared to arteries. Veins have valves which prevents the back flow of blood. Vein function: Carry deoxygenated blood from the body Transport blood to the heart Deoxygenated blood contains a high concentration of waste products Capillaries are the smallest blood vessels. They have a thin wall They are porous allowing oxygen to pass through They allow the flow of gases and nutrients e.g. sodium, potassium They have a large amount of water Blood is brick red, it carries oxygen and carbon dioxide Explain and label the cardiac cycle and include the flow of the blood through the main blood vessels by using the diagram overleaf. (EDM) is a non traditional type of precision processing using an electrical spark erosion process between the electrode and the working piece of electrically conductive immersed in a dielectric fluid [20]. Since it has more special gains, the (EDM) has been widely applied in modern metal industry for producing complex cavities in moulds and dies, which are difficult to manufacture by conventional machining. • 30. Gender Gap In Pay Essay The film and television industry is a particularly difficult field for women to advance and be heard in because of the commercial structure of the industry and its need to draw on significant amounts of capital to finance projects. It is only by addressing the funding challenge that this gender gap can be closed. To illustrate this, this paper will look at the data from several studies to confirm the existence of the gender gap, analyze the potential causes with particular focus on how the levels of capital required and the drive for a return of profit on that capital create the significant barrier, and propose what is the most effective means of remedying the problem. Generally, women creators and women s perspectives in the creative arts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Why are women creators and women s perspectives so under represented in film and television? Based on the date and analysis in these reports it appears that there are institutional impediments related to the difficulties of acquiring both the progressive experience in the industry and the necessary funding for film and television projects that are significant obstacles to women creators in film. The studies indicate that there is near parity between the genders at the student level. So the barriers are clearly more significant at a later career stage. Key occupations that are gateways to directing, including editors, cinematographers and first assistant directors, are themselves male dominated (Coles 2). To progress into the director s chair, most candidates need to work their way up through progressive roles such as A.D. or cinematographer. But the barriers to women appear to be nearly as significant for those positions as they are for the position of director ( Gender Inequality in Film ). So although this paper focuses on women as directors, many of the same observations could be made about women as cinematographers, assistant directors and producers. Women are denied the key roles and thus the normal path to becoming ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Client Goal Research reveals that self esteem is the most consistent predictor of the likelihood and extent of substance abuse (Uba et al., 2013). The client is a 15 year old female who was court ordered to Inspirations for Youth and Families treatment center. Client was arrested for shop lifting but was also charged with the possession of Heroin. For the past couple weeks, the client presented with low self esteem of self that may have played a role in her poor choice in substance abuse. On top of Detox and group therapy, the client will receive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in hopes to improve self esteem to alter the substance abuse behavior. Single Subject Evaluation The author used an ABAB design with the client. The ABAB design represents an effort to measure a baseline, a treatment measurement, the withdrawal of treatment, and the re introduction of treatment. The author chose the design because it involves two parts including gathering of baseline information, the application of a treatment and measurement of the effects of the treatment; and of what happens when the treatment is removed and then again applying the treatment and measuring the change. With the amount of time allowed, the ABAB design worked best. Measurement Tool The Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSS) was used to measure the clients level of self esteem.
