How to Make Criss Cross Wire Earrings:
Materials:
Two ear wires
Two 8mm beads
Four 4 to 5mm beads
22 or 24 gauge wire
Two headpins
Tools:
Chain Nose Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Wire Cutters
Nylon Jaw Pliers (Optional)
Step 1:
Begin by cutting three 6 inch pieces of wire for each earring. Once this is done, bend one wire in half and twist it to create a loop as seen in the photo on the right.
Step 2:
Insert your headpin into the newly made loop on your wire. You are going to do this with all three wires that you have cut.
Step 3:
Slide your bead onto the headpin and wrap one of your wires around the bead and then around the top of the bead ensuring to go around about three times. Trim off excess wire.
Step 4:
Wrap another wire around the bead being sure to trim it once you are done.
Step 5:
Insert your smaller bead onto your headpin and wrap another loose wire around that bead. Trim off excess.
Step 6:
Slide on another one of your beads and trim off the excess wire just as you did in step 5.
Step 7:
Trim off your headpin until you have just enough to make a loop. Then, make a loop using your round nose pliers.
Step 8:
Attach your ear wire to your newly made pendant and you have now handmade your own beautiful earring! Repeat for a marvelous pair.

The Complete Guide to Jewelry Wire Infographic contains the basic of jewelry wire including the sizes, common uses, shapes, hardness and materials(including: sterling silver, fine silver, karat gold, silver filled, gold filled, aluminum, brass, copper, craft wire/artistic wire, memory wire, & steel.) It serves as a great reference for jewelry makers from beginner to advanced.
1. File both ends of the 18G Wire, Straighten it with a polishing cloth, then bend it at about a 90 degree angle at 4 inches from one end.
2. Place the Sharpie Marker on the Outside of the angle, on the shorter side of the wire and bring the wire around the marker to create an open loop.
3. Using your mandrel, create an open loop i the longer side of the wire.
4. Bring the shorter end of the wire from the bottom, up around the longer side and press the wire down to the small side of the heart shape.
5. Bring the longer side of the wire around the bend you just created, towards the bigger side of the heart shape until the gap between the two is about 3mm. Unhook the two wires as shown and hammer the heart shape slightly to sturdy it.
6. Wrap one end of the 26 ga. wire twice around the longer end of your frame about 2mm from the bend. Bring the long end of the wire under the side and wrap it around once. Bring the weaving wire up and feed it down the right arm of the frame.
7. Wrap the wire around the right arm of the heart once, then back up under the other side again. Continue weaving like this, moving the outer wire close against the heart shape as you go.
8. Continue weaving until you reach the top bend of the heart frame, then trim the excess weaving wire and bend it against the frame.
9. Use your round nose pliers to create a small loop at the end of the wire, then contune curling in to create a spiral in the big curve of the heart frame.
10. Trim the short arm of the fram to about 1.25 in. Then hook it through the gap i the bottom of the woven side. Bend it back against the short side and create a small loop. Continue curling into a spiral.
11. Attach a jump ring to the top of the heart and add a chain to wear as a necklace!

2. Materials: Around 10 inches of 20 gauge copper wire, around 12 inches of 28 gauge copper wire
(for attaching beads to the base), 1 copper bead - size 4 mm, 5 howlite beads - size 3 mm

10. Step 7: Take thin wire and wrap it few times around the base, then insert howlite bead and wrap the wire around the base, then again insert the next bead,
