How to make a pillow?

Pillowsare simple and cheap to
assemble, and a great way to learn and practice
some basic sewing and crafting skills. So why
waste money on store-bought pillows when you
can simply make your own? Square and
rectangular pillows are the easiest to make. The
directions below will guide you through the
process, but once you get familiar with it you can
improvise to make new creations, all cheaper
than anything you could buy at the store.

PART 1:
Prepare the fabric
FIRST STEP…
…is to find a FABRIC.
Almost any fabric can work, but consider the
purpose of the pillow you want. If you are going
to be using it rest on at night, pick a fabric that
feels good against your face. If your pillow will
be decorative, pick a fabric that matches your
other furniture.
SECOND STEP…
…is to CUTthe fabric into two squares or
rectangles of equal size
PART 2:
Stitch the pillow
FIRST STEP...
…Is to MEASURE the sides of your fabric
pieces and determine how much thread you will
use.
SECOND STEP...
…Is to place the two pieces
together right-side-in
THIRD STEP...
…Is to stitch together three
sides of the pillow pieces
FOURTH STEP...
…Is to turn the pillow
right-side-out.
FIFTH STEP...
…Is to iron your pillow flat
SIXTH STEP...
…Is to prepare the opening
PART 3:
Stuff and Close
FIRST STEP...
…Is to stuff the pillow
SECOND STEP...
…Is to stitch the opening together
with tiny whip stitches
