How to find an address or PIN using place finder
1. How to find an address or PIN
using Place Finder – Basic
Fauquier County ArcGIS Online
2. Open the Fauquier County GIS Maps page:
• http://fauquiergis.maps.arcgis.com/home/
3. Select the map Place Finder - Basic
• Once in the map, you should see: Pay attention to these icons
4. To find an address, navigate to the upper right
corner of the map
• The icons provided will help you to identify the information you are
looking for. By hovering your mouse over each icon, you will see what
each icon does.

Switching the basemap will give you the option of adding satellite
imagery, topography, or streets. Play around with the basemaps to
add depth to your map.
5. The Find icon will be the most important icon
to you
• Select the Find icon. Once selected you will be able to search for a location by entering
an address, PIN, or persons name.
• As you begin to type, a list will be generated
based on the information being typed in.
• You can scroll through the list to find the desired
location or further define your search by adding
more detail to the search.
• The same steps used to find an address can be used to
a parcel using a PIN or owners name as well.
6. Zooming to the desired location
• Once you have identified the property you are looking for, simply click
on that record and the map will zoom to that location and display
associated information about that address point.
• If this satisfies your search then you can
close the application or print the map you
have just created.
7. If you require more information
• Using your mouse, select the parcel to identify information associated
with that location.
• The parcel will highlight and open a window
similar to what is displayed here.
• You will notice the REOLINK More info
option. Select this to be redirected to the
County’s Real Estate Online service
8. Real Estate Online
• Provided here are the tax parcel cards registered with the county for
that particular property.
• Navigate through the tabs to find
desired information required to
complete your task.
