A Practical Approach to Agile Adoption - Case Studies from Egypt by Amr Noama...Agile ME
Agile Adoption is a big organization transition project. A big bang approach to Agile Adoption involves real risks and may lead to failure. Instead, small, continuous, and valuable improvements are more viable for most organizations. In this interactive session, we will start with an overview of the Agile mindset, values and principles, and will highlight the major differences between Agile and traditional approaches to managing software projects. Then, we will explain our approach for adopting agile which is incremental and iterative in nature. Finally, we will present some case studies and will share some interesting observations and conclusions collected through working with more than 40 companies during the last 6 years.
Overview and explanation of the 12 Principles contained in the Agile Manifesto.

ABC Radio has a strong relationship with broadcast listeners but in the age of Spotify, Rdio and iTunes how does ABC Radio remain relevant and accessible to its audience and upcoming generations of listeners in an online world. How do we quickly build the foundation for online listening now that will sustain us into the future? I’ll tell you the story of the last 12 months (the short version), starting as a UX designer on the radio player project, designing user interfaces, moving into strategy all the way to leading a team in short agile sprints.

How Business Model Innovation intertwines with Design Thinking and Agile Deve...Tobias Schimmer
In 2009, SAP decided to implement Lean and Agile Software Engineering practices within its global development organization. Lean management and agile practices like Scrum helped SAP to become more efficient and predictable in delivering its software. However, Scrum starts with a product vision – where does that come from? Design Thinking helped, but did not yet solve the “Innovator’s Dilemma” which almost any big company faces after many years of success. Hence, we had to explore new ways and approaches to come up with innovative product ideas and business models for the ever faster changing and evolving enterprise software market. Combining Agile and DT with Business Model Innovation (BMI) practices and providing adequate project coaches finally did the trick for SAP: while lean thinking and agile project management improved many feasibility aspects, BMI practices tackle commercial success and viability, especially in the new cloud-based environment...

Facts about Artifacts: Reimagining How New Product Development Artifacts Impa...Mark Hart
To be more successful in a development network, find better ways to produce and integrate artifacts that contribute to the goals of development.
To make better hour-by-hour and day-by-day decisions, embrace a system perspective when writing more lines of code or producing more pages of documentation. Move beyond a perspective that is limited by reductionism or procrustean solutions. Encourage deliberative subtraction (deciding what not to develop) from the perspective of the system. Embrace new product development as more than a collection of diverse artifacts.
Embrace new product development as more than a job characterized by obvious answers where choices are framed as ‘OR’ selections. Embrace “AND” selections that meet the needs of the present and anticipate development in the future. Facilitate set-based design over point-based design. Strive to be proficient problem solvers that also invest in future capabilities. Incorporate artifacts that contribute to the goals and minimize distractions.
First rate individual contributors have the ability to hold a requisite variety of ideas about artifacts in their mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. Refactoring F Scott Fitzgerald from The Crack-Up, April 1936 (3)
With that capability, you can improve your Development Experience [DX] which is another artifact that should be made skillfully.

An Alternative to Herding Cats in New Product DevelopmentMark Hart
Instead of focusing your project efforts on herding cats or gaming the cat-herding-system, I advocate investing to develop better implicit orientations. This enables the development of a compulsion loop that can become a vital driver to sustain a vibrant new product development environment. A byproduct of this approach is a series of great products that are associated with great user experiences.

This presentation explores stress and growth in new product development. I will highlight Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTDS) and Posttraumatic Growth (PTG), introduce Post Development Stress and Post Development Growth, and then provide suggestions for designing for growth.
The Unexpected Benefit of Interactive Prototypes in New Product DevelopmentMark Hart
The Unexpected Benefit of Interactive Prototypes in New Product Development
When the development of interactive prototypes involves many individuals from a diversity of specialties throughout development, it changes the way the network approaches development. When individuals from different perspectives (such as engineering and marketing) work together to develop and build an abundant number of interactive prototypes, new opportunities for cooperation, collaboration, and harmony emerge.
Fewer tasks must be defined explicitly. Tacit knowledge is developed. The construction and maintenance of To-Do lists can be minimized because corrections are more likely to be made in real-time instead of adding items to a backlog for processing at a later time. Frequent attempts to integrate deliverables drive the network to become more cohesive. Appreciation of other perspectives improves. Situational awareness improves. The ability of the network to adapt improves. Network agility improves. The orientation of the network becomes more implicit. The potential for innovation improves.
The potential for innovation spans the current project, the next project, and adjacent projects. Individuals retain enhanced capabilities for future development projects with other networks.

“Reductionism is a philosophical position which holds that a complex system is nothing but the sum of its parts, and that an account of it can be reduced to accounts of individual constituents.”
Which approach provides better value from a project? Is it a reductionist approach or a recursion approach?
A tyrannical approach does not produce better project value. Debating over a development question that includes the word ‘or’ is not likely to improve qualities such as autonomy, mastery, or purpose.
Better value will be produced with the proper combination of reductionism and recursion. Some individuals excel as reductionists. However, the potential for project success can not be achieved when the reductionist viewpoint is the only viewpoint that is tolerated.
Paul McCartney and Subtle Signals: Applications to New Product DevelopmentMark Hart
Paul McCartney and Subtle Signals: Applications to New Product Development
John, Paul, George, and Ringo continuously synchronized their efforts. Subtle signals helped Paul McCartney and the other Beatles coordinate their musical efforts during performances on the Ed Sullivan Show under conditions of extreme noise in 1964.
To improve your development performance, evaluate your approach to:
▪ Requisites to Coordination
▪ Subtle signals
▪ Feedback
▪ Feed forward
▪ Impressions
▪ Representations of reality
▪ Mismatches
An appropriate analysis will suggest additional investment opportunity areas such as theory and practice. You will have insights to discern the valuable subtle signals from the spurious. Strive to improve your agility so that you can learn faster than the speed of the market and faster than competitors.
Analogous concepts can be applied to improve Development Experience [DX] in new product development.

Optionality: Synthesizing and exercising attractive options during your next ...Mark Hart
This presentation examines insights on winning from John Boyd and insights on optionality from Nicholas Taleb to synthesize an optionality approach to development.
Boyd had a lot to say about winning. His final brief was titled “The Essence of Winning and Losing.”
Much of Nicholas Taleb’s career was spent as an options trader on Wall Street. His first best selling book was “The Black Swan.” Black Swan theory refers to unexpected events of large magnitude and consequence. Typically, black swan events are unpredicted. They are rationalized in hindsight.
Another best seller was “Antifragility.” This presentation summarizes a few highlights from that book. This presentation expands several concepts from Taleb and combines those with insights from Boyd.
The capability to synthesize many options and exercise attractive development options rapidly throughout a project enables a properly prepared network of individual contributors to realize non-linear gains that are not possible by alternate development approaches such as ones that focus on managing mandates.
Some of the insights to facilitate wins:
- The synthesis of many options is facilitated by mobilizing a network with a diversity of specialties (requisite variety) and practicing pair development.
- Rapidity is facilitated by designing for disintermediation and enhancing the capability of the network to detect mismatches.
- The determination of attractiveness can be improved by designing for recursive approaches.
Antifragility in New Product Development: How Enhancing Optionality Improves ...Mark Hart
In the book Antifragile: Things that Gain from Disorder, Nassim Nicholas Taleb shared insights on optionality that can be expanded to include new product development environments.
This presentation provides an introduction to the non-linear gains associated with antifragile systems that may be realized by designing new product development environments that help individuals improve their capability to synthesize many new options continuously and enhance their proficiency to exercise options that are attractive. This presentation includes a comparison to concepts represented in Boyd's OODA Loop sketch.

Agile Network India | Distributed Agile Day @Gurugram | Distributed Agile – N...AgileNetwork
Abstract:
Necessity is a mother of all inventions, An age-old say but still true and can easily be mapped to all solutions for most of the problems. Similarly, do you think that Agile is a solution to all issues? Mayor may not be? it worked for few and failed for few. The retrospective is done for failures….. maybe they have not implemented it properly or they did……but other parameters like their team size were huge and the team is spread across geographies? Retrospectives/Continues improvement/Lessons learned resulted in Next-Gen Agile – Distributed Agile. Will it stop here? What is the Impact of AI and Automation on Agile teams?
Key Takeaways:
1. Agile – an oversold Word
2. Failures of Agile
3. Need for Distributed Agile
4. Next-Gen Agile
5. Impact of AI/Automation on Agile.
We'll identify how teamwork, agile, and UX can work together to increase team communication, and decrease the likelihood of stalled timelines or increased scope down the line.
Attendees will learn:
1. Helpful, concrete questions to ask of other team members in collaborative settings.
2. The secret to why “silos” exist in the first place, and why they’re not always bad.
The Agile Method and AGILE ISD; how to use each to improve your training programChristopher King
The term "agile" is being used readily to express the desire organizations have to be responsive and flexible to change in their organization. The Agile development method is designed to quickly and efficiently produce software products. Recently its application has expanded to other areas including training products. AGILE ISD is a new way of thinking about education where performance is the metric that drives the development and delivery decisions in an organization’s training program. It recognizes the long tail of learning and the five moments of learning need. AGILE ISD provides strategies for creating a culture of learning at your organization.
While these two agile methods are for different purposes, they are not mutually exclusive. This session will explain how your organization can use both methods to your advantage and success. We clarify some of the different uses of the term agile within the learning and development community. In this session we will cover:
• Agile (software) movement - its history, its main tenets, different types of agile frameworks and how to incorporated into the ADDIE training methodology
• AGILE ISD – is a methodology developed by Dr. Conrad Gottfredson that aims to supplement ADDIE by expanding its scope to include informal learning design. We cover its history, its main tenants, principles of agile education, and incorporating AGILE ISD into the ADDIE training methodology
• How the two approaches can both be successfully applied in your L&D organization

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.

Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder

• Waterfall / Big Design Up Front
(BDUF)
• Changes may be frustrating to the
development team

Alistair Cockburn
Does not 'welcome changing
requirements.'
He sets up projects to absorb
changes in requirements in the
best possible way.

Principles behind the Agile
Manifesto
“Welcome changing requirements,
even late in development. Agile
processes harness change for the
customer's competitive
advantage.”

Recollections from the meeting
that produced the Agile Manifesto
Cockburn (pronounced Co-burn,
the Scottish way ) was one of the
17 signatories of the Agile
Manifesto in 2001

• Meeting was not to develop
something new
• Summarize similarities in
approaches

Individuals and interactions over processes and
tools
Working software over comprehensive
documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan
Crafted in one day with complete agreement over the
wording

We follow these principles
9
Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.
Welcome changing requirements, even late in
development. Agile processes harness change for the
customer's competitive advantage
Deliver working software frequently, from a couple of weeks to a couple of months, with a preference to the shorter timescale.
Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.
Build projects around motivated individuals. Give them the environment and support they need, and trust them to get the job done.
The most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a development team is face-to-face conversation.
Working software is the primary measure of progress.
Agile processes promote sustainable development. The sponsors, developers, and users should be able to maintain a constant pace indefinitely.
Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design enhances agility.
Simplicity--the art of maximizing the amount of work not done--is essential.
The best architectures, requirements, and designs emerge from self-organizing teams.
At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.

The Mindset Regarding Changes
• Incomplete research
• Misunderstandings
• Error propagation
• Mismatches because of changing market
conditions
11
Requirements change during projects
12. 12
An active approach to absorbing
changes
• Not analogous to a sponge absorbing water
• Analogous to a shock absorber designed to
smooth the driving experience for
passengers
12
13. 13
Several approaches to absorbing
changes
• Information radiators
• Alternative ways to capture information
• Ri-level practitioners
• A series of cooperative games
13
14. 14
Information Radiators
• Large (easily seen)
• Easy to understand
• In conspicuous location
• Up-to-date, changing information
14
The opposite is an information closet
15. 15
An alternative training approach
• Capture educational information
from interactive sessions in rich
formats
• One-to-one format with Q&A
• Employ visual aides
15
This approach relies on the interaction that results from dialog
17. 17
Practitioners
• Shu-level: Learned a technique but is not
aware of the limitations. Looks for broad
level clues.
• Ha-level: Collected multiple techniques but
may not know why they are appropriate for
every context.
• Ri-level: Invent and blend techniques. Insist
on contextual clues before providing
recommendations.
17
18. 18
Ri-level practitioners
• Narrow or broad context
• Craft experiments
• Produce prototypes rapidly
• Distinguishes unvalidated inputs from
validated inputs
• Shape project requirements
18
19. 19
Development as a cooperative
game
• Cooperative, finite, goal-seeking, group
game
• Team consists of individuals with many
diverse roles
• System orientation
• Resource-limited
• Harmony
