particles. Elementary particles are the building blocks of matter and are separated into two groups,
Leptons and Quarks. Both Leptons and Quarks contain groups and generations. The groups,

broken up in three pairs. Up and Down Quark, Charm and Strange Quark, and Top and Bottom

Since coming to the Rice University in 2012, I have taught three courses at undergraduate and
graduate levels.
The large variety of audiences, ranging from undergraduate juniors, professional masters, first–year
graduate students, and advanced graduate students majored in nuclear and particle physics, required
me to develop different teaching objectives and approaches. I have received strong positive
feedback from the students. I am mentoring a highly productive research group consisting of
postdoc fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students.

Graduate students have already developed a certain level of proficiency in learning new materials
and solving problems independently.
I believe the best approach for advanced graduate courses is to guide the students through a broad
range of topics so that they can perform in–depth reading of the materials outside the class.
Following this philosophy, instead of presenting traditional lectures,
I gave reading assignment for each chapter of the main textbook, and designated one student to give
a lecture to the class every time. Toward the end of each lecture,
I added important points that were either not covered or not explained very clearly.
In this way, everyone in the class was actively engaged in reading course materials and participating
in discussions. Besides, I regularly organized reading session of original scientific papers to
stimulate thinkings and intriguing discussions.
I have taught the undergraduate course on textit{``Intermediate Electrodynamics''} in the Spring
semester since 2015.
This is a core course for junior students majored in physics. It is the first time students
systematically learn the important subjects such as Maxwell Equations and Special
Relativity, and associated mathematical tools (such as vector and tensor algebra, partial differential
equation, etc.), which are crucial for developing a solid

Tim Berners–Lee has contributed the most to the advancement of internet technology. Tim Berners–
Lee is a hero because he developed software that made the internet easier to access and navigate,
with this it also improved worldwide communication, and he refused the money that came with his
inventions.
Tim Berners–Lee developed the protocol that unleashed the power of the internet. Berners–Lee
developed three softwares, "Berners–Lee developed software containing processing for encoding
documents (HTTP), linking them (HTML), and addressing them (URL)."(Citation B, P.2). These
three software languages set the basis for what the internet is today. Furthermore, "Berners–Lee
created the latest HTML 3.2, this makes the internet easy for an average computer user." Citation A,
P.9) This allows for anyone to access the internet and share information with the click of a button.
Secondly, Berners–Lee is a hero because he improved worldwide communication ability. He
