Study MBBS in Nepal is the wise decision as Nepal provides an excel opportunity to many international candidates belong from different parts of the world.
1. How Is Life After MBBS?
I have complete my final year but I am yet to finish my internship but I think be able to answer this
question.
After my Finals-
1. 1–2 month holiday. Initial 15 days excited as hell, went a vacation. Enjoy my time. Rest entire
holiday waiting for the result and anxiety keep on building as day pass, more doubt develop in
mind. The diagram was correct. Did I attempt all the questions?
2. Finally results come up. Guess what? You are doctor now! Internship starts within a week of
results. Fight with classmate over department choice so that PSM aligns with your NEET-PG
exam.(You will understand this if you are a medico)
3. Internship starts. Exciting as hell the initial 15 days, then the novelty wears off and you realized
that you are being a glorify nurse. Seniors are the best to make fun of you and make you work
like a horse at the same time.
4. Provisional Registration and other paperwork.
Parents are proud as hell and happy too. Relatives are congratulating you left and right. The Society start
giving you a tiny bit more respect than before. This period doesn't last long.
5. NEET comes again, this time you think you are better prepared. You attempted the exam
and wait for the results. You do not get the desire rank. If you do not then the same process
repeat and you lose the confidence. you have.. People start judging you and Parents start
worrying about you. If you do get the rank, then congratulations you are set! You will have
to always keep learning new advances in healthcare and Medical technology.
6. It depend on a few aspect.
7. What do you want with your life and where have you completed your MBBS from.
8. In my case during my internship I decided I won't pursue a career in medicine as it was so hectic. I
have always a lazy lad and would like to be so.
9. I found out that I had a keen interest an teaching PMT aspirants and it seemed very fulfilling. After
my internship on the pretext of prepared for PG ( just to show my dad ) I also started teaching, it
was a buck load of money and I could really connect with students.
10. I decided to pursue this as my passion and started working on my startup that incorporates
complete online solutions for NEET aspirants. And the thing I'm working to make it more and
more interactive.
11. So life for me after MBBS has been very fulfilling unlike my friends who are still muddling their
heads with Harrison and Robbins.
12. Remain as mbbs - this is again a sizeable number because of the sheer lack of post
graduation seats in our country. By the time they are realized the cannot do they are already
27 to 29 - willing to settle down but cannot social commitments. They usually work in govt.
or private. In govt. sector -life is again mix for a PHC-it about being on duty 24/7 with or
without any basic facilities. Posting in a metro is a very difficult. In some state and pay is
even lesser than a domestic maid.
2. 13. Go for PG - this is the most sought after option in India. At the outset let me be clear - there
are n number of factors that determine the future of MBBS pass outs. A 3 hour exam literally
dictates what is going to do for the rest of life. The main problem here the doctors get
committed to their profession so much that they forget and they are living - sadly this is
being glorified in medical circles.
14. It isn't the best phase of life. Post MBBS either the gloomiest part of your life. where the
uncertainty of time, your short coming, overpower of you.
Or, it could be the most constructive phase where you learn and grow like never before. Understand the
real essence of medicine while prepare for the future prospect of residency/ specialization or let the
anxiety of being away from the Best Friends and loneliness drowns you. It is very much depend on your
approach towards life. Either ways, It is not a cake walk.
15. Medicine is an ocean and we must learn to swim now that we made the glorious dive into it.
