The student created a magazine front cover by first adding a background color and masthead font. They then placed an edited image of the featured artist without a background. Additional elements were added like the artist's name in red then black for better appearance. A top sell line was included in the masthead color but changed for variety. Other elements like the barcode, price, issue date and cover lines about the artist were incorporated with different colors for visual interest.

How I Made My Magazine Front Cover
The first thing that I did was add a background
to the front cover I had an idea of what colours I
wanted and then found the right colour and
stuck with it. I then added the masthead, it took
me a while to choose the font but then I chose
the one that I thought well suited the genre of
my magazine. The next thing that I did was add
the image of the artist, I had already edited it,
by gettingof the background, and then I just
placed it where I wanted it.
The things that I did on the
background were add a
gradient, overlay and effects.
I then added the name of the
artist which is ‘Enzo’ and I put
the artists name in red, but
then I thought that it didn’t look
right so I decided to change it.

I then chose to have it in black
because I thought it looked
more professional and
sophisticated.
I then added the top sell line,
and I added this to make my
magazine seem more realistic,
and I made it the same colour
as my masthead but I thought
that it looked a bit too much
because it was two things that
were the same colour.
So then I changed the colour
and chose a colour that was
similar to the jacket that the
artists I swearing, so that it
matches.

I then added the barcode
which I got of the internet, and
added the price of my
magazine.
Next I added the issue of the
magazine and the date that it
is being released.
I then added some of the
cover lines, and I didn’t want
all of them to be the same
colour so I didn’t some of it the
same colour as the top
sellsline and some of them the
same colour as the masthead.

I then added the rest of the
cover lines and both of them
were linked to the artist ‘Enzo’,
one is a quote, and another is
a statement about him.
