Practices?
INTR0DUCTION
Human resources are the most important in any organization. They form the foundation and
collect resources to keep the structure standing. Their work involves strategic planning, running
through data, marking, analyzing, filtering, and scheduling. And all these can be done in a snap in
a very efficient manner today.
But not so long ago, technology was not as developed enough to help and yet recruiting took
place just fine. So what changed today? In what way has digital recruiting affected HR practices.
Are they good? Are they bad? Or a little of both. It is a little of both. Especially in changing times
of digital dominance, it has been nothing but a blessing. Rather a necessity at times.
Significance of Technology in HR Practices
The hiring industry is the core of any industry’s growth. It is
crucial to run smoothly if one needs their company to run
smoothly. If the pillars of fortitude are weak, the falling is always
settled. One blow and the entire structure crashes. So it is
essential to make sure the right people run the company. AI
(Artificial intelligence) in recruiting is the most recent
advancement and is taking over the industry rapidly.
Why the Need for Technology in HR Practices?
The advent of web 2.0 and web 3.0 led to the desperate use of technology to ease and replace
mankind wherever possible. Interactive Messaging and Artificial Intelligence started assisting
humans. Meanwhile, the reasons for technological advancements affecting HR practices are the
same as any other industry.
● Increase in demand leading to the need for automation to speed up the process
● Talent needs to get customized
● Mass hiring is becoming more prevalent than ever
● Globalization has increased the job market to a level no one would’ve imagined
Due to these reasons, hiring practices had to be evolved in time. The recruiting process needed to
match the pace of a growing organization. And so technological intervention came into being, and
with it came the repercussions.
How are Technologies Affecting HR Practices?
● Communicating became easier
● Greater pool of candidates
● Record keeping and analytics at the tip of your fingers
● Sorting with the help of AI
● Hiring has become cheaper
Should You Worry about HR Practices being Affected by Technologies?
Not at all. Technology has done nothing but good to the hiring industry. The latter is the
result of over or lesser abuse. It’s just like the story of AI. When artificial intelligence was
being introduced for the recruiting industry. All the recruiters condemned its usage. They
believed that it’ll replace them. But now, AI is an HRs best friend.
HRs should instead indulge in creating a digital presence for themselves. Technology has
made it way easier to network than it was. Building a personal brand and a loyal set of
individuals that follow you is a massive plus in the recruiting world. Earlier you could reach
a few hundred at maximum. Today, the sky’s the limit.

● According to a leading online employment solution, India’s AI and machine
learning job demand is predicted to grow.
● Industry reports indicate that AI/machine learning investments will grow
at 33.49% annually by 2023.
● The report forecasts that about 45% of organizations’ customer support
services will be powered by chatbots by 2022, thereby enhancing customer
engagement.
● More and more organizations are adopting chatbots for customer support
services.
Conclusion
With the rise of invention, there’s no limit to the advancements in different fields. We
must make sure that recruiters evolve themselves with time. Not only because the
system wants them to but also to cope with the pressure it all comes with. It is a boon
to the recruitment industry and will benefit HR practices in unimaginable ways if used
well. But it failed to do so. Nothing is going to help from creating an unimaginable
ruckus in your organization.

  • 2. INTR0DUCTION Human resources are the most important in any organization. They form the foundation and collect resources to keep the structure standing. Their work involves strategic planning, running through data, marking, analyzing, filtering, and scheduling. And all these can be done in a snap in a very efficient manner today. But not so long ago, technology was not as developed enough to help and yet recruiting took place just fine. So what changed today? In what way has digital recruiting affected HR practices. Are they good? Are they bad? Or a little of both. It is a little of both. Especially in changing times of digital dominance, it has been nothing but a blessing. Rather a necessity at times.
  • 3. Significance of Technology in HR Practices The hiring industry is the core of any industry’s growth. It is crucial to run smoothly if one needs their company to run smoothly. If the pillars of fortitude are weak, the falling is always settled. One blow and the entire structure crashes. So it is essential to make sure the right people run the company. AI (Artificial intelligence) in recruiting is the most recent advancement and is taking over the industry rapidly.
  • 4. Why the Need for Technology in HR Practices? The advent of web 2.0 and web 3.0 led to the desperate use of technology to ease and replace mankind wherever possible. Interactive Messaging and Artificial Intelligence started assisting humans. Meanwhile, the reasons for technological advancements affecting HR practices are the same as any other industry. ● Increase in demand leading to the need for automation to speed up the process ● Talent needs to get customized ● Mass hiring is becoming more prevalent than ever ● Globalization has increased the job market to a level no one would’ve imagined Due to these reasons, hiring practices had to be evolved in time. The recruiting process needed to match the pace of a growing organization. And so technological intervention came into being, and with it came the repercussions.
  • 5. How are Technologies Affecting HR Practices? ● Communicating became easier ● Greater pool of candidates ● Record keeping and analytics at the tip of your fingers ● Sorting with the help of AI ● Hiring has become cheaper
  • 6. Should You Worry about HR Practices being Affected by Technologies? Not at all. Technology has done nothing but good to the hiring industry. The latter is the result of over or lesser abuse. It’s just like the story of AI. When artificial intelligence was being introduced for the recruiting industry. All the recruiters condemned its usage. They believed that it’ll replace them. But now, AI is an HRs best friend. HRs should instead indulge in creating a digital presence for themselves. Technology has made it way easier to network than it was. Building a personal brand and a loyal set of individuals that follow you is a massive plus in the recruiting world. Earlier you could reach a few hundred at maximum. Today, the sky’s the limit.

Latest update ● According to a leading online employment solution, India’s AI and machine learning job demand is predicted to grow. ● Industry reports indicate that AI/machine learning investments will grow at 33.49% annually by 2023. ● The report forecasts that about 45% of organizations’ customer support services will be powered by chatbots by 2022, thereby enhancing customer engagement. ● More and more organizations are adopting chatbots for customer support services.
  • 8. Conclusion With the rise of invention, there’s no limit to the advancements in different fields. We must make sure that recruiters evolve themselves with time. Not only because the system wants them to but also to cope with the pressure it all comes with. It is a boon to the recruitment industry and will benefit HR practices in unimaginable ways if used well. But it failed to do so. Nothing is going to help from creating an unimaginable ruckus in your organization.
