The document contains 9 benchmarks for thinking from Steve Jobs that one should stick on their wall. The benchmarks encourage the reader to [1] follow their passion and keep looking until they find what they love, [2] focus on doing meaningful work rather than accumulating wealth, [3] live an authentic life according to their own beliefs and not be constrained by others' opinions, [4] think about how designs work rather than just how they look, [5] have hope and trust that things will work out even if the future is unclear, [6] realize that customers don't always know what they want, [7] reflect daily on living life to the fullest without regrets, [8] persist through challenges

Life brings us BIG obstacles, and smaller obstacles.
The big ones might include bankruptcy, uncertainty after divorce, and sometimes career issues that bury us and don’t seem to resolve.
Our hearts get beat up.
Our souls become battered.
And yet there’s always somebody who wants to tell us to find joy in our journey! And we want to roll our eyes and say, “Ick. Another Pollyanna that wants to tell me to just think positive.”
But IF we can find a way to find some joy, those big obstacles won’t take such a toll on us. Because even the biggest trees may one day FALL.
I’ve put together 5 scrumptious ways to find joy in life’s journey, no matter what you may be going through.
This is for you if you wonder …
. If we’re supposed to find joy in the journey, why do we have so many blasted struggles?
. The dumbest way we de-rail ourselves
. Is “free will” real, or is it just an illusion designed to throw us out of joy?

Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

How different is your thinking
1. How Different Is Your Thinking?
Steve Jobs’
9 benchmarks
you should stick
on your wall
2. Thinking on PURPOSE (1)
If you haven't found it yet, KEEP LOOKING!
Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart,
you'll know when you find it.
And, like any great
relationships, it just
gets better and better
as the years roll on.
3. Thinking on PURPOSE (2)
Being the richest man IN THE CEMENTARY
doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night
saying we’ve done something wonderful,
THAT’S
WHAT
MATTERS
TO ME.
4. Thinking on PURPOSE (3)
YOUR TIME IS
LIMITED, SO DON'T
WASTE IT LIVING
SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE.
Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the
results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of
other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And
most important, have the courage to follow your heart
and intuition. They somehow already know what you
truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
6. Thinking on HOPE
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you
can only connect them looking backwards. So you
have to trust that the dots will somehow
connect in your future. You have to trust in
something - your gut,
destiny, life, karma,
whatever. This
approach has never let
me down, and it has
made all the difference
in my life.
7. Thinking on CURIOSITY
You can't just ask customers what they want
and then try to give that to them.
By the time you
get it built,
they’ll want
something new.
8. Thinking on COURAGE
When I was 17, I read a quote. "If you live each day
as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be
right." It made an impression on me, and since then,
for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every
morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day
my life, would I want to do what
I am about to do today?" And
whenever the answer has
been NO for too many days in
a row, I know I need to
change something.
9. Thinking on TENACITY
I’m convincd that about half of what separates
the successful entrepreneurs from the non-
successful ones is pure
PERSERVERANCE
10. Barack Obama Got It Right
“... brave enough to
think differently,
bold enough to
believe he could
change the world,
and talented
enough to do it."
11. Isn’t it time for you to
live your best life?
