technologies in the construction
and research, planning and
evaluation stages?

2. Research
In research I use the internet as well as using the media
products themselves. I looked at many local
newspapers, mainly The News, and I looked at their layouts
their imagery, the colour schemes that they used and I also
looked at the variation in layout that they produce with
every published newspaper.
I looked at newspaper website pages and I looked at what
type of thing they had on there for example the weather and
search bars. I used websites such as Wikipedia to look up
media terms during the research stages. I used Google as my
main search engine to look up website and any media terms
that I needed to know.

3. Planning
In planning I used software such as my blog where I published my
audience feedback for the survey that I printed and took for
people to complete.
I used word to transfer the results and then I posted them to my

4. Planning
I used Flickr in my planning stages as this was the website that
allowed me to put all my photos onto my blog. I was able to
present them in a orderly way.

5. Construction
In construction I used Apple
Macs and I used software on
them such as Photoshop to edit
any images that I had. I used this
to cut out a boy in a picture I had
taken so that I could use him in
one of my advertisements. I
found it very easy to use once I
knew the basic controls.
I used InDesign to construct most
of my newspaper cover page and
inside page. I found it easy to use
because I was able to insert grid
lines to help me layout my
newspaper. There where a lot of
useful tools on the software and
the final product looks
professionally done.

6. Construction
IWeb was used to construct my
website pages. I found this
slightly hard to use because I
didn’t understand how to do
things like crop an image
however with some
experimenting I was able to
overcome the problem.
I used a digital camera for most
of my images, but from around
February I was finding it
increasingly easy to take photos
as I purchased an I Phone so I
was able to take good quality
photos whenever I had the
chance.

7. Evaluation
