A Bi-Toroid Transformer (BiTT) has two key advantages over a conventional transformer: 1. When unloaded, the BiTT operates like a conventional transformer with zero power consumption. 2. When loaded, the BiTT diverts the magnetic flux induced in the secondary coils away from the primary coil, preventing an increase in primary coil current and power consumption. This allows the BiTT to maintain zero power consumption even when loaded. 3. As a result, the BiTT has higher efficiency and lower heating than a conventional transformer since its primary coil power consumption does not increase with load.
